Don't think it was intentional
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostThis Liverppol game is tearing my heart.
I dont want Liverpool to win but Klopp is a beautiful specimen of a human bean.
Newxastle has Rafa. :(
The game means nothing to us but a lot to Newcastle. Still, I want us to keep the momentum going into the Europa league game. We're getting hurt bad by injuries, we need confidence to carry us.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostThings like this make me realize how incredible football can be at times. The reception this guy had was just amazing. That's just fantastic. What a club.
This could be you at the Emirates, Giraudinho. #QueremosOPeleEmEmirates

Yeah this leaves plenty of time for the ref, to start giving reds left and right to the Rayo players.

Agreed, but sometimes outcomes of such play matter. Lovren seems fine, but he looked near death at first.

Commit one more player to attacks, and we can finish this early I think

sounds like a good day
Trying to ascertain if you are a great poster or the greatest poster. Greatest poster I think.
By Oddinho Go To PostThink this is a common misconception because he's not smiley all the time, but he's incredibly nice and comes across really well in interviews.
By Hitch Go To PostDon't really agreeI wasn't fair on him, to be honest - as I don't really know his situation.
But it seems to me like Klopp has had Firminho, Origi and even Benteke above him in the pecking order at times during the season and not only because of potential injuries.
At least that's how it comes across to me.

What the hell was that Newcastle? You have a corner and then just kick the ball around to the halfline?
By Laboured Go To PostFootball players are either really shit at doping or really good at it.
Bosnich tried to come at Fergie, Horse. Not a brain cell in him.
By Francis Go To PostI wasn't fair on him, to be honest - as I don't really know his situation.Don't think Benteke was ever above him. We persisted with Benteke because Sturridge was on his regime where he needed to complete like 3 weeks of training programmes without suffering even a slight setback.

And when he came back he looked well below speed, in terms of his pace and sharpness.
Been slowly regaining that though, and is now looking more like peak Sturridge, who for me is the third best striker in the league and near undroppable unless the game absolutely requires a hard pressing targetman, which Origi is much better at.

I'll give a gr8 hug on my boi Simeone
;_;
Gr8 goal by Lallana.
Oh my what a goal by Lallana! Liverpool horse owners, be sure to keep them off the streets from Newcastle fans.
Firmino started that one well.
Firmino started that one well.
Don't get why Newcastle are playing short corners when we're so poor at defending normal ones. Maybe they set piece delivery from standing balls is poor like ours
Lovely by Lallana, one more to kill it. Just don't do a Sunderland.

As a Liverpool fan it's been a really understandable progression of game time for Sturridge. He was injured for a really long time and couldn't get settled at all. He would play for 60 minutes and then be out again with an injury. Klopp, or whoever is managing Sturridge's fitness decided to wait until it was absolutely certain that he could play, and he was slowly let into the team. At first he was playing 15-20 minutes and not looking so hot but he very visibly became more comfortable over the last few weeks and is now back to being our best striker.
There were rumors going around that he didn't want to play for Liverpool, some even really silly shit about how God doesn't want him to play for us or some nonsense, probably because he definitely lets it be known how religious he is. Klopp also said publicly that he needs to know what is real pain, and that was largely misunderstood to be an indictment of his attitude, when he was referring to unfamiliarity with the physical feelings after having been injured for so long.
So I don't think there's really much to question about Sturridge's attitude. Though I admit I thought for a time that we may never see him at his best again, he's really proved the doubters wrong.
