By romrei Go To PostKnicks trap game congratulations syphon am Knicks age Knicks won i am out but blackace…What you need?
The Thunder franchise melting in real time is giving me life. The tears of their fans fill up my lake, b.
That is all.
That is all.
Is there a good site to compare the strength of the remaining schedules? Best I could find for the eastern conference was this thing

perfect, that pretty much is what i need to troll raps/celts fans with them possibly losing their second/third seed to the heat lol
David Locke @Lockedonsports5th best offense... MEM...
Since the all star break the Grizzlies have the 5th best offense and the 20th ranked defense
WHAT DIMENSION IS THIS
By blackace Go To PostSo what happened to all rofl the west talk from the first 30 games of the season?theres no way anyone was serious with that
when you got one team threatening to break the win record and another thats close to getting 70 themselves of course everyone else's record is gonna look like shit.
By Kibner Go To PostThey are set to have 21m I'm cap space if they don't resign Gordon or Anderson. Evans and Jrue expire next year. Asik can be cut without penalty the year after that.Thats genuinely better than I remember. I coulda sworn they traded their picks. Maybe that was the last few years?
They have rights to all their future first round picks but do not own anyone else's. They owe some second rounders but are owed more than that so that averages out to the team having more than one per draft for the next few years.
Yeah, they haven't had a first round pick since 2012 (or kept the pick anyway)
2013 (Noel) and their 2014 1st for Jrue
2015 first for Asik
21M isn't bad. But it's what a lot of teams have. They'll have to be smart to get the most out of that much space.
I really would love for them to get it going. And get healthy. Because I think watching a healthy AD with a good team around him where he can just Beast will be really REALLY fun to watch.

By romrei Go To PostSomeone out The remain warriors game maybe they Will not loose morethey haven't dropped a game against a very good team so you never know but looking at their schedule, there's no fucking way they're not going to smash 72 wins. unless SAS somehow goes super saiyan and beats them 3 times but considering that they have locked up the 2 seed and not a real chance for 1, they'll coast.
i mean
vs LAL
vs Orland
vs Utah
vs Portland
vs Suns
vs Pellies
if they win out, they would be 3 games ahead of the Bulls and those are some of the worst teams in the league and Portland.
next would be
vs Knicks
@ Dallas
the rest is 3 times SAS, 1 Clips, 1 Boston, 2 MEM + some garbage.
By giririsss Go To PostPeople were serious. Its still serious. Parity is clearly swinging towards the East. If Portland and Utah didn't validate the Western standings with surprise seasons there wouldn't be anything to talk about in the West other than the obvious contenders and a bunch of windows slamming shut for the foreseeable future.
But then the rest of the season happened.
im not a believer of the east. yeah there's finally not 14 teams under .500 but none of them even look all that good which is why everyone is hovering around .500
Ben Simmons be mine ;_;...been watch his highlights for the past hour. I am just torturing myself...
Nobody will convince me that Chicago and the Wizards at .500 in the east are as good as a .500 team in the West (or even better than Utah). Let's not forget that the Knicks were a .500 club at one point, too.

But progress is progress and the West's perennial teams took massive steps back. Even their up and coming teams look more like failed projects - and compared against teams in the East at or near the same level of long term development... you gotta take the East.
By reilo Go To PostThis is Utah's problem right now:They've been playing without a PG for so long that they might not know how to act when they finally get one.
By giririsss Go To PostThats genuinely better than I remember. I coulda sworn they traded their picks. Maybe that was the last few years? For all the well-deserved flack Demps gets, he made sure that there was a reset button if his initial try didn't work out.

