it will definitely be a contentious issue in the next cba negotiations. The owner's approval of Goddell is as high as the players' approval is low.

Hope this goes to the Supreme Court.

basically when it comes to doling out suspensions, he's nigh unfuckwitable.
Our role is not to determine for ourselves whether Brady participated in
a scheme to deflate footballs or whether the suspension imposed by
the Commissioner should have been for three games or five games
or none at all. Nor is it our role to second‐guess the arbitrator’s
procedural rulings. Our obligation is limited to determining
whether the arbitration proceedings and award met the minimum
legal standards established by the Labor Management Relations Act,
29 U.S.C. § 141 et seq. (the “LMRA”). We must simply ensure that
the arbitrator was “even arguably construing or applying the
contract and acting within the scope of his authority” and did not
“ignore the plain language of the contract.” United Paperworks Int’l
Union v. Misco, Inc., 484 U.S. 29, 38 (1987). These standards do not
require perfection in arbitration awards. Rather, they dictate that
even if an arbitrator makes mistakes of fact or law, we may not
disturb an award so long as he acted within the bounds of his
bargained‐for authority.
Here, that authority was especially broad. The Commissioner
was authorized to impose discipline for, among other things,
“conduct detrimental to the integrity of, or public confidence, in the
game of professional football.” In their collective bargaining
agreement, the players and the League mutually decided many
years ago that the Commissioner should investigate possible rule
violations, should impose appropriate sanctions, and may preside at
arbitrations challenging his discipline. Although this tripartite
regime may appear somewhat unorthodox, it is the regime
bargained for and agreed upon by the parties, which we can only
presume they determined was mutually satisfactory.
Given this substantial deference, we conclude that this case is
not an exceptional one that warrants vacatur. Our review of the
record yields the firm conclusion that the Commissioner properly
exercised his broad discretion to resolve an intramural controversy
between the League and a player. Accordingly, we REVERSE the
judgment of the district court and REMAND with instructions to
confirm the award.

I mean, the suspension was essentially a lifetime achievement award, it would've been wrong to take it away from Tom!
Ole Miss LT Laremy Tunsil is being sued by his stepfather for an alleged assault that happened last June.Really? I mean God dammit.
Lindsey Miller, Tunsil's stepdad, claims Tunsil attacked him and defamed his character, causing "intentional inflection of emotional distress." This absolutely reeks of a money-grab by Miller with Tunsil set to become a millionaire Thursday night. Hopefully for Tunsil, he kicks Miller out of his life altogether

We've all been there, Frank. Never a feeling you can get used to.
I think Kiper has the Ravens taking Ronnie Stanley at #6 if he's still there. Would love Ramsey, but it looks like he's going to be long gone by then. I have no clue how this goes after #2.

Yeah GQman2121, this was supposed to be for a new thread. I'm doing a bastardized version of it without team needs at position and who they picked last year. It's just going to be an update with scouting report from either PFF or any top draft board I can find. I'll post it in this location and also update it as I go along, not sure how many Rounds I was planning on doing (2? 3?). I'll see what happens. Because it includes scouting reports that are like kinda long I may just link the report.

Goff will come in with a good o-line and running game. Seems like a good scenario for success. Hoping he can add more size. Wetnz looks puny
Dallas kinda has RBs, I don't see them taking Elliot. Probably get Ramsey here.
EDIT:
EDIT:
By Kabro Go To Postso someone sell me on Goff.http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2016jgoff.php
who are scouts comparing him to?
Player Comparison: Matt Ryan. In terms of build and style of play, Goff is reminiscent of Ryan. Both are functional pocket passers who can challenge a defense with accuracy in all levels of the field. Goff is a better runner than Ryan, but Goff won't be a true dual-threat quarterback in the NFL. Ryan was chosen with the third-overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, and Goff could also go in the top 10. If Goff lands with good talent around him, I could see him being a quarterback similar to Ryan, but I think not quite as good as Ryan.
Ezekiel Elliot is great, but we really need help on defense. I think this pick will work out just fine, but I don't like it. Wanted Bosa or Ramsey. FCUK.
I really don't understand drafting an RB that high in today's NFL.
He'd better be Adrian Peterson-tier.

I don't hate the pick although I do hate Elliot.
I don't hate the pick although I do hate Elliot.
Dallas has been devaluing RBs and propping their God-tier O-Line for the last 2 years... now you draft a stud RB? It doesn't make sense to me, I'm with Enron.
By KingGondo Go To PostI really don't understand drafting an RB that high in today's NFL.Yep. Kiper just mentioned it before the pick. Three starting RBs in the league were taken in the first round. That's an incredible stat that can't be ignored. He better have Peterson production or it's a waste.
He'd better be Adrian Peterson-tier.
There's a decent chance Zeke will be good, especially behind that line. But it's terrible value for a #4 pick.

Very happy with Stanley. I've followed him at ND for the last three years and he's made strides every season. One sack given up last year with a freshman QB playing the majority of the year. He's the safest selection and will play from week one, hopefully for the next decade. Good job Ozzie!
Eugene Monroe is going to be cut by this time next week.
