It is a blood-clot scare for Chris Bosh, source tells AP. Source also insists that Bosh's season has not been declared over.
By The Frankman Go To PostHmmm… Knicks need to dump Calderon. Let's see:

I prefer the Bucks trade but honestly I do both those trades. Neither can hurt at this point.

That fuckin blows. Bosh is one of my favorite players in the league. Cool guy too. Fuck
He got paid, and got rings, it sucks but he's accomplished a lot. The main thing is will these bloodclots endanger his life going forward.
Why do horrible things happen to such amazing people. Chris Bosh is one of the nicest people in the NBA. I had the pleasure of meeting him briefly in a Miami Cuban lunch spot and he talked with me for a good five minutes and was nothing but smiles,
The man is class.

Guess we'll find out tomorrow or when the team is at practice again on Wednesday.

Didn't he just signed a 100 million contract? Dude has hit the bank. Now he needs to prioritize his life before basketball.
By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostI prefer the Bucks trade but honestly I do both those trades. Neither can hurt at this point.I just saw a report that Knicks are desperate to shop Calderon. They could've had Lawson like a month ago, Knicks just aren't willing to take the "risk" it seems. MCW is interesting because while he's not a shooter, reducing his usage rate by having him play a system offense like the Triangle will reduce his turnovers. Plus MCW came into the league as a good defender with length, him plus Galloway and Grant give the Knicks three guys who are solid defenders at PG. Bucks had Calderon before and Jason Kidd values smart PGs, not to mention as a team Bucks can hide Calderon's nonexistent D a lot better.
Really, Knicks need to stop wasting their time trying to get guys like Teague, they don't have enough assets. Just trade with a team desperate to get rid of their PG/get a good contract deal (Lawson).
By knux-future Go To PostMCW has the tools to be a good defender…doesn't mean he is oneI'll take the guy with the tools and doesn't know how to use them yet than the guy who tries to bum them off others. Also I can't lie, I like Syracuse guys. Them and St. Johns were my team hardcore back in the day. :D

I think Phil was trying to take advantage of the hesitant trade market. It looks like Atlanta has been shopping Teague for a while and nobody wanted to bite.
I understand their hesitancy on Lawson he parties too much, sucks right now, and I honestly think they want to keep him away from the rookies. Look at JR's negative influence on Shump and Hardaway. I still think that trade goes down easy and Morey would probably want second rounders at this point and would call it a victory.
Idk if they can even move Calderon, or O'quinn for MCW though. He sucks now but is still young enough might get his shit together and become consistent. Funny enough I think O'quinn might be a better center for them than Monroe
im sure you nyk peeps know the problem with o'quinn by now

By blackace Go To Postputting Lawson in NY just seems like a bad ideaEither he fails, Knicks cut him and recoup a good amount of salary cap money (clause in contract) or he does ok and the trade works. Literally win/win... they only lose is if he only only falls apart but takes a rookie out with him.

I don't know he could fuck up the locker room pretty badly... and could undermine whatever little respect Kurt is going to have...
I don't think it's an either / or situation

By 33MillionDollarMen Go To PostThe hell people want Lawson for, what's he even done up to this point?
he is a lowish risk, high reward player
By 33MillionDollarMen Go To PostWell his self-discipline will see to that.More like James Harden by himself has seen more ISO action than some entire teams have this year. I said in the offseason that for Houston to be successful with Ty, Harden would have to defer. It hasn't happened. If anything, James has clung to his usage rate to the point where no one on the team can be successful other than him.
He would actually be really good for the Jazz but there's 0% chance they trade for him. Which is fine.. multiple DUI's ugh.

People in here acting like utah is a dry state....
I think the problem with TY is that he has been completely useless this season, while never coming back with strong play to prove doubters wrong. So all the doubts about him just stay.
Weird situation for him.

NY is famous for after-hour joints and Texas has drive-thru booze shops

I would lol but then I remember how they trade raped Miami for Dragic. They might legit might get a young player and a pick.

Really unfortunate for the Heat too since they had a real possibility of trading for someone to put them over the edge.

By fertygo Go To Postwhat they get for dragic?
Two first round picks (a 17/18/19 pick depending on how other trades work out and a 2021 pick) and the corpse of Danny Granger
By blackace Go To PostNot quite a drive-thru daiquiri shop (legal as long as you don't put the straw in!), but still impressive.
