I hope Mou doesn't win trophies then leave us as a bereft and shit team with a poorly developed infrastructure meaning we're shit for 3 years straight after he leaves.
By inky Go To Postwin, andClearly not if he came back to Chelsea and Madrid would take him back in a second. The second time at Chelsea the players failed him. This narrative of Jose being some club destroyer who scorches the earth where ever he goes is so tiresome and lazy.

By Frustrated_me Go To PostI would have no problems with Mou back in Madrid sometime in the future.I don't think FloFlo would either. From every rumor so far.
I also don't think Mourinho is interested in returning to Spain and dealing with the media and Barcelona.
Mauricio Pochettino Says Opposition Players Deliberately Provoke Dele AlliNo fucking shit. He has a temper, and a good footballer takes advantage of that.
Let's actually look at the finishing spots of clubs a year after Jose.
Porto 2004-2005 - 2nd
Chelsea 2007-2008 - 2nd, got to CL Final
Inter 2010-2011 - 2nd
Real Madrid 2013-2014 - 3rd, won CL

By Perfect Blue Go To PostClearly not if he came back to Chelsea and Madrid would take him back in a second. The second time at Chelsea the players failed him. This narrative of Jose being some club destroyer who scorches the earth where ever he goes is so tiresome and lazy. The players failed him or he made a situation in which his position was untenable and motivating his team was impossible. The "burnt bridges" doesn't have to be strictly the line to the owner/president (it's a joke, not to be taken literally), but he clearly creates situations in which his only option is to leave, whether it is fan, or results or player pressure. That narrative is not without basis.
And it's obvious United fans are not particularly looking forward to a situation where he succeeds, yet has to leave in an angry fit 2 years in. That's the "scorched earth" people talk about, not a "OMG he ruined the club, they are going to get relegated" situation (no one has ever mentioned, even) you are trying to paint.

Don't worry, the last part would happen either way.

That narrative is not without basis.I don't see how that's different from any other manager who gets sacked/leaves by mutual consent. While in Mourinho's case everyone is hesitant towards him, when the only difference is the rift between himself and the club becomes public. The more interesting narrative WRT is the dude's obsession with Barcelona.
Then you have stuff like this:
By Laboured Go To PostI hope Mou doesn't win trophies then leave us as a bereft and shit team with a poorly developed infrastructure meaning we're shit for 3 years straight after he leaves.lol like wtf. Laboured might be joking but I do see this plenty of times before as a serious reason against hiring Mourinho despite it being easily to verify how false it is.
who of the old man u players will mou antagonize first? probably someone you have to go out of your way to piss off. like yorke

By Woodenpapangus Go To PostDon't worry, the last part would happen either way.Yeah, I think also a problem with him going to United is that the board seems to be split, and with all the LVG fuckery there doesn't seem to be a real plan other than "spend whatever it takes" to rebuild United after the Fergie era.
In any case, I doubt most people wouldn't want Mou to be the next manager (he should've been already), but that it's yet another stopgap that might or might not be a good basis to build upon for the future (and youth plays a big part in this too) is the real question mark.

BREAKING: Dele Alli has been charged with violent conduct by the FAGood, get that temper sorted out before Euros.
France Football saying we're interested in Wilfried Kanga. Whoever that is. Some 18 year old from PSG.
Bet he's a fat winger.
Bet he's a fat winger.
Ronaldo - Benzema - Bale
Modric - Kroos
Casemiro
Marcelo - Ramos - Pepe - Carvajal
Navas
Play a high intensity game, don't give up if we're down by one. Keep the pressure on throughout the game. Play as a team, with a fluid defensive/offensive attack. Casemiro can handle the midfield, especially with Yaya out.
If we walk into this game with the same hunger we displayed in el clasico, then we're good.
Our defence may be shaky, but so is theirs. We just need to suffocate Aguero and their wings.

I'm actually 50-50 about this, since he looked his prime good when played as an attacking midfielder in the last two games.
