Is that a euphemism for penis? Because if it is I do not want to know where Edward is at
Okay that's enough of a Pac-7.5 impression for today.

new iMac's announced. very much worthwhile for people who just need a desktop computer to do normal computer things: https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2024/10/apple-introduces-new-imac-supercharged-by-m4-and-apple-intelligence/
By diehard Go To Post8GB gone finallyyup. they are standard with 16gb of ram now, which is a big reason of why i can recommend them. the m1's were still 8gb and, yeah, can't really recommend that.
the 256gb of storage is rather low. would have preferred that to be 512gb. then it would really be perfect for anyone that doesn't need something that is actually beefy.
lol @ the refreshed magic mouse still having the charging port on the bottom of the mouse so you can't use it while its charging

Honestly all I ever want is a 27" 4k OLED 144hz monitor that looks like that iMac for under $500. Stunning. And an impossible dream.
Mac mini announced. Super tiny, supports multiple monitors, $600 and 16GB ram and 256gb storage base. Another actually decent deal for the hardware.
I want one don’t need one want one

yay, even the new MBA now have 16GB RAM as standard. seems like that change has been made across the board and hasn't resulted in increased prices.
A feature I enjoy about KDE is it being able to tell me which application is preventing my screen from turning off or my computer from going to sleep. It even provides me an option to prevent that application from blocking these power saving features being activated.
Looking at you Steam!

the google search engine as a tool to effectively find useful content is basically dead. the final nail happened about a year ago and google has no plans to really revert those changes: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-search-ranking-update-coming-38323.html
MKHB uploaded some video footage of himself driving 96mph on a 35mph road (that also had some school zone signs). moron
155kmh in a 56kmh zone
that's 1 year jail (served outside for low risk people but you have to pay up to $3k a day) and 2 years (minimum) driving suspension here.
fuck him.

If, like me, you're slowly but surely moving from X to BSky, there's this browser add-on called Sky Bridge Follower that goes through your twitter follower list and attempts to find the same accounts on bluesky.
It still took me like 30 minutes to through my list and you have to double check, because not all matches are going to be correct, but it's much better than doing it by hand, one by one.

So since Bluesky is open source, does that mean eventually someone will be able to make an extension that allows you to view user likes? Grey Sky is a Bluesky client that lets you do just that but it is only available as a mobile app.
That depends on what google’s manifest v3 and Firefox’s extension equivalent extensions to do. I am not sure if they can make requests on behalf of a logged in user.
This google manifest V3 shit seems like a real pain in the ass to my existing extensions. What about Mozilla? Would devs have an easier time implementing something like that there?
