By FlutterPuffs Go To PostAm I the only one who thinks Rooney is competent in the center.
The idea of him starting there as a standard state of affairs is a disgrace if we want to give the league a shake again.
I don't think he's such a distribution genius that his top level value endures with knackered legs and a shit touch.
We're back to not taking our midfield seriously - if you can even really argue that (what with chronically overlooking Herrera and Schneiderlin and giving Fellaini a lead role and buying bargain-bin Schweini) we started and continued to properly address it.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostAm I the only one who thinks Rooney is competent in the center.No. Everyone agrees he is competent. But for a regular midfield started for a club like ours we need someone who is more than competent.

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK
The Biancorossi re-established a three point cushion over the Sicilian side with a 1-0 win yesterday, but Paolo Valeri’s officiating was controversial.
Empoli Coach Marco Giampaolo said the performance of the referee “should anger the teams fighting against relegation”, and it has certainly struck a nerve with the Rosanero patron.
“The fight to avoid relegation was conditioned directly by the referee Paolo Valeri in the Carpi-Empoli match yesterday,” a statement from the President on Palermo’s official website read.
“There were three absurd incidents, which are documented in the frames attached to this Press release, confirming what we all saw on television yesterday.
“1) The sending-off of [Levan] Mchedlidze was non-existent and was blatant simulation by the Carpi player. We therefore ask the prosecutor to intervene with TV evidence against [Marco] Crimi, the player who simulated the blow to the face.
“2) Empoli’s disallowed goal. An absurd refereeing invention, as shown by the pictures enclosed in which the Empoli striker, [Manuel] Pucciarelli, doesn’t touch the Carpi defender before receiving the ball.
“3) PENALTY NOT GIVEN FOR SHIRT-PULLING AND SUCCESSIVE HAND-BALLS COMMITTED BY [Fabrizio] POLI ON PUCCIARELLI [sic].”
A fourth bullet point listed the post-match comments of several Empoli players complaining about the referee. All points were accompanied by screenshots of the incidents.
“We invite the prosecutor to monitor the next games and the protagonists in the relegation battle very carefully over the next games to avoid similar incidents.
“President Maurizio Zamparini is very concerned about these incidents which have been repeated since the beginning of the season [see penalties in our favour not given, and penalties against us which were clearly invented].
“The English League should be taken as an example. He invites the Prosecutor to gather information and take measures to ensure the proper functioning of competitions in the future.”
“I fear they want to send Palermo to Serie B, indeed that’s what they’re doing! I don’t know why, but that’s what’s going on.
“I hope Juventus want to celebrate their Scudetto with a win [against Carpi]. I’m scandalised by what happened against Empoli.
“I’m speaking very strongly because I want to be protected in this run-in. You continue to say the referees are in good faith? Go to Hell!
“We must get back to following the example of English football, there could never be a story like Leicester [City] in Italy.
“It’s not by chance that in our history the only surprises, with Cagliari and Verona [Scudetto winners in 1970 and 1985 respectively], was when there was a random draw [of referees].
“Our football is completely rotten and inefficient. And the system has to be changed.”
A #realconspiracy
Logitech Gaming Software is pretty great. Using it with my G933 wireless headphones and G400s mouse right now, but I'll probably replace the latter with the new G900 soon enough. I keep hearing / reading nothing but good things about it. I'd get a Logitech mechanical keyboard to complete my great peripherals revamp as well, but there's isn't one that's just how I want it. #problems
Wooden there's 0% chance we won't go for the win, don't worry ;)
and 0% chance we won't score at least 3 past them at home

I am gonna recommend Italian football to students as a culture of exemplary argumentative form – even if the arguments are bugfuck, the fastidiousness comes off them in waves.
Edit: ha, the coda gets a little emotional

Well it won't help much in the end. Zamparini is an old senile cunt, but he is certainly right about the referees in Italy. The amount of decisions that have gone against Palermo this season has been insane...and now they also start gifting opponents in the relegation battle points.

Not sure, I thought it was that they confirmed that he has recently signed a 2 year extension and therefore were not looking to bring in a new manager.
RI said he was seen with his representative visiting OT on a non-match day in the last month.

By Laboured Go To PostSome murmurs that we might also be talking to Blanc.Blanc is a good coach and his players love him. Won Ligue 1 and the League Cup with Bordeaux before going to France then PSG. You could do much worse than him, IMO.

Former Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov is in training with a view to coming out of retirement four years after being diagnosed with leukaemia.http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36142390
The Bulgarian, 36, wants to play professionally again and says the relegated club is his "priority".
Petrov played for Wychall Wanderers in the West Midlands Central League in 2014 having retired the previous year.
"I have decided to start trying to play football at a higher level again," said the former Celtic midfielder.
Whoa. Inspirational.

Ni-Oh is weird. To the point where the first 'bonfire' you see lets you essentially trade the weapon you've picked up (and the only one you have) for some useless item. And I did, which is proof that I am a dumbfuck.
So I was getting killed by minions by using my fists. Dudes kill you in 1 or 2 hits.
There's 3 stances for your weapon, or whatever. It's not bad.

I quite liked Blanc as a footballer but I don't rate him all that highly as a manager.
While PSG's players are equally (or even more so) to blame for their failings in the CL, the way that they have crashed out for the last three seasons have been embarrassing at best.
Not to mention that any decent coach would win domestic titles with that side.
In other words... Mourinho, please!
I don't think it's that bad of a comparison.

Well ligue 1 is a joke with all the money PSG have to spend so i can't judge him there.
In the UCL he cant even go to the semifinals with ilimited founds and an amazing squad.
He won a ligue 1 with bordeaux too, that's nice. But right now i really dont rate him highly.
So yeah i think he's pretty close to Wenger.
