By Forever Go To PostHow is a dude with asthma and sleep apnea is supposed to succeed in the NBA.I'd throw down money betting most of the NBA has sleep apnea.
Has there ever been a such a player?

Can't wait until we change our logo. Jesus it sucks.
I've hated every Wolves logo that isn't the original. I don't know if that makes me an old man yelling at clouds, but god damn is that throwback look pretty. They're rebranding next year for the re-opening of Target Center, so I'm hoping Thibs does the right thing.
By Fenderputty Go To PostSo apparently Jeannie had no clue Byron was getting axed. I'm not sure why you would admit the two top dogs are so dysfunctional they can't even communicate with each other, but … there it is.she's gonna clean house next summer.
for what? just to bring her bff home?
what a mess this family has become.
sell the team to a billionaire philanthropist.

It's astoundingly awful but hell, look at most of the corporate logos across America nowadays.

I'm not sure why people expected Jeanie to have input on a coaching change, she never has had input on matters relating to on the court decisions.

I don't think it's so crazy that she wasn't notified that they weren't picking up Byron's contract option.

It could be a big issue later but maybe cause I really wanted this to happen for a while I'm just enjoying Scott being gone.

Firing a senior person like that is something all your top level should be in on.

this current GSW squad can coach themselves.
maybe because luke knows how to get through to players?
the team can coach themselves because the staff put them in that position... if it's because of Kerr or Walton remains to be seen...
Keep my team the fuck away from a group of billionaire hedge fund owners please. Phil doesn't have to run it but fuck if we're going to hand the keys over to some fast talking 35-year-old MBA used car salesman.
I'd rather do the coach/GM role with a really really solid dude than go the Sixers route.
I don't know who I want coaching the team right now. I don't know much of anything at this point on this team.
I do know that Lemonade is fiyah though!

I feel the next round against the Blazers (I'm assuming) will answer that question. GS has enough to beat them, but they are going to have to do it without their best player. So I expect the adjustments to their system to reflect having a COTY (and a guy who went 39-4) in charge.

Looking back at the last two Celtics drafts...shows getting a bunch of picks don't necessarily mean shit. Rosier, Hunter, and James Young are all euro bad. And really, you can add Marcus Smart to that list too. I'd actually point more towards bad drafts/luck than terrible drafting, but still.

Really makes presti's drafting look so amazing.
KD, YNB, Harden, Ibaka, Reggie, Adams
All without tanking. That's just insane.
A small ball lineup of Reggie/Harden/YNB/Durant/Ibaka would probably be the most unstoppable lineup ever, how do you beat that?

Where would the Celtics be if they had Rodney Hood instead of James Young? Gotta nail these drafts, no excuses.
I'm not sure how I feel about Fisher getting the LA job. But I think he should definitely be Scott Brooks head assistant in Washington. They've got a good relationship, he can take over if Brooks gets ejected, and a few more years of experience under his belt and he could go and be a coach easily after that.
I think he took the NY job for the money, I don't think he planned on coaching but you can't turn down 25 million when you've never made that in 5 years as a player. So jumping into the LA job just to satisfy his ego and show he can do something that he's not really ready to do isn't a good sign.

KD was a no brainer... He struck gold with YNB but he should have most likely gone 3rd...
Looking at the 2009 draft he could have ended up with Harden, Rubio or Curry... so a pretty good chance he'd end up with a solid player....
Impressed with Ibaka and Reggie... you also forgot Blesoe.
I think Presti does his homework but has had a lot of good picks in good drafts to work with
Presti deserves plenty of criticism (especially for his trades) but his drafting record is impeccable. Adams was a great pick for where we got him.
Harden was far from the consensus pick at #3. Westbrook was mostly projected to go near #10. Most mocks had us picking Jerryd Bayless iirc. Payne has looked promising when he's played too.

I'll never complain about Presti's ability to draft just like I'll never complain about Hinkie's ability to accumulate assets via trades.
It's just that they're really bad at multiple other really important parts of being a GM with Presti being much better on balance than Hinkie.

He didn't workout for the Wolves. but in David Kahn's one shining moment, he realized Ricky was too good to not take, even if we had to wait for two years.
At worst, though, people thought Harden wouldn't slip past Minnesota at 5/6. He was a very highly thought of prospect.
By @BulletsForeverBrooks says he has two simple rules:Having listened to Scott Brooks on "mic'd up" for 5 years I can confirm this.
1. Play hard every night.
2. Play hard for your teammates.

I honestly don't think Ainge planned to keep those picks even down to the last second. It's been mentioned before but you got to stagger the years of picks you draft for to maximize value. No way is Ainge keeping all the picks he has this too. I expect Philly and Boston to sell at least one pick at least.
I mean realistically a ton of picks in a shitty draft are just bad cap holds
A 29-year-old South Sudanese man told officials he wasn’t lying when he allegedly posed as a teenager to attend high school in Canada — he just didn’t know his real age.
Wearing a loose orange jumpsuit, Jonathan Elia Nicola, who has been held by immigration since April 15, attended a brief detention hearing in Windsor on Tuesday and was ordered to remain in custody because he was considered a flight risk.
He did not provide further testimony at the hearing, but at an earlier detention review, the 6-foot-9 Nicola, who was enrolled in Grade 11 and played basketball on his Windsor high school team, said he did not know how old he really was because his mother kept telling him different ages.
“I aways keep asking what is the specific age that I was born, and she has told me that she could not remember,” he told the April 19 hearing.
“Over (in South Sudan) . . . not every year we study . . . we always keep moving to different schools, and over there, they do not ask your age. They do not ask you nothing,” Nicola said.
All he wanted, he told officials, was to get a good education in Canada so he could support his family back home.
“I am not a liar person. I am religious. I pray to God . . . If something bad happen to me here, I do not know what would happen to my mother back home because she is really sick. She has diabetes,” Nicola said.

Fisher, according to a source, is hoping that his connections to Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will make him more attractive to the Lakers, who have missed out on key free agents the past few summers.
Shoulda fucked their wives if he wanted a connection with them.
