By Kibner Go To PostThere have been several players over the last five years that I just cannot stand, though. In no particular order: Norris Cole, Brian Roberts, Luke Babbitt, Tyreke Evans, Jimmer, John Salmons, Alexis Ajinca, Greg Stiemsma, and fucking Kaman. We have a roster of mismatched parts. Some of those guys I don't mind in isolation. In the right situation. If I throw away the context of their cost or what it cost to get them.
Demps magically thought Gentry could turn a bunch of guys that have never shown the ability to play pace and space, selfless, high IQ offensive basketball into just that. And Gentry believed it too. Yes injuries are the major problem but at the end of the day there are too many one-way, high variance players on one team trying to play a type of basketball that best suits multi-dimensional, selfless, two way players.
I know its not going to happen but i'm rooting for OKC to win this game, for the sake of basketball.

The only guys who really do what is needed are AD, Jrue, Pondexter, and sometimes Cunningham (who is being forced to play out of position on the wing).

You can simplify your offence only so far. If you make it too simple, then it's too easy to defend. And you'd get completely destroyed and not learn anything about your players and roster. AD is ok in the post, but he's not DMC. You don't want to play "just dump it to AD" like the kings do with DMC. You want to take advantage of his athleticism and put him in motion.
Then you add in the fact that they are never healthy. The team just doesn't' get enough time together to really get comfortable with any offence.
By the posts in this thread there's no coach that you would accept. Maybe mike brown's dump it to bron offence. But that's not going to do anything for you long term. And AD is too frail to get banged up that much.
Really, the roster and health need fixing. The coach can only do much.
It's why the Hornacek firing was also bad.
By blackace Go To PostI am legit shocked that Horny's name has been remotely connected to anywhereHe's a good coach. Got fucked like Malone.
These refs are so nice to Green jesus, so many times I'd T him up and I'm one of the few who can stand the guy.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postynot is having a hard time right nowHe's losing his mind being in the same court as Steph. Never seen him so glitched
what the fuck
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostWhat the fuck at that westbrook defense just nowHe isn't disciplined and loses focus pretty easily.

By DY_nasty Go To PostThis OKC offense man…. imagine if they weren't the most talented team in the league.
how are they still not running an offense. This is like 5+ years in for them
By domino Go To Posthow are they still not running an offense. This is like 5+ years in for themBecause Russ and Durant think what they have been doing works fine and, when sphincters begin to tighten, they trust themselves to get a bucket more than an open teammate.

The only players worse than Westbrook from beyond the arc are Ron Harper, Josh Smith, and Charles Barkley. That's the company he is in.
By DY_nasty Go To PostYeah.. Harden doesn't want a real offense though lol
That Thunder development culture.
Don't need no coach no offense, just want the ball and score.
