not a huge fan of Simmons but assuming he has more control, this should be a better representation of Simmons than NBACountdown.

Seriously basketball has too many awesome personalities for us to have to bear witness to the filth on ESPN

I think he's got good philosophies behind him. Even if i get tired of HIS schtick, he does seem to represent a better version of the media than ESPN produces.

espn aus seemed pretty good about playing the half time shows, often the actual pregame half hour too (for espn countdown)

they never wanted to pay for tnt's much better pre or post game feed tho ur right :cry:

because why wouldnt you want to watch some atp tennis replays right after a big basketball game instead of chuck and kenny

ESPN usually show countdown here so I can avoid this too.

When the TNT games were on One they'd show the pre game and half time. League pass doesn't show them though, but does have some Inside a The NBA highlights.

Yeah, my beef isn't with ESPN. it's League pass.

I don't have ESPN year round (only for rugby season).

So i watch 99% of my games on league pass, and they don't have non-NBA produced pre/mid/post game shows. So if TNT is doing the game, then all i'll get is the in game commentary. nothing more.

I assume it's a digital rights issue, and that it will potentially be solved in the upcoming TV rights deal.

oic never bothered with league pass since the nfl was shaming them by offering theirs for free (until this year :cry:) so it felt like a suckers game to pay for it

espn aus (which we get as part of our sky tv package here in nz) is finally adding espn2 tho lol so im hoping for some more tnt action maybe

The chemistry on set was horrible. The two biggest culprits are Simmons and Steele...Simmons was really whiny a lot, but I think Sage Steele just got fed up with that shit lol

I think zachs stuff is far too analytical to be done on the fly. too researched.

I wouldn't mind seeing him with a weekly segment though. Only as long as it didn't interfere with his grantland stuff though. Cause he's awesome.

I can only imagine the droves of typical ESPN viewers turning off when he comes on. Some things just aren't made for mass consumption on TV
