he's fallen so far ever since SB 47(?) that I can't imagine there's much of a demand for him.
he could probably be average under Chip's offense, why throw that away to be a bench warmer?

as someone that used to be an eagles fan, chip can fuck off but Kap has his career to worry about. it's probably his best chance at making something of it so just stick with it.

He is... Chip is most likely setting him up for failure. The 49ers are drafting a QB regardless if he there or not.
Bet he is hoping the Rams bite
Eagles re-signed QB Sam Bradford to a two-year, $36 million contract.absolute schwarbage. This could the the dark ages of QBing...
Another $4 million is available through incentives. The deal includes a whopping $26 million guaranteed, but we wouldn't be surprised if that number is overshooting the true guarantees a little bit. Bradford's signing coupled with Kirk Cousins being franchise tagged leaves Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brock Osweiler as this year's only semi-viable free agent quarterbacks. Bradford was largely the same player he's always been in his first year as an Eagle, lacking for consistency and missing time with injury. He posted a 7.0 YPA to go along with a 19:14 TD:INT ratio across 14 starts. Going on 29, we're not expecting the "next step" from the Oklahoma product in 2016. His deal is a reflection of how thin the quarterback pool is, not his talent.
what could he have possibly done that made someone think he deserves 18 million a year?
I thought it would take philly awhile to undo the tank Chip put into place, but they just go ahead and resign this bum

By Enron Go To PostKap would have been just as bad in Philly as he is in SF. He's just bad.I'd take Kap over Sam Bradford any day
By Enron Go To PostJust because Sam Bradford is bad doesn't mean Kap is worth a shit, though.it means Kap is better than him...
By blackace Go To Postit means Kap is better than him…I don't know what happened with him, but he's become hot trash over the past year. When you get beat out by Blaine fuckin Gabbert of all people...
By cashman Go To PostI don't know what happened with him, but he's become hot trash over the past year. When you get beat out by Blaine fuckin Gabbert of all people…lol as Seahawk fan I can only laugh at that...
but think he could rebound somewhere
Kap never progressed as a player and defenses adjusted to the read-option. He doesn't make good reads. He's a first target QB, but worst of all is that he struggles to make the various types of throws you need to make at the NFL level. He's nothing but fastballs. The hope with him was that he'd round out his deep ball accuracy and that would open up his fastball for guys dropping into spots in the zone as the defense gets stretched, but the accuracy never came and the Niners O-Line fell apart due to retirement and free agency.
And the secret with Kaep is in spite of his great leg speed, he's not a good scrambler. His pocket movement is rather poor for a running QB.

By DY_nasty Go To PostI mean… you still take him over Genothat's the point he still has upside and Sam for 18 mill? lol
skins fans actually hungry for a long term deal with cousins
im like fuck that, franchise tag was made for this situation--really good chance dude comes out next year looking like a flash in the pan scrub

Agree with that. Kaep also has played under a good QB coach for a few years, so he's not forever broken. He has had some good coaching.
So who was the mod leading to the blowup in the previously untouchable and great NFL thread over there? Corrected myself, don't think it was XiaNaphryz.
EDIT: and people thought what happened in the NBA thread wasn't a harbinger of things to come.

Can Giants plz have a Charles Johnson or some pass rusher or just talent on the defensive line in general? You don't know the horror of football until you've had Uani Unga as your starting MLB.

NFL was rowdier than NBA but had more mods as fans of the sport so it lasted longer
By DY_nasty Go To PostRoddy cut in MarchRoddy's been done for a while now TBH.
Geez
By The Frankman Go To PostSo who was the mod leading to the blowup in the previously untouchable and great NFL thread over there? Corrected myself, don't think it was XiaNaphryz.I dunno, I don't want to blame Xia because I generally like him as a poster, but things started going downhill quick after he became a mod and started posting in there regularly. Whether that's just correlation or causation I guess we'll never know.

By DY_nasty Go To PostIts not even entertaining to joke about the Giants these daysGiants are just one controversy away from going on another SuperBowl run, but my GOD at the lack of talent on D and injuries... like how can this be explained?

sounds like when i dont know what to name my created player
By DY_nasty Go To PostThat name is the first L I've ever seen Google take.Whoops, it's Uani' Unga

He was a pretty good college linebacker and led the nation in tackles but got hurt the last play of the last game in college and hurt his knee. He spent all of 2014 and some of 2015 rehabbing and was signed as a project guy to see if he could regain his form. Since Giants got decimated by injuries he was the starter for about 7-8 games... I mean for a rookie coming back from injury he wasn't bad but boy when he misread stuff he was turrible. Also he's not really a cover guy so he got exploited alot, but if he picks up the NFL game he could be a decent rotation LB. His story is pretty inspirational, he just shouldn't have been starting as a rookie.
goddamn it's another 6 or 7 weeks to the draft. i'm so ready for the Titans to get this #1 pick over with
xia was posting in there for like 2 days before he started warning people about posts (jak's drunken ramblings for example), and it took like 2 weeks for 5 regs to be banned. dude sucks.
I'm a panthers fan but I swear if I wasn't I'd be paying money to troll Josh Norman. Never liked him.
I liked Xia as a poster but as a mod he's just like the rest of the new mods. Hot fucking garbage. Confrontational and just dying to wield authority and settle old scores
Who else got clipped? I thought it was like 3 dudes

BUT ANYWAY
Free agent DE Charles Johnson will visit the Giants on Sunday.oh ... yes...
It's Johnson's first visit since his release. He would provide a proven pass rusher for a Giants team that is reeling at defensive end with both Robert Ayers and Jason Pierre-Paul headed to free agency. Johnson is also expected to have interest from the Saints. Sort of a poor man's Justin Tuck, Johnson is a base left end who can rush from the interior in passing situations.
rgiii released finally
man i hope he can get back on track, would love to see him stick it in the face of the some of the locals here

By Enron Go To PostRGIII is cooked as an NFL qb. Once his legs went, the rest of his game wasn't good enough.Don't think that's true at all... The Texans and Rams will most likely be seriously looking to add him as a possible starter... I refuse to believe he is the black Rick Mirer
Enron's RGIII dislike is well noted. I can't kill him due to Gruden never buying into him, but yeah he needs to goto a place with a fresh start and actually work his ass off.
Also the NFL news is exploding right now:
Also the NFL news is exploding right now:
The Eagles are "finalizing" a trade that will send DeMarco Murray to the Titans when the NFL's new league year opens Wednesday afternoon.... ok, I think it's a much better deal for the Titans than people think. Check out their running game last year, I think him and Mariota can be a good offense combo, but Murray needs to be not done.
NFL observers should be impressed with Eagles GM Howie Roseman, who in a matter of days will be unloading a huge chunk of salary, and three players who were almost entirely ineffective in 2015. Kiko Alonso and Byron Maxwell are also headed out the door. Murray averaged 3.64 yards per carry last season, and his legs have appeared dead since the end of the 2014 campaign in Dallas, where Murray amassed nearly 500 all-purpose touches. In theory, Murray will give the Titans a bellcow back and provide an upgrade on Antonio Andrews. Like Murray, however, Andrews also finished last season with a 3.64 YPC average. Murray, of course, is far more skilled in the passing game. Either way, this trade looks like a big win for Philadelphia and a potentially ugly one for Tennessee.
RG3 is better than anyone the Rams have had since Marc Bulger. Not that that's saying much, but yeah.
