Obviously you can't find someone who is on his level and our problem is that, if both Gündogan and Hummels are leaving, we're letting our creative part go.
Hummels is a massive factor in creating our game, even far more important than Gündogan (especially since Weigl is slowly growing into that role).
Subotic/Sokratis and Bender/Ginter aren't the type of players who can actually create and open a game with a smart pass.
They're both great in tackles and generally defending, but Hummels is creative and anticipates situations and stops an attack before it actually happens.
That's why Subotic is most likely looking for an alternative, but we don't know the extend of it yet.
Sadly he is out with a thrombose anyway...
