Bosh is a bad OFFENSIVE rebounder.
He's not a bad rebounder overall though.
It's funny because if you look at Love vs Bosh or even Dirk the idea that they are playing the stretch 4 role seems like it would limit their O rebounding chances. But Love smashes all of that thinking…
btw I would like to say I was SOOOOO wrong about Love on draft day… I still own up to this.. and Mayo as well.. I was way off..
Love is a rebounding anomaly though. That's like trying to get your PF to be as offensively complete as Dirk. Or saying that centering your defense around a 38 year old PF is a great idea just because TD can do it.
JR being JR I see. Passes up a wide open shot to dribble into a defender who strips him and scores the tying bucket with a minute thirty to go.

JR Smith
that 3 point defense
JR waves Anthony off when he was setup to run the triangle in the post breaking the offense, then leaves a wide open 3 point shooter open.
I swear Jackson is going to murder this guy.

I don't fully disagree with that, but I think it shows that stretch 4s are not crashing the boards as hard on O.. Not everyone can be Kevin Love but it seems that they have already given up on o rebounds when in that role..
Good Lord why did they not foul? The defense broke immediately when for some reason Early went to double team Wall lol.
Please 41 wins Knicks. Just give me 41, barring injuries/coaching philosophy I just can't see how they don't get to .500.

clutch shot by melo.
someone replay that for vag so he knows what clutch actually is.
a) Melo's clutch, never said any different.
b) it's a preseason game, fool
c) Kobe made 3 clutch baskets last night if we're doing the whole pre-season game schtick.

He was the right pick.. I was quite high on him. I think wing span is such an overrated measurement.
Only his coach can hold him back from being a solid to special PF..
Portland needs a bench so bad.
Been calling him Julius Caesar, catch up. He has a good attitude, seems to really want to make an impact, just needs to be refined a bit and have some other talent around him.

JR and Amare look like shit in the triangle. They both don't know what passing entails. Melo for the most part is a willing passer.
I am actually shocked this year from the draft and the moves the wolves made this year… they were competent!Flip has actually been a pretty good GM thus far. You can actually see some kind of vision there which has been absent for some time.
Last summer he saw that the Wolves were going all in on Love for a year, needed wings and picked up Brewer and Kevin Martin. Both are quality NBA players, starters, even, as much as a I despise Kevin Martin's defense. He also drafted Dieng, a total steal in the 20s. It's not his fault that Rick Adelman was completely checked out and that team underachieved.
And this summer was retooling the team on the fly around Rubio. It's not Kevin McHale falling in love with tournament runs, it's not David Kahn obsessing over things that don't matter like vertical leap. Kind of refreshing.
Flip didn't even want Shabazz and Dieng and they both look like they could contribute right now.

My guess is a lot of that has to do with the way the offense is designed to work.
Guys like Dirk are supposed to stay on the perimeter when the ball is on the opposite side in order to maximize open space in the lane for cutters and drivers. Love, on the other hand, is a pick 'n pop 4 but he also operates down low a bunch so when the ball is on the opposite side, he tries to operate in there more. It might also be a byproduct of weak PG shooting so him being on the perimeter doesn't do much because no one is pressing up on Rubio for fear of a 3.
We'll see if Love operates more on the perimeter than ever before, just like Bosh did when he teamed with Lebron and Wade(probably not to the same extent). It should be noted that as Love has shot more 3s, his OReb% has dropped.
I wasn't very high on the Randle pick but I've liked what I see so far. His jumpshot doesn't look half bad and he seems to have some of Odom's game in him.
on another note does Otto porter have a chance to cut into Pierce's minutes?Pierce should only be playing 20-25 minutes a game to keep him fresh. Porter can easily get 20-25 himself with no Beal around.

besides how much more Boozer would it be for him NOT to get hurt when it might help his team lol
im ready for regular season brehs
can't watch pre-season games anymore, so many guys not giving any fucks
But in the regular season, I'll never get to see Shabazz play 33 minutes.
I mean, unless some real bad shit happens.
I don't want to think about this anymore.

