For all that he's a mediocre manager, I do actually think Martinez would do better were he to remain at Everton next season. Main reason being that Stones and Barkley have reputations far outweighing their current ability (not to say that they won't become very good players in the future). The pair can raise 80+ million through sales whilst being easy to upgrade upon; Lukaku would obviously be a much bigger miss but I think if there's one thing that Martinez can do it's build a team that can score plenty of goals.

If he continues to prance around the way he has this 2nd half of the season at Everton next season then not many would be surprise to see them floundering around 13th - 16th.
I still think highly of Stones and Barkley as prospects. They need better mentors.
