By Hitch Go To PostKojima Studios can't blame Konami for pushing the game out the door. They took 5 years and tens of millions of dollars to build the skeleton of a great game, fuck knows how long they wanted to flesh it out properly.
But then its not fair to bash on the game or Kojima if Konami forced it out of the womb. The game is definitely not complete. Most fans would have waited longer.

Why isn't it? They had a huge budget, and they blew it. Not in game development, movie making or anything will you just have an unlimited budget, every developer works under budgets.
By Killer7 Go To PostWould've been interesting. The 2nd act has been poor.
I do miss the style of the old MGS games.
Act 2 is totally, totally barebones and what is there just doesn't work. A poor end to the MGS saga (and his is coming from a fanboy)
By Xpike Go To Postmgsv shouldve been a bunch of ground zeroes style enviroments all around the worldWhen Kojima was teasing the game as Project Ogre on Twitter circa 2012, he said he was inspired by Breaking Bad and the possibility of releasing a game in an episodic form. If he had actually done that, and just released 5 Ground Zeroes-type games over the 4 or 5 years of development, he would've been lauded (Assuming they priced like most other episodic games). Sure, a lot of people would've hated the formate, but no-one would be disappointed by an underdeveloped open-world.
what a waste of potential
By Baconsaurus Go To PostIt's February.

By Zabojnik Go To PostJorginho is the best italian player. And he's Brazilian. Imagine if Dunga calls him up.
By Eike Go To PostI do not think you have to many of those repeat missions, you can just unlock the next story missions by completing side ops.Have been doing this to try and stay away from replying the same missions (but seen on some guides I need to complete ALL the main missions (including replays) to get the real ending.
Just watch Beasts of No Nation instead. Kinda fits with the game.
Think i'll just keep doing what I can and then youtube the other ending lol. Want to clear up the backlog of games, before Street Fighter 5.
By Woodenpapangus Go To PostWhy isn't it? They had a huge budget, and they blew it. Not in game development, movie making or anything will you just have an unlimited budget, every developer works under budgets. They created a brand new engine and the general cycle for the next MGS was roughly 3-4 years. Yes it was taking longer, but creating a new engine had something to with it surely. The monetized motherbase stuff must have been shoehorned by Konami themselves, who knows what went down in those offices.
Nobody is saying they should have unlimited budgets, it just is so frustrating because there was so much potential with this game. And it started off with a great intro mission too.

regarding MGSV, I can't believe its a 93 MC, and recently catching up on gianbombcast, listening to those guys basically deep-throating the game is just
its really scummy how konami started to add in the scum f2p FOB shit after launch so that no review site would comment on it at launch.
every item they added is more or less unobtainable without paying

Lots of developers still create their own engines and it should be no excuse, that they were out hyping it at conferences doesn't change that. They had a huge team still and a big budget.
It is frustrating, I even really liked the game but could see it having been so much more. Konami are not blameless, but Kojima certainly isn't either. It's clear that Konami at some point said fuck it, no more of this bullshit and that sucks. But hey what are you going to do, they have been terrible shit cunts for the last 10 years, so nothing new there.

I still really like MGSV, and have no problem with what GB said. IIRC they did acknowledge how half finished it felt, but the core gameplay was great. Which I really do think it is, I played it it for about 40 hours and loved it, that is more than I can say about most games.

Happy b-day Bacon!
Miiiilaaaaaan! Fuck Inter, so great to beat those idiotic whiny cunts! I wanted more goals, but 3-0 is good enough.
The whole team fought as hell, but Alex, Romagnoli (finally!) and Kucka were the best for me. Now please beat Palermo as well.

I wanna go to sleep but instead I'm dreaming of boobies. Where's that gif you guys posted the other day?
Kojima can retire, he got his wish and got a shout out in a Hollywood movie, a Star Wars one no less.
He can go to the island now and rip in piece.
