Fair play, they have to realise that they are from Liverpool, not from London.
By Oddinho Go To Posthttp://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-fc-consider-urgent-review-10855258I saw on Twitter that the ticket price rises only bring in an extra £2m every year. What's the point of alienating your match-going fanbase for that money?

You get the feeling they underestimated the effect that amount of money has on the match-going Liverpool fans and are learning the hard way what kind of fans the club has.
As for 2m per year, I genuinely don't know how much that matters to them, but I would bet that it's just one piece of their plan to increase revenue over time and they are keen to stick with their strategy. 2m on the main stand, 2m on Anfield Road, 2m on the Kop, and a few million on corporate facilities as well does add up, just like each individual silly sponsorship and partnership deal. In the end though it's the media and corporate side that really brings in the cash, and the owners recognize this. I mean several years back they mentioned how a bigger stadium isn't THAT important for us, going forward match day revenue will make up a smaller and smaller portion of income.
I think the main stand expansion is a really exciting event for Liverpool. I would hate to see its first official unveiling met with jeers. Hopefully they can work something out that the fans can get on board with.

By Maybe Employed José Go To PostIt kind of blows me away when Americans watch a football match and comment on that fact that there's no ads for 45 minutes. Two classmates (the most annoying mind you) once were complaining about how they couldn't understand why the clock went to 90 mins as opposed to counting down, and that they that they didn't like the two half format. These were obviously your typical mind numbing criticism you might here from Americans. If you don't like the game, that's fine, just don't make asinine complaints.
As if there's supposed to be ads or some shit?

By Xpike Go To Postimagine if football had breaks every foul and out of play ball to make the correct callthis is what happens when a sport sells out AND adopts technology. Saint Platini was always right
imagine football had cheerleaders on the sidelines during play
imagine there were breaks everytime the manager needed to change tactics
what a game it would become

those quotes though looooooooool. Martinez truly is the Meier of the football world.

and has more scudetti than Totti.
Watch as Cleverley leans to sideways passing again next match and flops about.
