The Jazz have reportedly "committed" to trading Trey Burke and there is a "growing sense" around the league that they will accept Houston's offer of Ty Lawson.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Utah is willing to part with Burke to acquire a veteran PG and thus far Lawson is the best they've been offered, though that could change in the next 12 hours. Lawson would get a nice boost as the likely starter with Utah, but Burke would remain a marginal option with Patrick Beverley starting at PG in Houston.
You bitch!

I don't see how that happens since you would have even less 3pt shot with Green gone and the team is already struggling to get those.
It also sucks for Danny Green because he took a discount to stay just to be traded for Horford. Danny Green is such a frustrating player tho in consistency. But almost all 3pt shooting guard is like that.
I don't know how you throw everyone away except for Paul Milsap. Should you not keep Millsap and Horford and just get rid of the underperforming player like Teague and Korver?

Green has been inconsistent his whole life though. Simmons and Anderson are gonna take his job one day soon anyways.

ESPN sources say Sixers indeed have listened to pitches this week but NOT looking to trade any of their bigs unless it's a motherlode offer
Philly saved.
By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostJon gave me a bunch of shit too. Lots of other guys did drive by troll effortsYou won't see me defend Morey this season. Guy has been trash recently.
He is going to need to pull off some sort of coup for Howard if he has any hope of redeeming himself for the dumpster fire he helped fester.
To his credit, unlike my teams GM, Morey at least maintains decent maneuverability that allows him the ability to clean up his messes. Demps came in and just started throwing draft picks at teams and tossing big contracts at injury prone guys like it was Mardi Gras. Making matters worse he dumped what depth he created for Tyreke Evans. Then when all those wells ran dry he started overpaying to keep marginal talent he couldn't replace....So it could still be worse then what Morey did this season.
Green still the best defensive SG tho
even tho Khawi is the one that got all the reputation, I think Danny should've the one that assigned to guard Steph if they have series in playoff

Danny's value comes in that he's smart enough to play in a system, not a liability on either end to the extent he's probably a net positive on both ends, and most importantly he's a role player that knows he's a role player and is happy being one.
Dwight's ability to opt out, D-Mo and TJones free agents.. Morey is going to cop a couple of (more) Ls either now or in the offseason. What is 3SP gloating about? People weren't just giving him shit for criticising Morey's roster lab experiments. He had a whole spiel on offenses and 3-point shooting based on the Sixers and Rockets.

Danny is deceivingly super athlete, and have great motor.. never see someone consistently stop superstar like Lebron or Durant on transition like he does.
Oh shit we trading pau for Koufos and lowering Kangs pick projection?
Maybe I'm ok with this
Koufos is pretty solid and underrated

I am a big fan of Batum but your wrong as all hell here. Batum is a 60 games a season guy, is less of a player than Melo when both are healthy and this contract will be for more for longer than Melo's. Batum is at most under a 25 max FA a 18 mil guy. If he breaks 20 somebody overpaid. You shouldn't give a third option level player a max.

I mean, Batum getting here turned our offense from a bad 90s offense to one of the most modern in the league literally overnight. He signs for the same money as Melo and honestly... I'm really actually okay with him getting the same money as Melo. When Melo inked that deal, there was nowhere for him to go but down. If Batum doesn't improve it all, he's still a huge asset to the team for the next 4-5 years.

Melo is 21, 8 & 4
Batum 14, 6 & 6
Batum plays more consistent defence and fouls less. Both play about the exact same minutes. Batums 4 years younger. Both are putting up VERY average shooting numbers, but batums are slightly better.
It's a toss up. I like batum, but max batum? Tough pill to swallow. But Charlotte are going to have to meet the salary floor somehow. And you'll at least get his really good years in the next contract.
By giririsss Go To PostThat's a lot of words for "i think he's as productive as melo".Individual stats, meh. Melo mastered the art of getting his back in college. You look at our offense last year then look at it this year, all of our top 10 lineups last year compared to those with Batum inserted now? Its the most dramatic change in the league behind Mark Jackson Warriors -> Kerr Warriors.

Hell, the guy makes Kemba Walker look efficient. Gotta pay him.
Batum's D has actually been average at best this year, but I kinda forgive him since he's been playing on one leg.
Without Bosh, the Heat will have to scramble in the short term, which includes Thursday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline. The timing couldn’t be worse for team president Pat Riley, who is already wrestling with decisions on the future of center Hassan Whiteside and point guard Goran Dragic, and their fit with the Heat.
Riley, 70, said he’s “getting too old to win down the road.” The same could be said for Wade, 34, and Bosh, almost 32, who are now chasing former teammate LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers.
This is our team's president, PSYCH, openly admitting that he's being myopic as fuck and wants to win ASAP. Buy your Winslow jersey now before it's too late
It's the owner's job to step in at that point and straighten out the GM. The franchise is bigger than you, Riles.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI don't even want Winslow lolI do think we're getting to the point where he's overrated. He puts up decent overall numbers but his offensive efficiency is pretty ass.
Projects to be a nice defender. But to make him untouchable or give up 4 firsts for him like Boston wanted to? Ehhhh.

Lets imagine for a moment... A Marcus Smart ad Justise Winslow backcourt of the future.
By KingGondo Go To PostI do think we're getting to the point where he's overrated. He puts up decent overall numbers but his offensive efficiency is pretty ass.well, he's 19. I think you give a guy at least a couple of years to develop before being able to make a call on him. That he already has a damn good defensive game means that he can focus on the offensive side more.
Projects to be a nice defender. But to make him untouchable or give up 4 firsts for him like Boston wanted to? Ehhhh.
Not to say that he's going to be the next Kawhi Leonard but he's a year younger than him when he came into the league and his numbers are just a slight bit worse than Kawhi's when comparing their first seasons. Justice is just still a bit of a raw player.
