I love my girlfriend, but it's impossible to watch games at her house due to her poor internet and lack of Root Sports so I haven't seen the last few games >:(
Really good oral history about the Hornets time in OKC: http://www.theneworleansadvocate.com/sports/pelicans/14980397-171/a-tale-of-two-cities-new-orleans-plays-key-role-in-thunders-story
I didn't follow the team then so a lot of this stuff was new to me. Especially the part where Shinn told people that he was going to keep the team there instead of going back to NOLA.

Hrmm, wouldn't mind Joe Johnson coming off the bench for a playoff push to provide a veteran presence ala Paul Pierce.
By KingGondo Go To PostAnd Donovan staggering lineups so one of KD and Russ are in the game at all times. That was a maddening holdover from the Brooks era. Zach Lowe called him out on it just the other day and I guess he read his article and took it to heart. It's idiotic not to stagger your stars.
By reilo Go To PostHrmm, wouldn't mind Joe Johnson coming off the bench for a playoff push to provide a veteran presence ala Paul Pierce. To Billy's credit, he's done far more tinkering and experimentation with lineups than Brooks ever did. Part of it might be necessity since we have so many one-way players outside of KD, Russ, Ibaka, and Adams.

Re: Joe, I'd gladly take him too (bench Dion pls) but I can't imagine he won't go to Cleveland.
I mean we weren't going to win the game but that's one of the most egregious non-calls on a moving screen i've seen in quite a while
By reilo Go To PostAdams isn't a one-way player? Dongo, pls. He's come a long way on offense. TS% up to .619 from .549 last season, good finisher, and his FT% is up to the point where Hack-a-Kiwi doesn't work anymore. Not a *huge* positive on offense yet, but certainly not a negative. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/adamsst01.html
It's another reason the people who want Dion to start over Roberson are operating under a false narrative: Adams is far better on offense than Perk ever was in OKC.
Adams has taken 5 shots beyond 10 feet this season, Dongo pls.
By Freedom = $1.05 Go To PostThis gen's KG. It's maddening, and I like Draymond quite a bit.

By Freedom = $1.05 Go To PostYeah it sucks but like you said we weren't winning anyway. Would have liked to see us hedge and trap Curry down the stretch.

Green's defense to start the 4th on Klay doomed us tbh. Spo should have just played Winslow the entire half.
By reilo Go To PostAdams has taken 5 shots beyond 10 feet this season, Dongo pls.He does what we need him to do on offense. He doesn't gum up the works. In a lineup with Russ, KD, and Ibaka that's a positive.

Plus he's a damn good defender.
By KingGondo Go To PostHe does what we need him to do on offense. He doesn't gum up the works. In a lineup with Russ, KD, and Ibaka that's a positive. But that's not the same as being a two-way player, come on.

RT @WojVerticalNBA Minnesota guard Andre Miller is finalizing a buyout, agent Andy Miller tells @TheVertical. Miller wants to to sign with a playoff contender.
By reilo Go To PostBut that's not the same as being a two-way player, come on.Haha. Probably true. But on this team, I count anyone who isn't a huge negative on one end as a two-way player. At the very least Steve has shown promising signs for the future. Still only 22.
Offense-only team: Kanter, Morrow, Payne, McGary
Defense-only team: Roberson, Collison
Trash-only team: Waiters, Foye, Singler

By PSYCH! Go To PostMore LaVine at PG. Just what Rodeo wanted!Nah, they're going to give Tyus a real look down the stretch here. Figure out if they need to sign a real backup this summer.
This may be interesting to some: https://thecauldron.si.com/what-s-normal-for-the-abnormal-analyzing-nba-players-hearts-351b28d9f571#.b7xkmvw39
There was a study on hearts of NBA players in order to more accurately determine what is "normal" for tall, athletic men. Previous studies to determine baselines for normal in athletes were usually based off soccer players in Europe.

By reilo Go To PostKnicks: 2-13ok fess up, who was it who said the knicks could make the playoffs this year?
It was like I was right all along. They are half a game ahead of the 6th worst record in the league.
By Kabro Go To Postok fess up, who was it who said the knicks could make the playoffs this year?I don't think anyone did except 3sp.
What to you guys think Conley is worth on the open market next season?
I'd LOVE to see him paired with PG or Cousins. Conley is one of the most underrated guys in the league and outside of Memphis' throwback offense he's gonna do numbers.
I don't know how much he'll get with the new cap. He's seen as a very important piece of the team, so he'll probably get paid around what his camp will be excepting.
Bleacher Report NBA @BR_NBAReally now? This is not what I excepted when he kept saying last summer that he wanted to become a better leader...
James Harden reportedly ‘pushed' for Kevin McHale's firing and a Dwight Howard trade http://ble.ac/20XO3rb
By rodeoclown Go To PostI honestly expect Conley get a contract like Reggie Jackson, 4/70, something like that.I honestly think you're going to have to max him if you want him.
Memphis is a tight crew.

By Fenderputty Go To PostDid Kobe try and get Dwight traded? No, he just wanted to kill him.
By vic Go To PostReally now? This is not what I excepted when he kept saying last summer that he wanted to become a better leader…I bet Dwight voted Harden MVP during that player's awards thing.

By vic Go To PostReally now? This is not what I excepted when he kept saying last summer that he wanted to become a better leader…I really don't think it's Dwight this time around. Its really easy to blame him because he's a mental midget and clown, but Harden still had two of the most embarrassing moments in recent playoff history last year.
Its probably Harden 100%
