laptop has been randomly shutting down. kernel 41 in the event viewer. no viruses or anything so I guess it's just dying. might just buy a macbook or something whenever it completely craps out if have the scratch

Copy the log and paste it here so that we can troubleshoot. Also there may be an error that happened before that if there is give us that as well. Use the snipping tool to screenshot if anything.

It's the third random shut down, all with the same errors in the event viewer(no warnings or errors in the log before the critical shutdown)

all the drivers are up to date. Clean virus scan. latest available windows 10.

Well kernel 41 just means it shutdown unexpectantly so there is another issue causing that. Going by your log there are a ton possibilities. Was there a recent update or has everything been the same?

Windows Update would be the only thing.

What are those warnings before the critical error. The Kernel PnP warnings. Show us the the Event ID 219 and Event ID 172. snip what it says happens. When I say select it click it and show us show us the information.

If you make it through the endurance test of being put on hold for 45+ minutes, some are just desperate to get you off the phone

Last November Spectrum added voice service to my bill without permission. I said I would pay whatever the price for Internet only even if it was more expensive than the bundle. They passed me around to 4 people who pretended they didn't know why voice was on my bill if I didn't request it until eventually someone gave me the internet-only promo rate for another year. I confirmed it on the paper bill over the next few months.

Not sure that will happen this November but if someone tries to make me secretly pay for the bundle and think I'm not going to waste most of my day politely staying the hell on hold I've got news for them. I know it's not on any of these employees having to carry out the shittiest policies of the world's most terrible companies running under the world's loosest regulation, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be the among the thousands of schmucks who pay for double what they use because they never check the bill

This doesn’t really do anything different, but it does remind me of a simpler time when Instagram wasn’t cluttered with garbage to target ads towards you. I deleted Instagram, but I miss when people would actually post photos and it wasn’t about stories — and when the UI was actually clean and not a cluttered mess.
