By reilo Go To PostKind of a hail mary to bey on Exum after his ACL injury, no?Not in 2016.
Guys bounce back from that way better than they used to. Microfracture or foot issue? Totally different story.
If Charlotte adds Dwight and Grayson Allen dy and I might become allies
what a time
Lakers getting Ben Simmons gets me hype too
Somebody snatch me up

I've always had a great appreciation for the Pacific Northwest and am a big fan of the Lillard/McCulluuom (sp?) backcourt reilo

I enjoy the show Silicon Valley and I hear that the Golden State Warriors seem to have an attractive future.
article about grunfeld getting an extension got 153 comments in under an hour on bullets forever lmao
lmao @ Phaze avatar
It wouldn't make sense to become a MEM or NOP fans atm unless D-League players getting 10-day contracts is your thing.
Also, I would suggest to follow a team that share the same timezone as the Wiz.

peaking in the first round should be right up your alley.

My requirements are to have an owner that's shown evidence to actually care about winning and a GM that isn't thought of as garbage

With extension news, Ernie Grunfeld will now be GM for 25% of total seasons in #Wizards franchise history, including Chicago Packers days.
I'm willing to admit that frustration tears nearly came but I held them back
By ErikHoestra Go To PostGrunfield got an extension?
He's been getting under the table 1 year extensions every year for a while now without the fact being published. Clearly for the sake of avoiding headlines and riling up the fanbase.
It's just not fun anymore. The idea of "that's my team tho!" despite the actions of ownership isn't loyalty--it's stupid and enabling.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIt's just not fun anymore. The idea of "that's my team tho!" despite the actions of ownership isn't loyalty–it's stupid and enabling.I've written as much on this very forum before, but you aren't obligated to continue blindly supporting a sports franchise just because you have before. You can say I'm fairweather, that I'm not a true die hard and while it's not an assessment I'd agree with, I don't really care. You don't owe professional sports anything. Just because Glen Taylor keeps bothering to field a team with Minnesota on its chest doesn't mean I have to care when he keeps running the ship aground and hiring dopes like David Kahn and Kurt Rambis.

I'm fairly certain I would never be able to root for anyone but the Lakers. Give me another 3-5 years of fuckboy Jim Buss ruining the team and I'll probably just stop watching B-Ball though. Just follow the team through news outlets and avoid giving them anything that could be construed as monetary support.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIt's just not fun anymore. The idea of "that's my team tho!" despite the actions of ownership isn't loyalty–it's stupid and enabling.I started rooting for the Blazers not because they were local but I generally liked a lot of the players and attitude around the team. My biggest pet peeve for rooting on behalf of any given team is usually someone on the team is a shitheel, and most definitely the owner is. You shouldn't have to root for any one team based on location or because others set up dumbass arbitrary rules. Nor any of that "lifelong" shit, as if any team should be guaranteed your loyalty when they have basically time and again shat on the fans, especially if said team has moved or created a situation in which you can't even go see a fucking game.
I always thought I was a diehard but I'm not and I don't care to be. I love the lakers but if they're putting a shit product on the floor for 3 years I don't see a reason to spend 10 hours a week watching shit basketball games.
I can say with certainty that I watched 90% of laker games in their entirety between 1995-2013. I'm just not interested anymore of watching a team with no X's and O's sophistication that's also putting a non entertaining shit product on the floor.
They're still the team I root for, and the team I want to win above all else. I'm just not going to invest 10-12 hours a week following/watching them exclusively.

By Kabro Go To PostPhaze pls we both know you're a pseudo laker fan.
I loved the Kobe/Lamar/Pau squad. I'm not sure if I could get down with this Jim Buss/D'Angelo Russell led shit though.
One thing that's really infectious about the Lakers though is that like the Redskins when shit goes sour there's no lack of people ready to make their frustrations known. You'll have Magic and all kinds of former players coming out the woodwork ready to shit on whoever's fucking up.
When you feel like you don't have a voice as a fan you feel helpless. This might be the first year in a while that the local DC media has started to finally start catching on to the Leonsis/Grunfeld bullshit.
With that said the Lakers need to land Simmons or something and I might get hype
By DY_nasty Go To PostI'd LOVE to trade Lamb to move up for Grayson. Someone has to bite on that.
he should be a top 10 pick if people had any sense
I don't think Lamb has much trade value
man what in the absolute fuck @ Towns' rookie stats
There's been a shift in how the Lakers have been drafting due to Ryan West involvement. I think they picked on San antonio's philosophy on not just talent but character as well i.e, if potential draft pick have overcome struggles in life.
With that said, I was correct when they would pick dlo, Nance Jr and upshaw.
I think they're first choice is Ingram

By Fenderputty Go To PostJim Buss supposed only has one more year on his self imposed timeline. I'm not holding my breath.Jeannie already has a one way ticket for Phil to come home.
The question is, which triangle coach is he eyeing on?
I became a Spurs fan in 99 when my pops forced me to watch the finals with him, when all I wanted to do was play N64 and Game Boy all day. He is a Knicks fan so I rooted for the Spurs out of spite. After that I started actually paying attention to the NBA and became a fan of the game.
I've only gotten the Lakers to keep their pick twice in 15 tries via espn nba lottery mock lol
knux get hype

just how we all laughed when knicks dropped last year, I fear this might be the lakers' turn now
we can all hope

Nah ... I don't believe in this conspiracy shit you're all implying (especially after basketball reasons). I'm genuinely scared we get nothing this year.
By Fenderputty Go To PostNah … I don't believe in this conspiracy shit you're all implying (especially after basketball reasons). I'm genuinely scared we get nothing this year.I don't either, I'm just joking.
I honestly don't feel like we deserve anything at this point. 9 wins man.....9 fucking wins.
I also don't really like Simmons like that (for us mainly but in general in some ways). I think Inghram is neat but Grayson was the real star of Duke IMO. I like Dunn a lot...perhaps more than I should. SO I'm cool with falling to 4. I'd get to troll Hinkie Stans and still probably get a solid player...so fuck it.
i don't even care about the playoffs. I just want to fast forward to next season to see if winslow's offense improves. I want to believe in him so much.

Shiiiid if we keep our pick I'm gonna get d'angerously drunk. I'd pop a bottle if we get the #3 pick and end up drafting Dragon Bender Bending Rodriguez. I'm not choosy believe me, I'm just not convinced the franchise can be turned around with any of the top 3 rookies this draft.
I might be turning around on Simmons
I think he might actually be made of steel or some shit. I still don't understand how he doesn't react to contact at all. Guys fly off him and I'm starting to think it's the same in the next level.

That's because KAT was way better than anyone in this draft though.
