Durant is not going to be MVP if he's going to miss as many games as he will. Unless you think he will only miss like 10 games or have the greatest 55 games ever by a mile...
I think the storyline will be good enough for him to get it if he can get 55 games in. If he can come in and put up stats like he did last year then he's going to come off as the messiah. I think LeBrons influence will be more defensive and less obvious than it was with the Heat due to the amount of scoring options around him. With that in mind, maybe you default to Blake Griffin, but the vote there maybe gets split between him and Paul. Anthony Davis maybe, but I think the Pelicans need another year to cook.

Idk i can easily see the Rockets not making the playoffs. That 6-8 seed in the west is usually extremely tight and they havent done shit but give Ariza money.
Some other predictions
-Blake is gonna take another leap this year. His numbers will look even better than Amare's best stretch he had on the Knicks when he was putting up MVP stats.
-Phoenix will be the most fun team to watch this year.
-Russel Westbrook will score 50 points
-Noah and Pau will have plantar fasciitis at the same time
-Knux will have an existential crisis
- Wade will be the best guard in the eastern conference
-Andre Drummond will be ridiculous
-MVP- Lebron(avgerages 26/8/8 on 60% FG)

Honestly don't know. Cavs can easily win it all. Don't believe Spurs can make 3 straight Finals. Clips too weak at SF to win it all. Warriors could surprise people because I like Kerr. Grizz may be scary. Rockets may be 7/8 but I can see them missing out. Pelicans chosen for fun. Suns will be about same, Blazers worse. Mavs could also move up since injuries will play a part...worried about their D but I like their team minus Monta. Chicago will push for their best seed. Wiz have lots of hopes, feeling like they might disappoint. Thunder winning it all cuz YNOT!?

Has no bearing on a Top 4 seed because division winners get automatically slotted into Top 4, which means 3 of the Top 4 seeds will be accounted for. Since they play in the toughest division, Houston would need to have a better record than two of the three: Spurs, Mavs, and/or Grizzlies. If their record is worse than two of them, there's no way they make a Top 4 seed.Rockets 3rd seed, so much LOL
Now that the Thunder might be out of the playoffs..

Pop knows the importance of HCA throughout the playoffs and they won't be coasting. Mavs are better than Houston this year. I think H-town is going to be aiight, they had a cupcake schedule, but they beat the teams they are suppose to early on..
Dallas got a lot better defensively this summer by adding Chandler and Chandler. Houston was an average defensive team last season and not sure if they did anything to improve on that front. Harden is still a terrible defender.

Parson's D is average at best... Ariza is REALLY good on D....You can also hide Harden a bit better because Ariza can cover the 2 or 3.

I can't believe I didn't see literally the entire team getting injured after Durant had stayed healthy for his whole career up to this point :(

Rockets 3rd seed, so much LOL
Now that the Thunder might be out of the playoffs..
Yeah, thunder might be out but Rockets won't be 3rd. I know they're 5-0 but they've probably played 4 of the 7 or 8 worst teams in the NBA so far. Philly started what, 3-1 last season? Obvious they aren't Philly, but let's not get excited about a hot start. It happens a lot.
Early season stats are always hilarious to look back on. Last year, the Spurs offense was like bottom 7 after 5 or so games. They couldn't do shit. Things even out over the course of an entire season.
Though with the Thunder fucked by injuries, it changes the West a lot. Everyone knows their predictions are based on a team, especially when young, being healthy. No one would put the Thunder top 4 if they knew KD and YNB would miss 2 months at the same time. I think they have no shot at the title, anymore, tbh.

Home Court Advantage.
Replacing Samuel Dalembert with Tyson Chandler doesn't improve someone's defense ten-fold now?
No.
Tyson is a better defender than Dalembert but let's not pretend like Dalembert is Andrea Bargnani bad
He might not be that bad defensively. But the fact that he insists on taking shots. Shots he doesn't make at a high percentage. Or good percentage. Makes him similarly valuable. i.e. ship his ass out.Replacing Samuel Dalembert with Tyson Chandler doesn't improve someone's defense ten-fold now?

And has ZERO to do with making Allas a better defensive team.
Now if we are talking about better basketball play all around then yeah you have a point. But defensively Dalembert is an average to plus defender of the paint... And an slightly above average rebounder.
Tyson is a plus defender to an all-star defender these days and a good rebounder.
I don't see how swapping the two equates to creating a super D team...
Does adding Tyson and taking away Dalembert make the team better? Without a doubt, no one has debated that at all..
Thanks for the bump because this thread has so much "LULZ" in it.