By DY_nasty Go To Post21 mil ain't shit anymoreNot saying it is. But the bad contracts are both cheap and short and no future picks are missing. If a new GM comes in, he doesn't have to undo a disaster, but he would have to start from scratch.
Hornets started from scratch, man. Its WAY different when you have a cornerstone type player already in place. Changes everything.
By DY_nasty Go To PostHornets started from scratch, man. Its WAY different when you have a cornerstone type player already in place. Changes everything.Right. Which is why I'm not sweating right now. My feelings may very well change three years from now. But, today? I'm cool.
By Kibner Go To PostRight. Which is why I'm not sweating right now. My feelings may very well change three years from now. But, today? I'm cool. That's a bad thing. Because you'll always evaluate assets to match the player, not necessarily for adequate value. And you're racing against time - the deadline for the player and expectations from media. You don't get the luxury of having free bad years to eat bad contracts for picks to gain assets. The picks that you do get are right in the window where everyone is trying to move their pick, again, with different asset values, you can't take advantage.
Its messy as fuck. And two years out from the guys re-up, you've got to make the decision to sell high or pray on the river.
Its very different than just cashing out over and over until you get something that sticks.
Which is why I expect the team switching to a model similar to what HOU did before they got Harden/Dwight. Get mid-teens picks, team friendly contracts for guys that can develop into some value, and use that in packages to teams wanting to start over.
It's low percentage, but it is something I am ok with since it should result in some playoff appearances while still giving hope to be better.
I never expected championship and I likely never will. It takes crazy high amounts of luck to do that in the NBA and I'm not counting on that happening.

And if it doesn't work and he leaves like CP3? *shrug* I will always have the memories.
I am a hardcore fan in that I follow the team far more than just about anyone else. I'm just not heavily emotionally invested in the team's on-court success. I enjoy watching a local team that I can root for. They don't need to win, but it is more enjoyable if they do.
The only thing that would cause me to be upset (barring some scandal) is if the team leaves. Which was (and may be again) a legitimate threat. If they gone, I don't know if I will even continue to follow the NBA. Certainly not as closely as I do now.

I can't even poke fun at other team's problems when i know Riley is going to max out this damn whiteside knucklehead even though the game is rapidly changing and that type of player no longer carries a team like it used to : /
Naw, he's a terrific 6th man but you don't max a 6th man unless you're cleveland
But he can't even pass to them. You're lucky if he gets one assist a game. so as soon as the ball goes to him, you just do your best to double him because that ball isn't going anywhere else.
he got annoyed the other day against the bulls because Deng made a 3 and didn't pass it to him instead lol

Uhoh Rodeo:
By Zach LoweDanny Ainge's Mystery Target has gotten all the post-trade deadline attention, but with the Bucks and Timberwolves facing off tonight, let's look at perhaps the most interesting deal that didn't happen on February 18th: Minnesota's push to acquire Khris Middleton.http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14903208/minnesota-attempt-send-ricky-rubio-speaks-volumes
After some initial talks, the Wolves told Milwaukee they would swap Ricky Rubio for Middelton, and when the Bucks declined, Minnesota even discussed the possibility of tossing in a protected 2016 first-round pick, per league sources familiar with the matter. Other outlets have reported Milwaukee's interest in Rubio – Jason Kidd seems to have a thing for rangy point guards with busted jumpers – but Milwaukee never seriously entertained trading Middleton, sources say.
By Freedom = $1.05 Go To Posthe got annoyed the other day against the bulls because Deng made a 3 and didn't pass it to him instead lolLebetard was talking out of his ass. Whiteside was barely upset. By PSYCH! Go To PostLebetard was talking out of his ass. Whiteside was barely upset. Dude has been a whiner about his numbers, though to his credit until the Deng thing i hadn't noticed that shit recently
but you gotta give me the assists thing, psych. Dude doesn't pass for shit.

yea Whiteside is pretty dumb so I doubt having Steph Klay Nash and Ray Allen at the 3pt line would persuade him to pass out of the post more.

You've got 2 teams that are on historically good seasons. With amazing all time rosters. OKC would be tied for the lead in the East, but they're 3rd in the West.
Utah's season ISN'T surprising. They've been progressively getting better and better.
Portlands is surprisingly good. But houstons is surprisingly bad. So it's balanced.
The East is better. But i wouldn't say it's swingin that way in any major positive or in any major shift. Considering that the East was historically atrocious the last 2 years this had to happen.
What's surprising is how the West used to have 11 teams competing for the 8 play off spots but only have 9 this year.
aside from that being fucked up, joke would work better if he just said call him timmy mcveigh
