Which do you folks prefer? I've done League Pass once and enjoyed it but if I can avoid paying $200 I wouldn't mind it. Supposedly Ballstreams is quite good and can be used on your PS4/etc. Any of you experience it?
I've got LP and there is an xbox app. i think there's a PS app too?
I just watch on my PC though so...

Considering League Pass lets you watch anyone except your home team, I'd love to check out Ballstreams.

You need an invite but it should only take 24 hours or so from the website. I believe it's $60 for the season.

International league pass lets you watch everything 8-)

Ah, really? The message on their website seemed ambiguous as to when I'd hear back. But if it's a next-day thing, it's totally worth it for me. Getting every Raps game on local cable would cost me something ridiculous like $1100 a year for all the channels.
if you want to go full cheap skate i think you can take a vpn from a poor country and buy LP and then watch it without VPN. it worked last season.
You folks can use my referral link and it should get your invite sooner

I did this, AU price was ~$300, Ecuador was $160.

 sorry. There's a great thread on ozbargain about it
Is the site even legit?
They're based in the Netherlands. They've been doing the NHL and NBA for a few years.
Ah. So they don't have blessing of NBA, is there no chance it'll get shut down?
Nope. Not going to happen. They're based out of the Netherlands for a reason =P
Tempted to shell out for LP, but it seems a lot of Clips games are televised and I don't have cable...
Wat do...
Wat do...
I'd be interested if I could hear some positive feedback.
They have a day pass for $7 I believe. If you want to try it out.
I already purchased LP, but if it's as bad as some people say it is, I'll have to consider ballstreams for next season. I was nervous that it would get shut down or something.
My issue with Ballstreams is that they don't cut out TV ads from their archives materials. It's basically a high-res FrontRow with games on-demand. Also it 99$ USD compared to $169 CAD for LP which is great.
So I got this ballstreams thing and it isn't working. Donated for 3 months because I thought why not ? Says it works with android devices , but nothing works. Everything is giving me an error. Wtf

Cool. Works for you, but nothing works for me that's awesome and helpful
Edit
Now everything is working for some reason. Whatever not gonna complain.

If you run into issues, check out the Ballstreams subreddit. The website seems to offer fixes to common problems.
Signed up for a month of Ballstreams and my initial impressions are: wow.
Excellent so far. As long as it works with Airplay from my iPhone to my Apple TV, I'm definitely signing up for the whole season.
Gotta watch that push for the 8 seed! :|

Hmmm, that makes it tempting. I might give this a go.Does Ballstreams work on an iPad?The site says it's compatible.
I tried streaming the Thunder-Dubs replay on my work PC earlier this morning and it worked great (and my work computer is a POS).Hmmm, that makes it tempting. I might give this a go.Does Ballstreams work on an iPad?The site says it's compatible.
They seem to have their shit together. I'll report back after I try it tonight.
Ballstreams is fucking incredible
I've been using it this whole season now and its basically perfect. Get it. Now.

Been using Ballstreams for the past week. It's been great, no blackouts is reason enough to jump in.
I can third or fourth the Ballstreams recommendation.
Hopefully Silver realizes there's demand out there for a product like this.

How is the product different from league pass
Better quality (significantly)
No stuttering
Home, away, national (ESPN/TNT/etc) options for most games
Low and High quality options
Multiple player options
No blackouts
Access to Playoff games
Instant archiving
Better skipping / DVR support
Keeps the half/pre/post game stuff if you want to see it (see: TNT)
International and College ball, too
Chat for live games! (think: twitch)
Incredibly cheap.
It's a looooooot better. No Silverlight bullshit.
It's the holy grail, dude. I'd really prefer to give the NBA my money on this (it's their product, after all), but LP is so much worse in comparison that I'm left with no option.

You don't get all of this on US League Pass? Maybe now I understand why Ballstreams is popular. My league pass is flash based too.

The only thing I wish International League Pass had. They have clips of some of the TNT stuff but it's uploaded more than a day later.
Gonna try this on my PS4 soon. Didn't realize that was an option.
Definitely preferable to airplaying it from my iPhone to my Apple TV. Gotta tweet/text/post on SLAENT while games are on. :geek:

I think the NBA have their hands tied with the current Media deal and can't really change what they broadcast (i.e. half time shows) until the new media deal kicks in.
The new media deal should have been done with the idea of LP in mind. So it'll be interesting to see what changes.

I requested an invite two days ago and still haven't got an email. :(Really? Mine came right away.
On a negative note however, my home wifi doesn't appear to be fast enough to handle Ballstreams on my PS4, and the iPhone is unreliable at best.
Need to figure out a way to hardwire my PS4 directly into the web, and I have no idea how to do it.
As long as LP has blackouts then Ballstreams will be superior.
got mine almost immediately too, might wanna retry that.

I signed up for a month of Ballstreams earlier and it works pretty well so far. The mobile site/app are a little wonky, but the desktop site works flawlessly.
Choosing between home and away broadcast is a nice touch.

What's the compatibility for Ballstreams?
Can it be used with Chromecast (either as a native app in Android with Cast support, or with embedded Cast support in the video window)? I'm doing the no-cable thing now, and I'm loath to fork over $100+ to watch the Knicks lose.

Anyway, everybody is right, it's a great service. Video quality is excellent.
My only disappointment with Ballstreams is that I have to plug my Macbook Pro into my TV with a mini displayport to HDMI adapter and watch that way. It's a bit inconvenient, but the quality is great.
Doesn't work very well on my iPhone.
