So Manny Machado doubled off Yordano Ventura with two on in the first inning opening up the scoring.
For Manny's next at bat, Ventura decides he's going to throw inside. Fine. Manny makes decent contact, the wind keeps it in the park and the two exchange words.
In the fifth inning, Ventura, who's given up five runs at this point, decides, fuck it, I'm just hitting this motherfucker. Manny charges the mound and benches clear. Both players tossed.
Sitting here now fully expecting Givens--who's come on in relief of Ubaldo--to retaliate because baseball players are fucking idiots.

For real, FUCK Yordano Ventura. It's time for a nice, long, suspension. Give him 40 games.
I would say something snarky about the Astros, but at this point it really isn't funny anymore. It's just sad.

By blackace Go To PostMs need to right the shipThey've got a lot of talent. I'm sure they'll get over this and the AL west will be very close unless the Rangers can somehow schedule in some extra games against the astros.

Yo! Pumped with Kyle Lewis!!!
He could have gone top 5 and no would have batted an eye...
What a pick up!

There's just so many sports going on right now. And baseball is everyday, day after day after day.....
Chris Tillman is quietly 10-1. Fuck Arrieta.

not with Cole Hamels on the mound they ain't.
Rangers probably need one more starter. Colby isn't coming back any time soon, and I'm fucking done with Derek Holland. I never want to see him on the hill for the Rangers again. But......the thought of trading one of Profar/Gallo/Brinson makes me sick to my stomach.

Speaking of Angels.....
Andrew Heaney needs Tommy John. Angels announced he is expected to miss the rest of 2016 and the entire 2017 season.

By SuperMalo Go To PostRangers ready to give up one of Profar/Gallo for Miller or Chapman? We're ready, enron.
No thanks. With the way things are going, the Rangers are going to need to save the trade ammo for a starter.
Machado hit homeruns in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd innings today. 9th time a player has hit a HR in three consecutive innings, first since 2002, in MLB history. O's over White Sox 10-2.
That's awesome. Junior would have obliterated the homerun record if he would have hopped on that PED train and stayed fit. He would have done so without the help of roids, but they would have probably kept him on the field more often.

Don't know if PEDs would have helped him without actually working out..
But so far the greatest CFer I have ever seen..

Who
I can't believe how terribly the Yankees treated A-Rod this season and it makes me angrier watching this last game. The guy sacrificed so much to come to their team, carried them to a WS and clearly loves being a Yankee. Hope he can go to Miami and get 4 more homers
oh hey Steven Matz has a no-no through 7.

We've continued to play OK even with Kersh out, but really it's the Giants slide that's helped s ton here
Cant believe Houston didn't catch Texas with their pathetic starting pitching. I feel like Texas is going to get bounced out of the playoffs unless Colby comes back.
The Braves rebuild is such a bust thus far.
Folty - bust
Wisler - bust
Blair - on his way to being a bust
Jenkins - not a starting pitcher at the MLB level. He's barely a decent AAA starter.

OH WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK???
Mets signed OF Tim Tebow to a minor league contract.Jesus Fucking Christ Almighty.
He'll begin his professional baseball "career" next week at the Mets' instructional league in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Tebow showed impressive batting practice power but little else in a workout with major league teams (and throngs of media) last month in Los Angeles. The 29-year-old seems doubtful to make it past Low-A ball, assuming this experiment persists into 2017 and beyond. We mostly feel bad for all the Mets beat writers who had been covering an intriguing National League Wild Card race.

It's ok. Just know it wasn't for the novelty.
While I and the organization, I think, are mindful of the novel nature of this situation, this decision was strictly driven by baseball," he said. "This was not something that was driven by marketing considerations or anything of the sort. We are extremely intrigued with the potential that Tim has. He has demonstrated over his athletic career that he is a tremendous athlete, has got character, a competitive spirit. Aside from the age, this is a classic player-development opportunity for us. As an organization, we're going to provide that development opportunity for time."

As this season comes to an end it's finally setting in that Vin is retiring. I can't begin to describe how depressed that makes me as a Dodger fan.
I can't believe Jose Fernandez is dead... I was a kid during the Steve Crews tragedy so I have a faint understanding of this, but a guy who has a legit star pitcher fulfilling his American dream... and was going to pitch against the Mets on Monday. I just can't believe this.
