By Freedom = $1.05 Go To PostGreen shouldn't ever start in this league againGreen has been awful, but we've surprisingly played better with him on the floor. Hes been shooting like ass for pretty much the entire season but the defense at least respects him.
dont let your Deng hate blind you to the truth
to be fair, paying the tax when you're not chasing a ring is a bit of a stupid thing to do. I guess they've all come to accept that this team will not get better until the offseason, after a first or maybe second round exit
By Freedom = $1.05 Go To Postthen those are terrible ass defenses because he can't shoot if his life depended on it*shrug*
Repeater tax ain't no joke. It's teams aspiring to win a chip that avoid any sort of tax... like the fucking Thunder.

By KingGondo Go To PostWe're paying the tax.Yea, today, after keeping Kanter. Dumb.
By reilo Go To PostYea, today, after keeping Kanter. Dumb."Repeater tax ain't no joke." - You.
Guess which tax we were trying to avoid by trading Harden?
But you weren't paying ANY tax back then. You coulda kept Harden and figured out a way to stay way from the repeater tax. Hell, with the ridiculous jump in cap space, the Thunder would've only paid the tax or a single season. Which, again, NOT A REPEATER TAX.
By PSYCH! Go To PostMan, Kieff might knock Beal out.Kieff is the sort of dude tha t i expect to actually finish the season playing really well, to "prove dem haters wrong".
It's next season that they have to worry about.

I'm not sure how we would have stayed away from the repeater tax (according to pre-cap jump projections) either. Someone smarter than me needs to do the math, but I'm sure it would have been difficult with 3 maxes plus Ibaka's $12.5 million.
The real problem with that trade was the return we got. If we hadn't gotten Adams it would have been a complete disaster, instead of an almost complete disaster.
By PSYCH! Go To Postwaive perkThat wouldn't have solved everything. Would have reduced the tax bill down the road but it still would have been difficult.
Obviously in hindsight we just max Harden and go from there, but nobody saw the huge cap increase coming.
By Smokey Go To PostPsych you ever recieive that bovada check it nahYeah I did, only took a week. Cashed out $400.
Hope you cashed out…
lol I still have like 250 in my bankroll.
By reilo Go To PostClearly the right time to get into the tax was by maxing Kanter.Paying the tax and keeping an asset was better than letting him go and having no cap space to replace him.
Gondo seems like too good of people to get so much presti trolling.
Not that I would mind taking Durant off his hands because lolz presti, but part of me would feel bad. A very small part

By Smokey Go To PostWhat are the odds GSW 3peatsAll comes down to health and if they can keep harrison barnes and develop him a little more (or replace with an upgrade).
We know how in time they are with records and stats
Iggy / Bogut play large roles on that team. There are guys who could replace them. Ezeli seems to always be injured, and Barnes still seems somewhat reluctant to take on a non-stats based specialist role.
They need Barnes to be happy to be Iggy, defense focused while more about being an opportunistic scorer while facilitating on the offensive end. His contract is up this year and that will be one of the biggest tests for GSW repeating.

What bothers me is that we gave up a first for Dion Waiters and we appear to have every intention of keeping him for the long term.
we not making trade?

Ira Winderman @IraHeatBeat 49m49 minutes agolmao there's a video of this too. His agent did not prepare him at all
Brian Roberts, an hour before he was traded by Heat without ever playing, "Obviously it's a privilege to be here and to help this team."
By Bowser Go To PostCongratulations Morey…nobody wants Al Jeff
YOU PLAYED YOURSELF.
By blackace Go To Postnobody wants Al Jeff
Al Jeff was just a salary to match. His contract expires after the season, Morey didn't have to re-sign him.
He could have gotten Hawes on a bargain $6m per deal in a rising cap environment!
By blackace Go To Postso he could have gotten cap space and worthless Hawes?
Sounds like Morey won
Nah. Morey was in a lose-lose, so he just lost, period.

By Bowser Go To PostNah. Morey was in a lose-lose, so he just lost, period.not really... why take cap and Hawes when you can just have cap? If D12 is going to walk and you can't get anything for him it's better for Houston that way than taking other teams' trash
By fertygo Go To Postwe not making trade?
You got Justin Holiday for a 2nd rounder
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo 2m2 minutes ago
New Bulls guard Justin Holiday, traded by Hawks, won’t get his NBA title ring in front of Warriors' crowd since Bulls played there already.
Sad :(

The #sixers are waiving JaKarr Sampson to make room for the Joel Anthony trade, per @WojVerticalNBA. That puts the #sixers roster at 15.
I don't want to live in a world where JaKarr Sampson isn't an NBA player anymore
