TMNT has revived that ol' chestnut of 'you shouldn't blindly blame the devs or call them lazy because you don't know... but the publisher is evil and they clearly ruined it'
I picked up Persona 3 Portable in the last flash sale for $5. I'm surprised at just how much Persona 4 Golden took from it. Like, the audio cues and so many elements are exactly the same. This is kind of a welcome surprise in a way, I was expecting more of a downgraded experience.
I have no problem with normal Platinum defenders. The ones who do my nut in are the ones who suggest that they should be put in charge of every single franchise that has lost its way.
Looking forward to putting more time into Doom tomorrow.

Thoughts on podcasts
1- the Bombast is very good again
2- the Beastcast is better though
3- even though Alex is annoying as fuck, and Austin goes on about academia too much
4- Jim Trinca is dragging the Videogamer podcast further down every week
5- Daft Souls is really good, and it's notable that the tone doesn't change when they have a woman on
6- Idle Thumbs has improved ten fold since Firewatch came out. They have their enthusiasm back, it had become a plodding, cynical, pessimistic, negative mess tbh
