By theignoramus Go To PostSpain has to be the time for Lewis to get in his bag. No more fuckery in the qualifying sessions, no more fuckery at the race starts, just throw down the gauntlet from the first practise session, to all three quali sessions, to the last lap of the race and let Rosberg know that he is not going to get a cakewalk to the WDC.Statistics does suggest a Rosberg championship debut. Now or never for Ham.
On another note, Im super curious to see how Verstappen does this weekend against Ricciardo. I expect Daniel to have the edge, purely because hes been situated in a position of comfort for the last three years, but I wanna know if Mad Max is capable of pushing Ricciardo in a way that Kvyat wasnt.
I think so too. Ricciardo knows the car which Max still need to learn. This Friday he will drive his first meters with this car. It would be a shame for Ricciardo if Max places his car in front of him. With his (RIC) experience I dont think it will happen. If it happens, Mad Max will be the talk of the day.
Also looking forward...... normally not the most exiting race track, but new tire rules and the Red Bull stuff, should be fun
He said he was lying on his sofa watching game of thrones when he got the call from Marko telling him he got dumped.
By Spengo Go To PostSo far VES is faster than RIC with mediums in FP3.Do believe Daniel will have something left for Qualifying, but so far good weekend for Max (start might be most demanding in new car)
Hope Mercedes does not turn up their engine to much, so we can have a decent fight with the Ferrari's in Q. & race.

This qualy is just too good. Red Bulls faster than Ferrari is interesting.

Superb by Lewis after that error in 1st lap, Daniel pulled one out and still Max might be bit disappointed (after Q1-2), but he really shouldn't.
Talks about delivering laps unders pressure.
I'm guessing the Ferrari reacts quite drastically to changes in track conditions.

Whew, that lap from Hamilton! Rosberg had the upper hand all weekend and HAM put all the pressure on himself for the second half of Q3 thanks to that massive lockup. But he delivered perfectly when it mattered most. Has Rosberg outqualified HAM once this season when Lewis actually has a working car underneath him?
Great final lap from Ricciardo. This Verstappen kid is feelin himself too much and lawd jesus, the hype would have been insane if he'd outqualified Daniel his first go around. It was necessary for Ricciardo to put Max in his place. (for now. Well see what happens tomorrow)
Man, the Ferraris look like shit.

Seemed like a racing incident to me. Lewis was always going to have a go, Nico was always going to cover the racing line.
By Wele.gif Go To PostHamilton's fault for me. Clear as water.I think Ham's closing speed caught Rosberg out, Lewis exit from T4 was much faster than Nicos. On the other hand, many drivers wouldnt have pushed the issue so much on lap 1.
By Spengo Go To PostLet's go Max, let's go. You can do this.5 more laps common Max
Damn RIC! Dive bombing Vettel

Sky analysis of lap 1 crash.
Rosberg's engine went into ERS harvesting mode in turn 3. That accounts for Hamilton's faster exit speed. Moment before the collision, Rosberg is selecting a different engine setting on his wheel, wasnt anticipating Lewis beside him.

Still quit can't believe kid did it. He needed others, Mercedes Race & Ferrari quali & team-mate strategy, to mess it up, but he drove a faultless race and deserved it in the end. Mercs crashing spices up the next few races, so it was a good weekend for F1 and already looking forward to Monte Carlo in two weeks time
and one more;)

Masterful last stint from Max, making those tires last well past their sell-by date.
He's shown us in previous races that he can attack, but this was a great defense... adjusting his style to go easier on the tires, and out-lasting Kimi, one of the best drivers on the grid for looking after tires... who just happened to be in a faster car.
Most impressive is how unflappable he seemed out there. Three cheers for Helmut Marko.
Still, I don't think I've laughed that loud in forever.

By theignoramus Go To Posthttps://streamable.com/ys32Neither of them could have seen that one coming. Those two ingredients together were always going to be a recipe for a freak accident, and that's exactly what came out the oven.

Am I only the one who thinks that Mercades are going to have to choose a driver at the end of the season, having both Hamilton and Roseberg is just causing more harm than good.
Nico to Ferrari, Nando to Mercedes. If Nico loses the title I could see that happening.

No way Nico is loosing the title, but this season is leaving a real sour taste in my mouth.
Ricciardo will get an upgraded PU:
Daniel Ricciardo will run Renault's upgraded engine in his Red Bull car at this weekend's Monaco GP, with Spanish GP-winning team-mate Max Verstappen staying with the older version.Source: http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12475/10293890/daniel-ricciardo-to-run-new-renault-engine-for-red-bull-in-monaco
Daniel Ricciardo just flipped the middle finger and called someone a cunt of a bloke on team radio. Apparently it was Kimi lol
Amazing how much drivers don't give a fuck about others around Monaco when it comes to getting track position :p
Even though cars are getting better and better it is still amazing watching on-boards from drivers around this track, races however ;)
Loved this "tunnel" shot at F1fanatic, some serious lens used as I doubt you have access in the tunnel during sessions.

Very close between the Ferrari, Mercs and Red bulls, quali should be interesting.
Pirelli's 2017 wider tyres for next year.

Feeling it's gonna be really close but VET will clinch pole (with HAM at front row)
Verstappen's got Monaco traumas.

By Spengo Go To PostMercedes played us again…Looking at Lewis his on-board on Sky, that was more driver than car, over-steer every were......amazing control
Ricciardo managed to top his time on SS tyres, very interesting.
By Spengo Go To Post1:13.6 for Ricciardo holy shitThose two tenths from new engine were just enough ;) Curious what weather (rain/dry) and the different race strategy (tires) for Daniel will do.
Red Bull: Rebirth
Lewis unlucky again with engine troubles (edit heard Nico also had some issues )and Hulk pulled one of the bag (Perez quicker entire weekend until it mattered)
Seems like the engine is treating Danny well.
Imagine tomorrow....rain (hopefully), with VES and HAM out of place and pissed. RIC and ROS up front dueling it out. If it all pans out, the race is going to be amazing.

But let's hope for a somewhat wet track with a few mild showers throughout the race and Daniel winning.
The 24 Hours of Nurburgring is on now.

Was looking for the GP2 race on my Tv and came across footage of the 24H. Apparently they are showing most of it live, nice surprise.
