By rvy Go To PostThis reaction to the Colin debacle is just further proof that players should shut the fuck up instead of commenting on social issues.I think the players should speak up more... even if they say stupid shit
Now we got the GOAT Jerry Rice saying dumb shit that misses the point, like 'all lives matter'.
You don't say, Jerry.
Let the man sit down in protest if he wants to, he's not doing anything wrong.
Ray Rice knocked the shit out his girlfriend and nobody batted an eye. Colin sits down and everybody goes crazy. Priorities and shit.
By blackace Go To PostI think the players should speak up more… even if they say stupid shitI think they should speak more if they say something valuable. All lives matter isn't valuable.
I think people like LeBron and D Wade get to speak. Melo.
I don't think Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders should embarrass themselves like this, because they completely miss the point.
When Jim Brown co-signs what you did, what else need to be said.
Because it's their opinion? They didn't miss the point they just have a different outlook... I think all lives matter is nonsensical but many people don't... That's why what Colin is doing is important because it is showing the toe-the-line or shut up crowd
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postdallas was never rumored to have interest though
I think anyone with a brain could see tony's time was up sooner rather than later, I think Rob would have been thirsty to get back to texas and take it back to the skins even if he had to ride the bench for a short while
The O-Line and running game is a perfect fit for him too
yeah but you are forgetting one crucial thing - RGIII has shown just about nada since he got hurt at the end of his rookie year. There real questions about him being able to actually execute a drop back and pass attack, and he hasn't done a damn thing in 3 years asides from disappoint. If he turns into an allpro in CLE well, more power to him but I don't think anyone is betting on it.
Im glad Dallas had very little interest. I would rather them try and find a new franchise QB instead of trying to win the lottery on talented has-beens.

Uh, considering that it dominated the sports world for weeks, I don't think this is very accurate.

good to know who should be ignored
fuuuuuuck just imagining that gives me the chills. i cant even imagine the level of pain.
anyway im still excited for the season. titans gonna be a lot better this year.

His second year coming off the ACL wasn't even all that bad. 16 TD 12 ints over 13 games in a pretty FUBAR year for the entire team.
The third year is when the shit really hit the fan but that's the same year Cousins got benched and looked like hot ass too.
I think RGIII has an uphill journey but not taking a flyer on him seems incredibly stupid for a team like Dallas imo.
To do what? Be a bad QB in a bad offense? Colin is not a good player. Dude is about to be out of football, and it won't be because of his recent actions during the national anthem.
Why would they? They had Romo, and they had their "flyer" qb #3 in dak prescott, who is exactly what you want as your QB flyer. Talent to develop. For the #2 backup, the Cowboys need an experienced veteran who can execute an offense and hold serve. That's it. RGIII was looking for a situation to prove himself as a starter. That wasn't going to happen in Dallas, even if the 'Boys wanted it to.

so apparently jared goff is shit lol
rams are by far the biggest fails in the league. they got a fucking kings ransom for RGIII and are still complete shit

NFL players are not comfortable with their doctors. A 2013 NFLPA survey found that roughly nine in 10 players didn't trust their team's medical staff, with 78 percent rating their distrust a "5," the highest score they could give.
Getting a second opinion can create problems, too. Rhett recalls seeing another team's physician, Dr. Robert Anderson of the Panthers, because he didn't trust the Browns' treatment plan for his Lisfranc injury. Rhett was happy with Anderson, who operated on the injury, but he says the Browns weren't.
"The doctor comes in and says, 'Errict, hey man, I didn't know that we weren't supposed to do the surgery, I didn't know you were just here on a second opinion,'" Rhett recalls. "‘I thought that we were here to take care of you. The Cleveland Browns just cussed us out.'"
Chris and Ma'ake didn't think they needed to see other doctors. They had been in football's care from high school through their final days as pros.
"When you go to the NFL, you trust the team, you trust the doctors," Ma'ake says. "Football is a team sport where you have to trust the 11 guys next to you, which is what we did down to the whole –"
Chris adds to the thought: "— Down to getting your driver's license —"
"— Down to getting your driver's license! You trust people to help you."

I wouldn't honestly trust any sporting organization to do right by player's health especially as owners and the med staff are looking towards getting the most out of players the longest and making as much money as they can. And who knows how much the owners are cheaping out when they hire these "doctors" and "trainers." All of that mess is a huge impediment to the human part of the equation that these players are routinely damaged and need care.
"Team sport" is technically correct but really the shit that comes first is being entertainment for a billionaire to make money off of.

Giants waived RB Andre Williams.
The No. 113 overall pick of the 2014 draft, Williams has specialized in smashing into brick walls and falling down. He's a "power" runner who doesn't bowl people over, a major problem since he lacks speed and has stone hands. It's frankly surprising he lasted as long as he did in New York. Williams owns a pathetic 3.20 YPC on 305 career carries.
By The Frankman Go To PostA first rounder… FOR SAM BRADFORD
What a time to be alive
disgusting
Works out well for Cleveland who have Philly's first round pick from Wentz trade.
Also, Eagles pay Bradford's $11 million guarantee and free up that amount in cap space.
Minnesota is only paying his $7m salary for 2016. He's due $17m next year with his guarantee + salary though which is shaky.

That seems to be alot for a guy asked to be a game manager in Minny... who may not even be good at that.

that's the going rate for backup/"game manager" QBs these days. Apparently there's only ~10 men in the entire world at any given time that can play this position "well."
49ers FB Bruce Miller has been arrested for assault.
Miller, who has been accused of domestic violence in the past, is accused of beating up a father (70 years old) and a son in an extremely bizarre incident. Miller attempted to check into a hotel on Sunday. Told it was full, he returned Monday morning and seemingly randomly attacked the two men. This incident could cost Miller his roster spot.
... the fuck?

Could be a number of reasons... I can't even judge it until I knew what happened between them for real...
supposedly his ex and child have been in contact with him a lot...
RGIII has a lot of bipolar / manic symptoms to me tho
