By Kibner Go To Post18 points for Jrue ~10 minutes. :3Glad Jrue has begun to regain his form. Great guy and I am still ashamed of our fuckery involving that trade
By knux-future Go To PostGlad Jrue has begun to regain his form. Great guy and I am still ashamed of our fuckery involving that tradeThis is him breaking a slump, but he has been pretty good overall this year in his limited minutes. Loses steam in second halves, but you know, getting his stamina back and all. He's probably my favorite player on the team.
e: Like, he would be the only non-AD player I would be sad about losing if traded.
e2: My only real complaint about him as a player that I know he can fix is his over-helping on defense.
By DY_nasty Go To PostTony Snell always seems garabgegdlk on 2k for some reason tho (or was) but yeah when they started to play McBuckets over him despite him being THE worst defender it said a lot.
By Fenderputty Go To PostAll these coach firings and talk of coach firings are making me jealousDo you really want to fire Tank Jesus now?
By DY_nasty Go To PostTony Snell always seems garabgeyeah, pretty damn shame cuz I hoping he can be pondexter good, but all hope is lose
dude have mcdonald part time worker mentality
By knux-future Go To Postso Karl is the next coach to be fired right? He's basically walking dead already. It's just a question of when they decide who/how to replace him for when he's fired.
By giririsss Go To PostHe's basically walking dead already. It's just a question of when they decide who/how to replace him for when he's fired.who would want to enter that hornets' nest tho?

I feel we're in danger of passing PHX and NJ anyway.
Tank Jesus is hilarious btw
By Kibner Go To PostI don't like the offense this team is playing under Gentry. It's a bunch of early 3s and late shot-clock forces after minimal movement. The players aren't mentally capable of running what he wants.
Uh, that's EXACTLY what that school of thought runs. We're really going to pretend that it's a surprise that this is the kind of shit that happens when Steve Nash isn't running this offense?
By knux-future Go To Postso Karl is the next coach to be fired right?
after Philly game I assume
Tho why let him coach the Philly game and likely lose it? That I don't understand.
By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostUh, that's EXACTLY what that school of thought runs. We're really going to pretend that it's a surprise that this is the kind of shit that happens when Steve Nash isn't running this offense? No? Gentry has actually expressed great frustration with poor player movement, ball movement, bad shot selection, and lack of passing.
By knux-future Go To Postwho would want to enter that hornets' nest tho?No one. Which is why it's taking longer to fire him I think. They have no plan other than fire Karl. And a new plan isn't coming together.
I can only assume they'll get to the break and just promote an assistant at this point.
And, for what it's worth, the Pels earlier in the season had some of the most off-ball movement. It has lowered significantly as Evans, Anderson, and Cole got more playtime and focus.

It's one thing to say that. I mean which coach is going to say "I want our guys to be stationary as shit"
But early 3's is totally "7 seconds or less" basketball and the minimal movement is what happens when PnR surrounded by 3 spot up shooters is the offense you employ.
95% of my criticism's of D'Antoni's offensive philosophy revolve around these things. Nash could work magic, he could probe the lane long enough to find openings, he could stretch defenses out because of his deadly shooting, but yea dude. 1-2 passes, minimal movement, that's D'Antoni's shit to a T.
By DY_nasty Go To Postkarl should've been fired before the season startedShould. But he's owed another 10M.
and rondo is fucking unplayable. jesus
Lots of cash to just waste.
But really, when Karl's camp started releasing shit to the press about players he wants gone which clash with the front offices ideas, he had thrown in the towel.
By Kibner Go To PostAnd, for what it's worth, the Pels earlier in the season had some of the most off-ball movement. And I mean fanatic in the delusional devotion sense. There is no sane conversation to be had there.
It's really really really useful when people understand the differences in offensive philosophy. What separates, for example, the dribble drive offense with D'Antoni's. What separates what Pop runs with what Stotts runs, and why LMA is struggling with it 40-50 games in.
D'Antoni's system is the mutherfucking king of early shot clock chucking, and minimal off ball player movement as far as NBA offenses go.

By knux-future Go To Postfuckin lolCongrats... I guess?
By Kabro Go To Postlmao. even lawler is amazed how much of a homer michael smith is.He drags Lawler down considerably. He thinks he knows a lot more than he does and wants everybody to hear about it.
