... does anyone know what the fuck was wrong with Rondo there? I remember seeing that on the news and I don't get why he refused to pick up the ball.

Rondo is an asshole. Its who he is
By DY_nasty Go To PostYeah.. Harden doesn't want a real offense though lolLol. too true.
By Jonm Go To PostGentry is the type of coach trying to match the roster to his system, not a coach that matches the system to his roster. If i have one overarcing problem with him that is it. It has nothing to do with simplifying the offense or forcing the ball to AD.
But thats just simply not true.
I can't comment too much on the Jrue thing. But it might be a way to try and make sure the second unit isn't pure trash. It could be to spare Jrue going up against starters.
I don't think you can analyse "great units" on a team that just doesn't have any consistently healthy players. It's a false statistic. He has also been traditionally, very good at playing what ever works best. Not being stuck with rotations, being very flexible. So you guys have complaints, but history tells me the complaints are misdirected. You're reading the wrong thing out of what you see.
Also, it's going to take more than another year to turn the team as a whole around. It's going to be 2 or 3. They're in a bad situation money / picks wise IIRC.
By PSYCH! Go To Postyeah but Karl is running one of the worst defenses in the league and dmc hasn't been very efficient in his offense despite putting up great numbers…
They finally changed the defense, courtesy of Thibs perhaps.
By etiolation Go To PostThey finally changed the defense, courtesy of Thibs perhaps.how many games?
By DY_nasty Go To PostSonics would've wonthis is a fact
By PSYCH! Go To Posthow many games?
It began when Thibs arrived, so two games again plus tonight. First night was awkward, as they look out of sorts playing actual man defense. Second game started to look more competent. Tonight, they actually played some passable defense. Mavs missed many open threes, but they were 15 plus seconds into the shot clock type of shots, which have a historically lower %. They also finally began to funnel dribblers towards the sidelines rather than the middle.
For most of the season, the Kings D was actually funneling all drives to the middle of the paint and trying to shot block everything out of a semi-zone D.
By fertygo Go To PostThibs now Karl's assistant?Thibs is great ast
By giririsss Go To Post[…]They are set to have 21m I'm cap space if they don't resign Gordon or Anderson. Evans and Jrue expire next year. Asik can be cut without penalty the year after that.

They have rights to all their future first round picks but do not own anyone else's. They owe some second rounders but are owed more than that so that averages out to the team having more than one per draft for the next few years.

Foye: 35% fg .295% 3pfg 7.91 PER
Payne: .437% fg .378% 3pfg 16.59 PER
Seems like a good swap. Donovan....wtf. Maybe Presti has started to drift away from analytics or something, maybe some wires got crossed and a guy who was grabbed only for cap reasons was just somehow seen as an asset by Donovan...idk but there's some real ignoring of analytics going on in regards to certain moves both GM and coaching wise in OKC of late and its a large change from what we've seen in years prior.
Donovan's Recent Lineup Adjustments
Another change is Randy Foye taking over Cameron Payne's minutes. Since the trade deadline Donovan has gone with the veteran point guard who has seemed to find his place. He's a better defender and obviously has more experience, but it's still a tough situation for Payne. We saw a short glimpse of him last night, but I'd like to see him out there more with Durant and/or Westbrook.

Isn't OKC always ignore analytic?
we talking about team that hell bent playing 4 vs 6 with Perkins for years with all stat suggest he the worst player in the league

Heat could easily pile up a bunch of wins before their game with the raps on 3/12. We play the sixers twice, the bucks, and the lowly bulls.
It's not entirely impossible that they finish 2nd in the east which is like some bizarro shit given this team has been so weird this season.
Hell, outside of an off night, it's likely the heat only lose at most 3-4 times for the rest of the season. I give them a loss against the Cavs, the Spurs, maybe the Celts, and a game or two of sloppy play against bad teams

Btw literally all other NBA team have improved offense at this season, and yet OKC still play their iso offense that even bottom feeder avoid to play now, that Gerald Henderson fadeaway offense that team like bobcats play isn't rampant anymore
no wonder OKC and houston record regress despite their talent in roster, Bucks that also play early 2000's O also in same category

I feel so relieved to know others understand the pain I endured watching a top athlete take fadeaways for 4 years.
I don't see KD leaving unless he can go to somewhere and contend immediately. Boston is doing well but I don't think the addition of KD makes them a contender. Dude's got a ton of money and will get paid wherever he goes so he might as well go somewhere that gives him a chance at a ring.
Sorry Gondo, that place isn't OKC any longer and that's a real fucking shame because they could've been a special team if things didn't break the way they did.

I would think going to the East is pretty appealing, though. He'd be able to get away from San Antonio and Golden State.
By blackace Go To PostSo what happened to all rofl the west talk from the first 30 games of the season?Clippers ain't better than the Raptors so its justified
By DY_nasty Go To PostClippers ain't better than the Raptors so its justified0-4 this season but 3 without BG (the 1 on limited min thanks to foul trouble).
i'd take the clippers over the raptors any day.

yes, they need to be smaller. otherwise good job, i'm not just a nagger.
alternatively, you can disable them for psych. that would to the trick.

Yeah, they are rather large. Not sure if it would be best to have them be a smaller size, add an option to profile to set the size, or dynamically pick the size based on browser width/height.

People (including myself) constantly bash presti for not keeping Harden but...if Harden is an alpha and YNB is an alpha then maybe OKC was better off letting him go?
I mean could you image how toxic the OKC locker room would be if those two still played together?
just food for thought

Man Harden at OKC was fun to watch, its same BS ISO that they running now, but there's better synergy than what those 3 playing since splitting
actually no, I think OKC actually have few more play in harden days, since they can actually can play pick n roll with him
lol OKC
lol OKC
With Harden they'd be free to play Durant at the 4 at all times
Line ups with more than one of Ibaka, Adams, and Kanter at the same time give me cancer.
