Suarez with 7th assist in this Europa League season, more than any other player.
Suarez and Suarez will win us the treble in 2017.

Superb ball from both the players.
Seemed way off during play but yeah completely onside
Strange game, at 90 minutes that was fine from Liverpool, 91 mins and it becomes a disaster.
The blame should go to Klopp. Villarreal were there for the taking in the second half and he bizarrely refused to make any attacking subs, with Sturridge available. Again, if it had ended 0-0 there wouldn't be any cause for complaint but now it's a massive mistake from him.

No away goal conceded and a goal scored.

incredible
Klopp needs to buy a replacement for Moreno who can actually defend. Comedy defending yet again

What exactly did Moreno do wrong in defence? It was Toure who made the mistake for the goal.
By Francis Go To PostDeserved win, though. We can, but we've thrown away a massive chance to get the advantage
Still think Liverpool can do it.
Starting with Sturridge on the bench is fine, but leaving him on there while the game is there for the taking is frankly bollocks.

By FootballFan Go To PostVillarreal don't concede a lot of goals, will be a great second legThey won't be conceding any if we play that lineup again
By sohois Go To PostWhat exactly did Moreno do wrong in defence? It was Toure who made the mistake for the goal.Completely out of position for that last goal. Had he been covering Suarez I don't think that goal would have been scored as easily.

Ridiculously open considering its the last minute, and we dont have pace in the middle
By Francis Go To PostIbe was nothing short of horrendous as well.Reckon he's on his way out in the summer. Apparently the relationship with Klopp is as worse as Benteke's, maybe more.
Could not pick a pass to save his life tonight.
By Francis Go To PostIbe was nothing short of horrendous as well.I don't recall him giving it away much, but he certainly didn't get involved at all

By Hitch Go To PostEntire team fucked up for that imoSure. But in general, I don't think Moreno can hack it. I don't really like Clyne either but he's at least competent and fills the homegrown quota.

From what I've seen of Smith, our only left-footed backup, he's basically the exact same player
By ATTICUS H Go To PostMeier what are the best prospects coming up? You think Pep will integrate them?Hard to say about how many he'll give a shot. He's played a few young players at Bayern quite often this season so I think there's a chance a few will get a good opportunity. Brahim Diaz is probably the biggest talent in City's academy. He looks like an absolute can't miss and I expect he'll get some first team action next season in cup games and the like (16 right now). He'll be playing regularly for the EDS next season I'd imagine.
City have a few EDS players out on loan who are playing fairly regularly (Seko Fofana, Olivier Ntcham and Jack Byrne) who all look like they'll have very good professional careers ahead of them but they probably won't make it at City. Jason Denayer should get a strong look at the first team but we'll have to see what Pep decides and how the CB situation develops this summer. If we sign a few CBs, then he has no place there but he has played as a RB a lot for Gala so maybe City will sell Zaba as has been mentioned and Denayer could platoon with Sagna.
Aleix Garcia looks like a player who Pep could like. He has played as more of a deep lying playmaker this year and has a very good passing range. He was on the B team at Villarreal when we signed him so he's right on the cusp as a pro.
Patrick Roberts is staying at Celtic next season but certainly seems like a Pep player.
Bersant Celina and Brandon Barker have both played a little for the senior team but Celina has been favored more by Pellegrini. Barker is a winger who is very good on the ball and quite pacey so he'll get a look but it's been rumored that he has some attitude issues so we'll see what happens.
Angelino and Pablo Maffeo will probably both be given looks. I think it's just going to depend on what we do with our old FBs. Kolarov is rumored to leave every summer but this feels like the one he finally might.
Steve has mad disrespect for Villarreal. Quite amazing.
Villareal have been better than us season.
Probably doesn't focus on any matches except Pool.

Villarreal really were bang average for most of the game, which is what makes the result all the more damning for Klopp. Played right into their hands as well since if there is one thing they can do it's defend. They've shut out better teams than Liverpool and we've just given them the perfect opportunity to do that again.

no not really, a draw would've been better for pool but villarreal's goal ensures they can park their bus and hit them on the counter since pool will be desperate for a goal. leading to stats like that.
