Ridiculous. Charlie will need to attend the Thursday presser in Abu Dhabi once again to explain his appalling decisions once more.

They expected more rain, when first extra drops fell, they red flagged, but rain never ever got worse. They would have been racing if they stayed out behind the safetycar.
Now lets see how long they stay out this time around.
that was close :P

What a horrible decision by Red Bull. More rain was coming, we have known that for 2 hours now. And they put him on Inters. Pathetic decision that could cost their team a ton of points.
By markao Go To PostAnd p9 for Nasr, how much money is that one worth?Millions :p
Manor just lost a lot of money today.

Saw that video earlier, was fun to watch and they should do that more often............now they still are still "friends" ;)
And we reached the end of the line. Last GP and were are in VAE: --> Abu Dhabi
--> Yas Marina Circuit

Not much at stake, other than the two fighting it out for the championship. Lewis needs a win and Nico cannot finish in the top 3 (Or better, Lewis needs to outscore Lewis with 12/13 points). Cannot see that happening unless we get a messed up start or some mechanical error, so my money is on Nico for the WC win.
And I hope it does not get to exiting, want I have to miss the last race weekend as I'm stuck in a "Holiday Apartment" with my family. At least I can watch the first two practice sessions ;)
Just a chat with some of the drivers. Part of a) FOM's commitment to more accessible media and b) Coulthard's transition into F1 media ownership?
I really hope Rosberg isn't let down by a mechanical failure today, he doesn't deserve that. I know there are people who claim that he's only in the lead because of Hamilton's car packing in in Malaysia, but he's already had his car give up on him in the final race of the season when he had a chance of winning (and I know he needed Hamilton to have problems and finish down the field in 2014), so it would be very cruel if it happened again.
The most likely outcome for this race is an easy 1-2 for Mercedes. Things are only going to get really interesting if Rosberg beats Hamilton off the line, if Hamilton's start is so bad he loses multiple places, or if Rosberg drops behind two cars off the start himself.
Hamilton won't really have a chance to back Rosberg into the pack, and that would be risky for his own chances of winning the championship too, so it's really going to take a bad start from either of them to generate some drama. Rosberg certainly isn't going to take any risks.
I hope Jenson Button has a good drive today, if it is definitely his last race it's going to be a very low key occasion for him, so it would be nice to see him finish with at least some points today.

Hamilton made it interesting at the end but boring race otherwise.
Happy I didn't get a chance to watch more this season. Hopefully the field will be competitive at some point of me watching F1.

Yesterday finally had the chance to watch the race, did knew Nico won the championship, but did not expect a race like this. Cannot see anything wrong with Lewis his tactics, wasn't driving anyone of track (or other dangerous things) and do understand Mercedes position (they are there to win).
Nico deserved, silly thing to even discuss IMO, the championship. Better, through the year, Lewis had to many up and downs (his fault or not). The 2016 championship will, sadly for Nico not remembered by his 1st win, in 10 years time probably seen as the years Max showed (some of) his potential.
For now it is time for some winter sleep and hopefully when we wake up we will have a slightly more competitive line-up on the grid. I think Mercedes won all but 7/8 races in the last three seasons, so it shouldn't be to hard for that to happen. A season with RBR close, maybe a monster of a Ferrari power unit (cannot see them out smarting others on the new aero) and a Honda Rocket-ship, so Fernando (& Stoffel, curious if he can show his potential) can mix it up with the top end of the grid. Yeah I know not going to happen, but at least until the 1st test we can dream ;)
ps: on-boards are on-line (Vimeo)
and RBR is "fuelled" up for the coming years:
WTF!!!!! Nico stops with F1: Rosberg announces shock F1 retirement (autosport)
Hard to understand what he went through last few seasons and maybe he will never achieve anything like this year again, but to stop.....wow.
Leaves question, who will drive next to Lewis..........cannot see any free drivers fitting that shoe.....Button out of retirement?
"I want to take the opportunity to announce that I have decided to end my Formula 1 career in this moment here," said Rosberg.
"It's hard to explain, it has been ever since I started when I was six years old, I had a very clear dream and that was to become Formula 1 world champion.
"Now I've achieved that, I've put everything into it for 25 years of racing and with the help of everybody around me, with the help of fans and the help of my team and my family and friends I have managed to achieve that this year.
"So it has been an incredible experience for me that I will remember forever.
"At the same time, it has been very very tough also because the last two years losing to Lewis were extremely difficult moments for me, which fuelled my motivation in a way that I didn't even know was possible to fight back and to achieve my dream finally."

One thing is for sure... Toto has an almighty queue outside his office right about now.

I assume Wehrlein, or Bottas depending contract are logical choices, but do not rate Wehrlein enough to see him as nothing more than a temp 2nd driver fix.
