Facebook is planning to change its company name next week to reflect its focus on building the metaverse, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter.what
The coming name change, which CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to talk about at the company’s annual Connect conference on October 28th, but could unveil sooner, is meant to signal the tech giant’s ambition to be known for more than social media and all the ills that entail. The rebrand would likely position the blue Facebook app as one of many products under a parent company overseeing groups like Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and more. A spokesperson for Facebook declined to comment for this story.
they're alphabetting?
makes a lot of sense to me.
can't have your company and one of the products have the same name.
and i say this because i had trouble explaining to my mum that she does use facebook services even though she doesn't use facebook.

I've never pre-ordered a phone before but worried about these chip shortages and the pixel pro being sold out.
I don’t care about Android anymore but the Pixel 6 looks nice, I like the design and the price is pretty good relative to what else is out there in the same range.
Was just taking a look at the new Pixels, seems you get a free set of Bose 700s if you pre-order, which is a great deal.
Reasons why I won’t go back to Android anytime soon. Unfortunately I don’t see this changing in the foreseeable future for Android, which sucks because iOS15 is still supported on iPhone 6S. I wish older Android devices had long term support.

That has nothing to do with what you said. Security is kind of a big deal on a phone lol

smokey hating on us poor third worlders is sad to see.
They’ll still provide security updates for up to five years. Feature updates are still important, in my opinion. There’s a reason why I’d always need to upgrade my Android phone after every 2-3 years and don’t have to do the same with my iPhones, the software experience goes way down and they do nothing to address it.
That’s a bigger issue though with using Qualcomm, it’ll get better as Google starts using their own SoC.

Still rocking a Samsung S9 halfway deciding to give up and get an iPhone at this point. Then again the $600 Pixel seems good enough for me.
Idk what’s going on but all my Apple products are annoying the shit out of me
My AirPods don’t even connect sometimes, I’ll have both in my air and then still get a notification that I left one behind and then it just stops working. I have to manually choose to play audio through it about 30% of the time. My Apple TV has input delay. Phone moving slow since I upgraded to 15

Apple has also proven that they can get better performance on older phones with new iOS updates, which is doubtful you ever seen on Android.

5 years of Security.
I change my phone every 2 years. And if I don't trade the phone in, I use it as a local media/backup device.
Time to upgrade lads. Upgrading my iPhone 8 to the 13 Pro. Considering upgrading my 2017 MacBook Pro to the new 14 inch.

Solid upgrades for sure m6
If you need to update your laptop, I’d say go for it, but if you can wait a year, I think it’s always worth it. Every redesigned body has always come with something that needs to be ironed out in a new revision.
My Pixel 6 currently scheduled to be here next week. Excited for this one because I've been on a Pixel 4. Death to face unlock.
I'm not really feeling the need, but I'm about due for a new phone and I kind of want that gimmicky flip phone I keep seeing with the kpop man
I've been amazed on how well Microsoft's My Phone Companion works on Android. Answering and making calls from cell phone through my PC has been so good as I get a lot of calls from both my cell and from Teams at work.
