Gasol and Snell for Gortat and Oubre (throw in Nene and Noah to make salaries work)
Am I worse at fake trades than Bill Simmons?
I wouldn't really give up anything of value lol
I'd involve a team like the Jazz that could use some shooting. Offer Dudley to Utah, Utah gives up pick (2nd or GS 1st?), and Wiz get Pau
None of these guys like Pau or Anderson--these good expirings are worth much. Trying to get a guy like Oubre for a rental is laughable.

Herrington confirmed it first, but I’m also hearing that Detroit thing isn’t real.

And, is so not real that there wasn’t even a phone call about it.

Barry Jackson @flasportsbuzz 3m3 minutes agoBosh playing Kendrick's 'alright' on Snapchat.
As we noted last night, considerable optimism in Bosh camp about his health. Timetable to play remains to be seen
I'm taking this as a good sign.
oh baby. this is getting me all hot and bothered.
"I'm hearing Byron Scott will be gone if Luke Walton wants to come in and take the job next season, that if he wants to do that, that obviously they would move beyond the Byron Scott era and bring in Luke Walton."
"Luke Walton, however, as much as he loves the Lakers and California, may not find that to be an attractive job unless they position themselves to acquire somebody like a Ben Simmons or a high pick. That is what I have heard."
By Dipro Go To PostLuke Walton is not the answer.neither is byron scott's draconian coaching style.
i'll take an up and coming coach instead, thank you very much.
Bosh news looking good now. Hope he's fine and that this was just everyone taking extreme caution with his condition.
By Kabro Go To Postneither is byron scott's draconian coaching style.Having a coach that you can watch develop along with the team can be fun, but very frustrating.

It's better than watching our coach not develop while also stalling the development of our young players. I'ts not the Lakers style, but I would be happy with a relative unknown from college.

I'm told Heat and Celtics discussed a Hassan Whiteside trade, but Miami asked for the 2016 Brooklyn 1st round pick in return

By Bowser Go To Postmjlaugh.gifSpeaking of the Celtics, shouldn't they be more active trying to acquire the piece that they are missing?

Also, if the heat are taking calls on Hassan then they must be okay with Bosh's health status. I don't see a scenario where they would trade him if they though Bosh was done for the season
By Koko Go To PostSpeaking of the Celtics, shouldn't they be more active trying to acquire the piece that they are missing?nobody wants their "talent" for their star tho. Sans the Brooklyn pick, the things they have to trade w/o ending up bad for a star just isn't appealing to people. DY gets trolled about the 6 picks doe stuff but this ignores how mediocre all those picks are. Boston is a team full of role players being coached up by one of the best coaches in the league. Bunch of overachievers who probably wouldn't be as good without Stephens and just okay picks. Most teams can go elswhere and get better value....Ainge is going to have to catch someone extra desperate with the alternative being they lose a guy for nothing...and even then.

Yep. The 4 1st round picks makes everyone troll MJ, but IIRC, it didn't include the 2016 Nets pick, which left CHA with:
Boston 2015 pick #1 (16)
Boston 2015 pick #2 (28)
Boston 2016 pick (currently 23)
Dallas 2016 pick (currently 19)
Whoop-de-fucking-do
No one wants those mid-to-late round picks, especially in what's looking like a down draft class this year.
Morey might take a few of those picks for Howard, but sounds like Ainge is out on Dwight. Cleveland isn't giving up on Love, Sacto isn't giving up on Cousins, and Ainge won't give up any BKN picks for Horford, so he's kinda shit out of luck.
By Koko Go To PostSpeaking of the Celtics, shouldn't they be more active trying to acquire the piece that they are missing? They should and shouldn't
There's no real difference maker thats available this trade deadline.
The only long shot is KD. If They offered all the nets picks, smart, and one oftheir own. some package like that. But i still get the feeling OKC would tell them to sod off, they'll take their chances.
K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop 3h3 hours ago
As of now, Bulls haven't budged from seeking player AND first-round pick in any Taj Gibson talks.
lmao. Taj aint worth it.

Something like this is much more valuable than 90% of ESPN's trade chatter articles and columns and videos. Or really most of what they post. Follow Woj and Stein and Lowe (Lowe really for the snark, he doesn't break much in the way of news stories), but there's not much other value.
What's nuts to me is that Thibs has been running triangle sets for a significant chunk of his half court offense for years and yet no one in Chicago noticed.

Minnesota hasn't been actively searching for a trade for point guard Ricky Rubio this week, but that is likely to change this summer, league sources told The Vertical.Woj
Minnesota may start canvassing the market for a better shooting point guard to pair with young stars Karl Anthony-Towns and Andrew Wiggins. One NBA coach who has long been enamored with Rubio, league sources said: Milwaukee's Jason Kidd. The New York Knicks' desire to find a point guard could lead them to Rubio, too.

I'd much rather get a haul like Rozier, Nance, RHJ and Jerian Grant than just Kaminsky. Even if Rozier and/or more bust, you got a much better shot at a contributor with 4 mid/late firsts than 1 late lotto pick in most drafts.
It's even funnier if it's true MJ snatched Frank not because he liked him but to leverage a trade with Boston when Boston was looking at Winslow the whole time lol.
When Fisher got Fired I talked a lot about how running this offense correctly should mean you're getting 15-20 half court points that are straight layups every game. Whether off lobs, back door cuts, or other sequences in the offense. Watching this video and how many times the Bulls were getting nearly uncontested layups over and over and over again using the Triangle just brings that home.
I do have a strong feeling that there are a lot of other really good coaches that were using tons of Triangle and no one noticed, so perhaps Phil has a bigger pool of candidates to draw from if he wants to replace Rambis with a Triangle saavy coach.

At the end of the day they're all solid rotation players, nothing more. For a team like CLT who has enough solid rotation players on manageable deals (Zeller, Lin, Lamb, Hawes, etc), adding another 3 to the mix wasn't going to do anything. I'm much happier with getting a guy like Lee at the trade deadline.
And I don't believe that whole taking Frank because MJ thought Boston wanted him thing for a minute.
By PSYCH! Go To PostWojYeah, they've been saying that about ricky for a week or so.
His shooting woes are truly stifling. But their offense is infinitely better with him on the floor.
The thing that would be more annoying is that he's constantly injured.

By etiolation Go To PostI don't see Lavine as a PG, but Minny seems hell bent on it.The premise is to get one that can shoot to help space. Lavine is a below league average shooter. I don't think they see the future as LaVine at pg. But they lack other real options at backup. Or so it seems to me.

Report: Dwight Howard and James Harden tried to get the other traded from Rockets in 2013reilo stlil collecting dividends years later.
"Fran Blinebury of NBA.com (hat tip: reddit user Longh0rns):
Howard and Harden have been an oil-and-water mix since they came together for the 2012-13 season. It was only days after Damian Lillard‘s 3-point dagger eliminated them in the first round of their first playoff series together when both were sending out messages and maneuvering to get the other one traded.
Harden is a difficult teammate to play with, dominating the ball and so much of every shot clock and Howard too often felt ignored."

RT @sam_amick Interesting dynamic in Ben McLemore's situation: there's a sense Kings front office is reluctant to move him, & that coach George Karl isn't
RT @sam_amick Yet since no one expects Karl to remain coach past this summer, be interesting to see how Sac handles situation before 3 pm ET Thur deadline
Just fire him already.
