By blackace Go To PostLen had a crazy game tho…Got mugged a few times down the tail end too.
I liked it though. He stayed aggressive, kept it physical, presented well in the post, and kept it high when he was around the rim.
By Kabro Go To PostBooker and knight are gonna eat against the lakers.Booker looked exhausted against the dubs.
Probably give him the game off.
No need to push knight too hard after an injury too.
Should probably rest both really.
Phil Jax says Knicks don't need an elite point-guard because triangle:
lol
Jackson pointed to the success that the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers had running the triangle; neither franchise relied on a ball-dominant point guard during his tenures as coach.
"We went to a two-guard format, and I think we were successful at it," he said. "I think we caught a lot of people in the league by surprise because of the way we played. So it works, and we know it works."
Jackson noted that the Knicks will try to develop their guards from within. He mentioned Tony Wroten, whom they expect to sign in the coming days, as one player who could add depth at the position.
"Well, I'm in L.A. right now [and] I'm enjoying it," Jackson said with a smile.http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14952648/phil-jackson-discusses-new-york-knicks-point-guard-situation-other-topics

By reilo Go To PostPhil Jax says Knicks don't need an elite point-guard because triangle:You don't need an elite center since the Bulls proved it, you don't need an elite forward since the Lakers proved it, you don't need anything basically, except for a Jordan-type. Exciting how much you can do with nothing because the system is so good.
Winning the SEC tournament was LSU's last-gasp chance to salvage a disappointing season and help Ben Simmons avoid the infamy of failing to take his team to the NCAA tournament. The last No. 1 pick to play in college but never reach an NCAA tournament was Minnesota's Mychal Thompson way back in 1978.

I know people say that Simmons is on a bad team with a terrible coach, but c'mon. It ain't that hard to carry a team to an at-large berth. No one's saying they should have been a powerhouse 1 seed, but he couldn't drag them to a 12 seed?
It's a red flag to me.
It's a red flag to me.
Those late 70's Gophers teams were banned from post-season play. So it's not quite the same as Simmons not being able to scrape out like 20 wins at LSU.
It would be a few years ago buy dude went to LSU for a reason. A whole year of notmyfault stats and a stock that can't drop. His shortcomings would fall on that team, not the other way around. Going to skruggle D1 schools that are barely above mid-major level is going to be how kids protect their value since overseas hoops isn't safe.
I would still think there's something to the exposure of going to a big program, though. It definitely helps to be on TV all the time. Jamal Murray wasn't on the radar until recently and now that dude is probably a top-6 pick.
If you can make a college superteam, then you should always do that. Better for marketing and very little downside unless you go full Poythress.
I'd be shook if I had the #1 overall though. A lot of Bens tape is honestly embarrassing. The equivalent of watching Jahlil in high school posting up 6'3 bigs.
You'd be picking Simmons on pretty much rep because Ingram has put enough on tape to get that #1 spot, but nobody wants to be the one to go against the consensus and end up wrong.

Ingram's got even more going against him. Its not like he had zero talent and a hack coach like Simmons. And if you want to talk D? Both are jokes.
I mean... I never liked Simmons all that much either, but you gotta out think yourself to go somewhere else #1

Knicks coach Kurt Rambis doesn't want to be judged by his awful win-loss recordNew favorite headline right here.
I'm not clowning the Knicks. I still hate Kurt Rambis.
Simmons is the type of guy where you're going to know immediately whether his skills will transfer the second after he tries to finish through contact on an NBA big.
If he bounces off its over if he doesn't then he'll be good

almost all of his points are just guys completely melting when he puts a shoulder into them on a drive as he just lays the ball in right at the rim
minus that I don't know if he could create a half court shot if he tried. if it still works at the next level then cool, but his passing won't come into play much if he can't bring help defense by being able to finish consistently at the rim

Jury's out in Simmons mentally IMO. Seems bitchmade. Bogut on Simmons pod said he didn't want to play for the Aussie national team this summer because they didn't give him a spot when he was 15. Fuck outta here.
man just end basketball season already. fucking mavericks.
I legit hope we just lose another 6 games in a row or some shit so I can stop caring about basketball till next year.

Lebron's pretty much permanently done as the best in the league. He's been teetering for a little while now.
09-10 it was him and Kobe
11 - it was him but that Dallas series put some ?'s
12-13 he had it for sure
14 probably still him but Durant was more dominant
15-16 Steph's emergence.
I just don't see how this Cleveland team with its salary obligations, his decline, and love's collapse has a shot anymore.
