I don't know if Sac can make the 8th seed, but it is possible that Memphis falls out to the 8th seed or out of contention.
I am curious if the Pelicans can even make that last minute 8th seed push again.

Memphis isn't falling out. Dallas is semi-struggling but I doubt they fall off that hard.
Kings have to catch both Houston and Utah.
Pels are playing d-leaguers so I don't see them pushing.

In wake of ESPN report, it does not appear Heat among the teams pursuing Michael Beasley at the moment.
nah we good
By blackace Go To PostSuns or PhillyI predict some Cavs or Houston fuckery.
I do not really see the point for Memphis when they might blow up after this season. Mike Conley can leave. Marc Gasol is injured, probably through minutes, Randolph is getting there in age and he is not even a regular starter anymore.
They have no young players to develop. They know they don't win. They make the playoffs without their best player for what benefit? Risk more possible injury to your players?
I don't want them to lose but they are in a pretty bad position.
The same can be said for Houston. Houston is losing Howard and they seem close to blowing up too.
AD could definitely use some playoff experience, the Jazz NEED it, Portland needs it, Kings need it too.

Knicks went from the best 3PT defensive team 1/3 into the season to 11th best 2/3 into the season. Talk about a harsh regression.
By DY_nasty Go To PostWait, we signed Guittierez.Houston can sign him to appeal to that Chinese market doe.
Beas is going to Cleveland

The benefit of keeping their pick.
HOLY SHIT
I don't even follow Konex on Twitter, but he just got called out for being a Kobe Stan by somebody I do follow:
Goddammit Konex. Nate doesn't even know him!

Also, Jones is wrong. Shaq would not take the Sixers to the playoffs. Don't think he'd take current Lakers squad to playoffs either. (Probably wouldn't be happy with an old man playing terrible ball taking 25 shots from him a night.) And if prime Shaq was in Sacramento, he'd have forced his way out via trade by now because he saw he wouldn't be able to succeed in the situation.

The five most unstoppable video game characters of my lifetime were probably fictional Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Mark Meenahan from MLB '98, Saul from Team USA in Little League Baseball, Bo Jackson from Tecmo Bowl, Jeremy Roenick from NHL '94 and Tom Chambers from Lakers vs. Celtics.
that Tom Chambers cheese was SO real
Barry Bonds in Tecmo Super Baseball on the SNES was a +200 homer monster. I think the team also had Matt Williams at the time, too, so it got to the point where i had to actually stop smashing HRs if i wanted the games to end sooner.

His release is really quick so it's tougher for people online to get a handle on it with the extra bit of lag, but once you do the game is broken.
By reilo Go To PostKnicks went from the best 3PT defensive team 1/3 into the season to 11th best 2/3 into the season. Talk about a harsh regression.3PT% against is random unless the defending team is elite at defense, in general. 3PA is the better metric to judge 3pt defense by for 90% of teams.
i don't know what will be funnier, Rox missing playoffs or getting gobsmacked by GS or the Spurs.

i for one look forward to a Clips/Portland first round.

I saw this question asked during the games last night and now we have an answer!
Justin Verrier @JustinVerrier
Per Elias, Anthony Davis' 9 points last night were the second-fewest in history following a 55+ night. (Tony Parker had 4 after 55 in '08.)
Good call to whoever pointed out Tony Parker!

By reilo Go To PostNew majority owner? Congrats! It's a weird agreement where Kaplan is getting a third of the franchise with the option to take control when Taylor cashes out, which he's been trying to do for while now. He just didn't want to sell to anybody that would move the team (apparently he Seattle offers, which he declined), so he made sure the Target Center renovations were done and such before moving on.
By reilo Go To PostIt's come to this, Gondo? It's come to this…Our starting five with Roberson is one of the best in the league, if not the best. The numbers back it up.
