I just ran over a cat. I'm pretty sure it was a suicide tho

I turned a corner and I swear this motherfucker was already airborne and locked in one my front passenger tire
I'm laughing so that I don't have to feel bad but shit just ruined my whole night.

Yeah, i've hit a cat before. Thing did more damage to my car than i did to it. It got up and walked away.
That said, Cats have a habbit of going to a familar place to die apparently.
Black cat, late at night. not my fault.

please make an effort to find the owner (if there was one). nothing sucks more than searching for your cat for weeks.

there is no neighbourhood and it was a stray we took in, no keeping that guy in if he doesn't want to.
This is why I never let my cat roam outdoors and come in whenever he wants...not that I would have any way of doing that since I don't have a backyard.
But when he's gone missing, as well as my dog, the only thing I envision is seeing their dead body on the road.

I don't mean it offensively, even though it's a fairly "aggressive" stance.please make an effort to find the owner (if there was one). nothing sucks more than searching for your cat for weeks. Then don't let them run around the neighbourhood.

I just know many people / friends who do and apart from all the, it's bad for the surrounding wildlife, there's this shit they have to deal with. And so does the person who hit the cat.
I've seen many go through the "OH MAH GAWD my cat hasn't come back in x days, is it dead?!?!?!". Answer usually is, Yes. :|

I feel like Japan is one great big monument to why that's a bad idea. Great swarming armadas of strays everywhere at night. Some of them are probably from lines that have been stray for centuries. My cat never gets more than 2 metres from my front door. And I live in an apartment.
