Nah. I was in there longer than I wanted with PSVR anyway. Gonna try Vive if I can make it out that way tomorrow .
I get the impression that EVE isn't very good, but its the only game out right now that isn't essentially demo-reel proof of concept stuff
USA people: Best Buy has done away with their shitty, shitty pre-order kiosk thingys in the gaming section. You can now only pre-order games that they have cards for which is like ten at the location I was just at.
All the rest are handled online where you have to pay the full amount upfront with limited in store pickup.
I just learned this the hard way just now. No one knew what they were doing and it took multiple phone calls to other stores for them to figure it out and give me an answer. That's an hour I'll never get back.
Amazon stays winning.

hopefully they put all that talent into something that's a little more replayable moving forward---just too much talent for what ends up being a rental for most people

Yeah faze is garbo at 2K. Surprising really. Ph33 is about 10x better.
Also, I think Pokemon birthed my disdain for turn based RPGs.

New Hitman episode soon I think
fuuuck. Really don't want to play it on console, but the PC isn't up to the task. Might just give it a complete miss until i get a new build sorted.

By Hitch Go To PostPlaying Hitman while a backseat gamer watches is a nightmare
I've actually found that watching pro stealth gamers play these games is really fun. Although you can still see the trial and error gameplay exists because the player just "kind of knows" exactly what everyones path is
it's a real issue to be honest, a lot of stealth games just haven't figured out how to make knowing the enemy path pattern any kind of fun
backseat gamers in general can fuck off
there's a reason you're spectating instead of playing, stfu and just watch

By diehard Go To PostI'll never understand why people are into those job simulators.
Something like Eurotruck is actually weirdly enjoyable. It's just a nice relaxing experience. But so many of them are pure trash as well.

The European simulators feel a little more earnest.
Went to Best Buy and took a look at the Samsung K9000, Vizio P65, LG OledB65, and the Sony 930D.
Man that OLED was definitely nice, but that priceee. The Sony was real nice, and one I haven't considered before. Going to read into the processing on the Samsung and Sony, and that could be the difference maker. With 4k content a little light, the upscaling and processing of sub 4k content will be crucial.

yeah at that price I might as well get a high quality 75 inch 4k LED
pretty sure you can get a KS9000 75 inch for around 5k, if not now then def on black friday

But then on the flip its like...if I'm gonna pay that amount ,I may as well get the best/newest tech available, and that's OLED.
That Sony 930D looked nice too though.

does a 65 inch OLED look better than a 75 high quality LED idk

That is really not much of a job simulator at all.
I'm not hugely into it either (is anyone I wonder), but it's cool for an hour or two. Jorji Costava is a legend.
Has anybody played INSIDE? I got it over the weekend, and I'm liking it. Wasn't a fan of LIMBO, but this is clicking a lot more for me. No instructions or prompts, it just drops you in. The puzzles make you stop, but the game does a good job of giving you some indicators without directly throwing it in your face. And the game seems weird af. I have no clue what's going on except that when I goof dudes in the shadows are coming for me, or a dog gets loose and literally snaps my neck.
Since getting a 2 week punt from GAF, I've played more than I have in some time.

The sense of humor, setting and soundtrack. Dead Rising 3 was like the bad westernization of a game that was basically a Japanese take on a Western theme like Lost Planet which gave it a unique identity. Dead Rising 3 captured none of that. It included the wacky weapons and settings but stuck them in a highly contrasting grim, smokey, burnt out setting. Which is weird because the same dev did DR2 and I thought that was a decent attempt at following up what DR1 did.

I want to ask you guys in here that play CS:Go specifically something. It's for Overwatch but CS:Go is kind of where I know the low sensitivity mouse stuff to come from.
I've always played high sensitivity. Rocket jumping in TF2 pretty much requires it and there's very little headshot oppurtunities and most of my online gaming in recent years has been MMORPGs that require quick mouse movement. I've been trying to adjust to playing on lower sensitivity for Overwatch since I'm told it's better at higher levels for getting the shots you need. One of the guys I watched the video of was saying he centers his mouse on basically every turn of a major open area so he has free movement right at the start.
So should I do that basically every time towards the general area that I think the enemy team is coming? Should I be lifting my mouse up to do that? I can't imagine how else I would do it.

By data Go To PostI want to ask you guys in here that play CS:Go specifically something. It's for Overwatch but CS:Go is kind of where I know the low sensitivity mouse stuff to come from. Most people who play CS seriously have larger mouse pads like these and the general guideline I have used is to have your sensitivity be where you can do a complete 180 degree turn if you go from one end of the mouse pad to the other. So yeah, thats pretty low and means you have to recenter your mouse if you running out of room on your mouse pad. You just get used to lifting your mouse after doing major movements of it.

For Overwatch you probably want a little higher sensitivity than CS because you have to do more aiming in more directions. There are characters who fly around and can dash past you while in CS you know where everyone can and just have to move your mouse from one spot to another to clear them out.

Speaking of mousepads, my favorites have been from a company called Artisan ever since they debuted at QuakeCon a few years ago. Cloth mousepads that just glide. A little expensive for such things, though. Less poor English on their site since last time I visited.
If someone does pick one up, beware before you get the soft version. It is soft enough that the pressure of your hand resting on the pad makes a big enough indention to cause the mouse to ever so slightly slide a tiny bit and cause unwanted cursor movement. I usually stick with their mid softness for that reason.

Surprised that Bill Walton was a huge supporter of EVO this weekend, and seemingly competitive gaming of all kinds. Normally people as old as him are the ones all "lol gamers"
I don't think low sens works in Overwatch. You have to worry about Pharahs in the sky, Tracers blinking around everywhere and the game is just faster in general with much more going on. I imagine you'll be lifting your mouse a lot with low sens

Gravity Rush 2 out on Dec 2. Still need to get around to finishing the ps4 version of the first one.
Thought the first outstayed its welcome a fair bit unfortunately. Hopefully they make the world of the second one a nicer, more interesting place to be. Fine tune the flight controls as well.
