For the Dark Souls fans, this may be of interest. Especially if you're also a fancy poster/screen print fan.
i'll hold off judgement on ps4.5 until i get concrete proof that current users will just get barely-playable, running at 5fps 720p games instead of the full package. 4k doesn't really interest me and VR is not a priority either, but if Bloodborne 2 was made for PS4.5 and the ps4 version was an afterthought I'm giving up on console gaming.

I'm always surprised by people saying this. The gameplay was fine I thought, got a little repetitive in the end, but so does just about every other game out there. The stealth was pretty good and shooting felt like what I would want from a horror/game that is all about the atmosphere. Even being bored by all the zombie games coming out at the time, I thought the whole game was refreshing and well done to the end, one of my favorite PS3 games for sure. It was a shame the performance was so shit, especially in multiplayer, which I thought was still entertainment for 10 hours or so anyway.
I thought TLoU was a really great game, the set pieces weren't just there for fluff like Uncharted, but rather offered a good mix of stealth and shooting for when things got crazy. Maybe there were some "cinematic experiences" like the horse ride, but the overall game was a clear improvement over anything else ND has done.

I thought that was great as well. So was the part where you saw those damn giraffes. Great moments, and not done too much.

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostWe really justifying TLOU?
why are we back here again?
Justifying? :lol
It's a great game and plenty of people loved it. That should be good enough.

why are we back here again?
its not a mediocre game by any definition of the word
The Last of Us is great. If the Grounded difficulty would have been on by default people would be calling it the greatest survival horror game since (insert favorite game here).
The batman vision and amount of resources available on the lower difficulty levels did the game no favors.

Gaf went mental when the batman vision was unveiled
Didn't blame them tbh, thought the game would have been designed around it, obviously wasn't though.

Yeah batvision in games, especially stealth games, seems to just be what is expected these days. Which really sucks. Even in hitman absolution they went away from looking through keyholes or under doors, to that stupid shit.

Felt like a right sneaky cunt.
Hodgson: “He’s 28, so he’s not a youngster compared to the others,” Hodgson said of Vardy, “but he’s very young in terms of his top-class playing career and he’s a very fit guy, so he’s not going to be burnt out at the age of 31 or 32 like some fellas who, to be fair, get in the first-team at 16 and have had 14 years of it.”
Oh that's cold.

Anyone expecting a 4k game running more than 15 fps for the new ps4 has a rude awakening to look forward to.

Like I said the other day - reprojection techniques.
You'll only get 4K/30fps on very simple looking games.
By Cleff Go To PostI may need to have a look at NeoGaf gaming side now Wollan is back.
Ugh he's such an annoying fucking fanboy.

If the ter Stegen thing is true then Hart is a goner.

tbh it is a long time since he posted, so my memory might be off, but I just remember him being absolutely insufferable with his fanboy shit. He was in every thread.

Also TLoU was fantastic. And PS4.5 makes sense.
Historically gaming consoles are the slowest to have fheir hardware updated, and that doesnt make sense when we have phones, tablets, tv boxes having revisions every single year. The defragmenting gaming community bullshit is just naysayers trying to keep with the stupid known tradition.

It makes sense from a technological point of view for sure. The real question is, if the many people who bought a PS4 (and xbone) already, are willing to buy yet another one already. Highly doubt it.
Edit: See above. Purely anecdotal, but I don't see many of my friends or family that owns PS4, already buying an upgraded version. They bought that expecting it to last as long as PS1, PS2, and PS3.

The whole point of a console is convenience, not to be cutting edge. People who want power and choice play PC games.
