100% Rosbergs fault. He tried to make a statement, but got fucked in the end. This moment could be pivotal for the championship. Nico will never be better than Lewis in wheel to wheel combat. (Or in Intermediate/slick tyre conditions)
That onboard is really suspect for Nico. Dude was like "ummmmm, Ima push you the fuck out cause Im on this tit for tat shit"
You can push a driver wide, you have the right for the that, but Rosberg just basically went straight on. Only a quarter steering angle into the corner. I hate that he's blaming Hamilton in his interview though.

When you are on the inside, you can determine the line you take to a corner and if the car on the outside isn't (to far) ahead, you can squeeze (defend) him out on the exit of the corner. But you can't just not turn in at all, then to me you are pushing someone of the track.
In my opinion, Rosberg tried to pay Lewis back for all the times hes been shoved outside. Montreal. Austin. Suzuka. Hungary. Lets see if Sir Jackie blames Lewis yet again for this collision, ole prick.
Nico has been penalised with a 10 second penalty but that doesnt matter anyway since he was 14 seconds ahead of Ricciardo.
By reilo Go To PostThat GIF of Nico doing that is wild. Never seen a teammate do that to one another.
Prost x Senna in Suzuka 1989 m9
Nico trying to say that wasnt his fault is banter, we may not be F1 drivers but we understand that you know.... you have to leave space for the other car.
Rosberg seems like someone who could have done with being battered once or twice when he was growing up.
tbh Hamilton would have done the same if he was in Nico's position. He did it a few times this season already (pushing his teammate wide). The problem is, Nico would avoid the crash, Hamilton wouldnt.
That's why he's 3 times world champion and Rosberg isnt.

Do you have gifs of when Hamilton done it?
Because there's one thing forcing you opponent wide, its another thing leaving them with no track what so ever

Hamilton did in Canada's start. Pushed him well wide when Nico was alongside him on the outside, Rosberg ran out of the track to avoid crashing.

Lewis would never do it if the other guy is ahead of him on the outside. He is smart enough to know that when the guy on the outside (in Austria Lewis) turns in, the guy on the inside has the most change to damage his car (Nico's frontwing). It is only in situation when you are ahead (or equal) on the inside you can do it, because if the guy on the outside turns in, he has the most change to damage his car.
The silly thing is, Nico no doubt understands this as well, but every time he gets in a close battle with Lewis his brain seems to stop working. Great example the Canada GP you were talking about, with Lewis on lap 1 he ends up on the grass and looses 5 places as a result. End of the race with Max, exact same situation entering turn 1 and Nico does lift and slots in behind Max his car, not on the grass and keeps his position.
Get the idea that everybody in the media talking Nico needs to show he can hold his own when in battle with Lewis, is completely counter productive for him (lost 8 points in Can and now 6 again).

The thing is, if you're alongside, your opponent have to give you room. Hamilton didnt in Canada and Nico didnt in Austria.
Hamilton got lucky that Nico's wing didnt hit his tire, cause if that happened he'd finish even behind him.
Nico had brake problems too. Imo, both cases are exactly the same, they both wanted to push their opponent wide. Nico seemed worse cause of his brake problems.
If the car on the outside is ahead, the guy on the inside cannot determine the line IMO, so lets disagree here Pele ;)
We already have a new weekend, this time in GB, Silverstone. Will Mercedes guys crash again, what will the British weather do and we get to see the Halo again.
And it is still ugly

That was a big one, good to see nothing serious happened to Ericson : https://streamable.com/vw8q
Mercedes pole Red Bull looks second row and poor Vettel (if that's another gearbox change (5 places penalty)

That moment when Mercedes turn to Q-mode :P
Quality lap from Lewis after 1st was taken away, Max beating Daniel for the first time and Hulk best (Williams not counting) of the rest.

Nice British rain shower before the start, looks like wet-weather tires, hopefully no Safetycar start.
By Spengo Go To PostProperly raining now.
Ze Germans with their own tents, must be frustrating to watch if you stand their in the rain :P
By Spengo Go To PostVES is closing this gap right up, but if Charlie gets involved it might not matter.I argued that Lewis should have been told in Baku, so I have no problem helping a guy whos car brakes down, but not sure if Charlie agrees.
And can they add a sprinkler head to turn one, amazing how a little patch of wet brings out the goodies
all SunhillLegend ;)
By markao Go To PostI argued that Lewis should have been told in Baku, so I have no problem helping a guy whos car brakes down, but not sure if Charlie agrees.I don't think this should ever deserve a penalty but based on how the drivers were denied information in Baku he surely has to get one.

By Spengo Go To PostI don't think this should ever deserve a penalty but based on how the drivers were denied information in Baku he surely has to get one. There are two messages:
1) when he stopped on track, I think that will be allowed.
2) When he was asking and being told to do with 7th gear (avoiding), that might get them in to trouble (driver help)
Still think it is ridiculous in situations like these or in Baku, coaching them corner by corner (ERS modes), no please.
Hungaroring in Budapest this weekend , Mercs fast as usual, Nico with a new 2 year contract
lots of talk about radio messages what's ok or not,
Oh and new kerbs & track limits sensors
And to top it off, sky just opened above Budapest, so Mercedes might not have it all for them selves

up to Q2, Q3 will be dry if they keep driving like this
don't know about Honda's, could well be
Lewis was 4 tenths up on Nico in sector 1, both Redd Bulls were as fast as him in sector 1, shame Alonso fucked this session up.

By Xele.gif Go To PostThink Rosberg will lose his lap cause of the yellow flag.Double yellow should be, "prepared to stop the car", but we will see. (would be second if lap not ok ?)

Yeah.
Anyone watching the race? This track is kinda boring tbh although Hamilton has been struggling on these softs