Lakers president Jeanie Buss has a message for any player who doesn't want to play with the team's star Kobe Bryant: Good riddance.
"Any free agent that would be afraid to play with Kobe Bryant is probably a loser, and I'm glad they wouldn't come to the team," Buss said during a SportsCenter interview Thursday.
"I read the story," Buss said Thursday. "I don't agree with any of it. If there is somebody that's on our payroll who is saying things like that, I'll soon get to the bottom of it and they won't be working for us anymore."

confirmation bias is a bitch.
The story is two fold re: the sources. A) agents with FA's and B) Lakers inside source.
No one disputes the first part. People dispute the second / and or think it's some scrub low level analytics guy that's one of Abbott's friends because Abbott has never been a journalist or established relationships with anyone that's relevant inside the organization.
The jist of the article is that the LAKERS as an organization think Kobe's ruining them and they're straddled with him. No one would care if the ball boy thinks this, they care if the organization as a whole thinks this. If anything, Jeannie just disproved that narrative, not proved it. Secondly, the story is filled with quotes taken out of context (ex: the sessions one, the PG one) and idiotic conclusions like the main reason Lebron or Melo didn't come to LA is because of Kobe and this roster WITHOUT Kobe would have had a shot at him or Melo. Those components have already been torn to shreds by objective thinking people.
So there's one believable part in that whole story. There are agents who have some FA's who didn't want to play with Kobe. That's the jist of her rebuttal, but if you know how agents try to spin media narratives, it could be michael beasley's agent who's pissed he didn't get an invite to the roster after the workout, or some dumb shit like that.
But like I said, confirmation bias is a bitch.
The important thing is he is killing the Lakers.
Whether the Lakers know it or not doesn't matter.
CP3 trade gets nixed - Kobe's fault.
Nash breaks his leg and never recovers 2 games in - Kobe's fault
Bynum's knees deteriorate to nothing - Kobe's fault
Odom has to be traded because he's hurt over the CP3 trade - Kobe's fault
Team has no draft picks for the next few years trying to get Nash - Kobe's fault
Team hires 3 bad coaches - Kobe's fault
Jesus, Lebron, and Melo won't sign with the Lakers despite having much better offers elsewhere - Kobe's fault.
Kobe is destroying team from within - it's so "obviously true"
Repetitive but obligatory.
By that logic Stockton in his later years killed the Jazz. They were irrelevant. Malone didn't want to re-sign there. No big FA's came to Utah.
Stockton caused 15 years of irrelevancy confirmed.

How was the entire story proven true? Come on Reilo, you're grasping at straws.
Numerous reporters have already said Abbott is flat out wrong, naming their actual source! Even Paul George did.
I bet Phil Jackson is the anonymous source.
Would be interesting considering Phil RT'd Flea calling Abbott's article "absolute garbage"
Oh, and I bet it would do wonders for his relationship to Jeanie if she found out.
It's probably Kupchak.
lol not a fucking chance. He is too classy and loyal for that.
If there is a source, it's some low level employee with an axe to grind.
Regardless, some of the stuff is known bullshit so the source is obviously not a good one or intentionally lying.
What's sad is how much some want to believe it is true just because of the hate for the Lakers. Yes, they suck and yes Kobe is an asshole. That doesn't make the story written true. When other reporters are calling out Abbott's lies, maybe you shouldn't be quick to defend someone who in the past has been accused of fake quoting.
Jeanie backing up Kobe is exactly what you'd want after giving him a legacy deal.
I mean, once ink is on paper and you know the deal gotta ride or die. Much better than giving Abbot any props, we all know LA is doomed for two seasons at least, gotta show you have your franchise players' backs.

I was obviously joking. to make it clear I blamed Malone leaving to LA on Stockton, even though Stockton wasn't around when Malone left, he was around the season before. That makes it perfectly clear Malone stayed around FOR Stockton, not left because of him. And DieHard still took the bait.
