"They was looking to me to bail them out," Lue said. "And I know I'm not in a position this early in my career, but I wouldn't call a timeout. And I wouldn't even look at them. I was like, ‘Y'all dug this hole, then get out of it.'"
It's the same tactic Jackson often employed, hoping the mutual experience of riding out a rough patch in a game would be something his players could lean on in the future when faced with adversity again.
"I know I ain't nowhere close to Phil, but that's something [from him]," Lue said. "You know, if we're going to play basketball the way we did in the third quarter, then we're not going to be able to beat teams. So I just wanted them guys to understand that and then figure it out. And then we kind of got it back in the fourth quarter."
By etiolation Go To PostWatching Jokic highlights, he's got a lot of Vlade/Marc Gasol in that high post game.If he can learn to play as a 4 and Nurkic keeps getting better/healthy.
That's a promising a front court.
The Grizz went 9/15 from 3 last night as well as dominating inside. Can't beat them when they do that.

Not going to be getting many China votes next all star game.
Like, I understand the concern of looking stupid when everybody else in the league is wearing "celebrate black history month" and then you cut to the Kings game and everyone's wearing a shirt with a monkey on it. But the whole league is going to celebrate LNY at some point this week. Don't get why yesterday is not okay but today is.
Those shirts are dope. I'd be kinda sad if I went to the game and found out I missed out after teh fact.

I still don't know to feel about Earl Watson being promoted to the Suns' head coach. I mean, everyone can tell it's a dumpster fire so he'll be okay for his future prospects even if they win four games for the rest of the season?
By PSYCH! Go To PostDwight's suspended tonight. What'd he do?Dwight Howard has been suspended by the NBA for tonight's game against Miami according to a source. Howard is suspended because he swiped an officials' arm during a confrontation with Washington Wizards center Nene in Saturday's loss.

Vuc + stuff for Horford
No.
Woj's site with a blowout article talking about how the Warriors are the biggest threat to sign KD if he leaves OKC.
No shit.
No shit.
Isn't Al a UFA this offseason, ATL have his bird rights?
Byron is supposedly safe this year like I assumed according to the LA Times. But the final 2 months he may be auditioning to retain his job.

I don't see how Durant helps the Warriors. They're already incredibly efficient offensively and he would kill their depth. Granted they'll have every ring chaser known to man on minimum deals but they've got a group of smart versatile players.

Sure, it would be overkill and they'd be going from 70-ish wins to 75-ish, but they'd absolutely take him and if KD's priority is to win ringzzzzzzz then it makes sense.

That is correct. We're probably going to max him out, but we need a third piece that's at least as good before we can think about contending.
By 33MillionDollarMen Go To PostKds playstyle would slow them down. There would be no fit issues whatsoever.
We iso more than most teams because we have two of the best isolation scorers in the league. KD's a very smart, athletic, skilled all-around player. He can play fast or slow.
He'd make them better.

Replacing Barnes is one thing but it would cost Barnes, Iggy, Barbosa, one of Bogut/Ezili, Clark, McAdoo and maybe Livingston for a better Harrison Barnes.
You guys are nuts, Curry/Klay/Durant/Green is a better squad than the Heat super-trio. All their stats would dip but they'd coast to the Finals like the Heat did.
GS already has a dynamic and explosive offense, KD being an average defender hurts the case of KD to GS a lot, much more so when you factor in the fact that it'd cost them a good amount of depth.
KD to GS actually sounds like a bad idea when you get over the star power of adding KD.

He adores the Oklahoma City community and holds a fondness for the franchise, but Durant is chasing championships, chasing a legacy.Sorry breh.
This limits his choices, leaving the Los Angeles Lakers with little, if any, chance.

Imagine they run their bread and butter Draymond Curry p'n'r. The Defense traps. Curry passes to Draymond at the top of the key. Third guy rotates. Draymond flings it to the corner for an open three. But instead of Harrison Barnes it's Kevin Durant shooting that corner three.
GG Basketball. It's been good watching you for the last 15 years.
Their starting lineup would be nuts but they can't play them for 48 minutes. That bench would be dismantled to add KD, they'd need a few decent role players to take severe pay cuts to sustain the well roundedness of their current roster.

Having 4 All NBA caliber players can make up for a lot of depth shortcomings. The number of minutes they'd play with even just 1 of these players on the court would effectively be zero.
EDIT: Reading the roster moves required. Essentially it's a straight up swap of Barnes and KD while losing Iggy/Bogut/Barbosa.
Iggy would be a big loss but Bogut's only playing 20 minutes a game, and Barbosa is their 4th guard. Nothing they can't make up for wth vet minimum guys.
Durant to GS would literally break the league for the foreseeable future man. They'd win 70+games each year. Easy. Chip every season. It's a better squad than the Heatles as reilo said.

Not just the Heatles. They have a legitimate and perhaps overwhelming claim to the greatest team of all time.

They can remove the three point line.

Well he is better. But he's not just replacing Barnes he's replacing their entire SF position including Iggy and Rush plus losing depth at other positions. The GS bench is great there's a reason the starters can build a lead and stays relatively the same. That probably means less 4th quarters off and more minutes played for a team that's had a great health record. They would be awesome offensively most of the time but they're already great on both ends for 48 minutes. If they're going bring in a big name they should go after Horford.
Eh. People soon forget that Curry is fragile, and others on GS have missed playing time due to injuries. GS's depth is actually really core to their ability to play like this for extended stretches.
And Durant has had his fair share of injury issues lately.
It's a good 4, but it lacks defense and depth.
It's a lot to risk, particularly if they go back 2 back.

he'd be a fukin fool not to sign there
there's always some kind of fukkery you can do to get bench depth--cant even say how many times I thought a capped out super team was done and they pulled some bs to land an average roleplayer to the roster--hell better than average most of the time
and what was it about the warriors before last year? no chip since like 72? keep the foot on the pedal and take everything

Stop trying to trick the universe into gifting KD to DC.
