By Smokey Go To PostNever thought gondo would flip on ibakaI like him, and I think he's still valuable, but we aren't using him correctly. We rarely go small with him at the 5 and KD at the 4.
He's extremely good when used correctly but his versatility is virtually nil. If you aren't keeping him around the basket on D and giving him high-percentage jumpers on O then he's useless.
The odds are against trading him, but there's a bigger chance of it than many think.
By DY_nasty Go To Postbut you're about that max kanter life thokanter contract is like average contract after next year doe
not bad for PER 24 player
By @TommyBeerBroussard on ESPN: "The Clippers called the Nuggets and offered Blake Griffin & Lance Stephenson for Jokic, Will Barton, Gallanari & Faried"GM Doc doin 2 much.
Also: standard Broussources disclaimer applies.
That's probably the highest value you'd get for Griffin but that's a ton of good to great assets for Denver to give up. If I were Denver I'd give up only 2 of those 4 players max. Which ones? I'm not sure.

If your Denver IDK if you say no to a Star Player for that. They charged a lot more for Melo so they would have to see how sweet that deal was.

You're giving away two really nice role players and 2 really nice young potential stars on cheap contracts for Blake, who while he's a great player is only one piece. Let's not kid ourselves that Lance is any sort of an asset.
If Mudiay wasn't ass I *might* consider it, but there's no way in hell I include Jokic.

Dwight Howard could be moved by Thursday's trade deadline. Miami is talking with Houston about a deal that would include Hassan Whiteside.
lol wut. Does Miami even have any firsts left to offer Morey? Doubt he's trading Dwight for Whiteside's bird rights and salaries, he can probably extract a protected 1st out of someone.

By DY_nasty Go To PostBlake for a starting lineup lol foh
This deal is great for Denver they would have all their picks and basically move 28 mil in salary for 18 mil for Blake who was having a career season before he started to get injured. Its a 22-32 team after all.
All that cap saving they are doing once they don't take Lance's option. That's enough money to get a good starter (who would be a lot more likely to come to play with blake) plus they might as well tank for a chance to get a high pick this year. They could get a good team together in time for the 2017 FA PG bonanza. Also who knows maybe Mudiay develops into not sucking.

They charged a shit ton of picks for Melo. Hell they even can swap with the knicks this year if the knicks have a worse record and they took all the knicks starters and it meant nothing. They more than most should know you trade starters for a star if you have the ability to rebuild around them. That was the mistake NY made, it forgoed those picks and assets. If you make this trade you do one or the other always.
By Red Blaster Go To Postbe a steal for clips, gallinari has been insanely good this year
The only player more injury prone than Gallo is Wilson Chandler. Jokic and Barton would be the deal breakers for me but the Nuggets should move them for a star. If blake is healthy Nuggets win this trade. Gallo is injury prone and Faried hasn't developed any part of his game in how long? You ask anyone if a team takes Blake or Jokic and Barton if given a choice and every team is going to take Blake.
man idk
blake is only a couple of years away from free agency--nuggets might just be delaying a rebuild for a couple of seasons with a move like this

Doubt it. Miami rarely leaks anything but some of the local beat writers are saying we've been gaging Hassan's trade value.

Its a risk but they are still the same team post Melo trade. Too many pretty good guys and not a single star.
To put my argument into a few sentences. Have they even had an all star since Melo left? Does any of the guys mentioned in that trade look like they will be All Star good in 3 seasons? They will have picks and money to start building around Blake immediately. Its a good trade imo

I thought that there are no bird rights with hassan afaik because miami went cheap with their contract with him
even still, I have no idea how you would make the salaries work.

Yeah that's right, forgot about that. Makes a Whiteside centered deal even dumber.
they might as well just trade harden now because there's no way that cast isn't going to be a dysfunctional mess
I just hope Hinkie doesn't do something just because reasons.

Hassan will be a unrestricted free agent this summer. he can walk away from wherever they trade him to. not a deal Morey is going to make.

By KingGondo Go To PostI think there's an underrated chance we'll trade Ibaka.Ryan Anderson for Ibaka. Wouldn't help your defense, but your offense would become even more deadly!
His impact has been minimal this year and I think if we get a good offer for him Presti should think long and hard about it.
Also, his contract is up after next year and I'm not about that max Ibaka life.

It would either require more teams to participate in the trade or that Miami sends like 45 people to houston to make it work
