By Smokey Go To Posti thought the intro to the game was pretty dope too. with the music and your guy not giving af what these other people have to saylol yeah, best part was when he smashed the video thingy of the guy who wanted to talk to him.
you just wake up, dude gets the suit, and goes HAM with no fuks to give

i chose med galaxy as well to start off. is there am advantage to creating your own?
don't even know my playing style tbh
this is my first 4x game, but i liked it. somebody told me it's not your traditional 4x game tho?

I finished Doom.
It's weird that Doom exists. It's not weird that a new Doom exists. It's weird that this Doom in particular exists. It's such a weird thing to exist in 2016. It's got tons of weapons that you always have access to, it's got first person platforming, it's got large, sprawling maps that aren't 'open world', it barely changes anything about the original DOOM ideas or character art from the Doomguy to the demons, and it's very controller unfriendly due to how fast it is with how often you're changing weapons.
It's weird that it exists. I like it. But it's like I wonder what the focus testing for this thing was like.

Sorry if it' s been talked about a bunch here, does anyone here play R6 Siege on PC? If so is there still a community and is hacking limited?
I think I like this game enough to want to try it on 2 different platforms...

Trying The Witcher 3 for the last time. I always get like 3 hrs in and put it down. Restarted it today just to see if this mf will click. I'm playing it with X1 controller and it feels kind if janky tbh. The combat doesn't feel all that smooth. I want to give it a legit shot because if all of the content that's out there for the game, plus the expansion that's about to hit. Gonna try and stick it out, maybe switch to KB&M, and if it don't work this time fuk it.
Think i'm just going to move my tv near my computer desk and play non-shooters on my PC through that. Need to figure out a HDMI switch that isn't some input lag bullshit though

I'm actually thinking of doing the same. I moved my PC desk out into the living area, and it's maybe 4 feet from my TV. Would be going from 1440/144hz/gysnc -> 1080p/60hz tho and ...meh
also how accurate is this with the release of doom

How did you pull this off, I've wanted to do something similar but don't know how to fit a PC setup in a living room
Steam Link is always an option, though I do not know what the delay would be like if you tried running it through wireless. I don't imagine it would be any worse than doing in-home streaming through Steam.
The maps in Doom get so crazy that I almost never look at them because they're too deep and winding.
I think I only got lost once in the game though. Maybe twice?

we don't have a dining room table in the designated area in the apartment, so i'm set up there. the way the living room is setup, the TV is only a few feet away from the desk.
By Smokey Go To Postwe don't have a dining room table in the designated area in the apartment, so i'm set up there. the way the living room is setup, the TV is only a few feet away from the desk.yeah I've tried making it work without making my living room look excessively nerds or out of place I think I'd have to drastically change the angles of everything
My issue is that I've got my tv set up and my computer set up in my bedroom. And I either want to get rid of my TV and move everything to my PC desk and run everything through that though I really don't want to deal with setting up the sound for that. Or putting the TV over by my desk and finding a good balance that it's easily accessible through my computer chair. I already got rid of the recliner because I just don't have room for it.
I really should just buy a nice monitor and be done with it.

Reviews are important because critics can help games find an audience.
They just gotta get actual gamers to write them.

I don't think that's true anymore. People look to reviews to confirm their choices . Not to inform themselves about products they aren't aware of.

How do you use them? You actively seek out reviews of games you aren't already even slightly interested in?
nah Retro is right though, thats why people created a petition to remove a review from Uncharted 4. that shit is all fanboy war stuff, and it gets these sites clicks which is what matters.

Overclock.net forums, tftcentral.co.uk, and pcmonitors.info seem to be good places to look at for monitor reviews.

Well I didn't even mean it in a negative way like that. Honestly I think those people are a vocal minority
I just meant that people aren't really browsing review sites reading reviews for games they've never heard of.
I think the most common experience is just looking up reviews prior to making purchases. Like say I'm interested in Doom, let me read a few reviews to make sure it's something I'll like before pulling the trigger.
I didn't read reviews at all during the ps2 era
for some reason at the start of last gen i started caring
i don't care for them at all anymore, I can usually tell from gameplay if I'll like a game, I usually check impressions to see what end game stuff/replay is like.
but what I'm trying to say is that the death of the demo is worst thing to ever happen to the videogames industry.

After I buy a game I give zero fucks about a review
edit: just read your other post... yeah I use reviews in that way to make sure it's a game I want. That's also why I post here too and talk with people who have games I am interested in or became interested in
By Kabro Go To PostWow. Already seeing sub $400 titans on CL. Holla at your boy, smokey.
actually just got this response from other forum, when I told him $500.
That's a great price. Extremely interested. Can I get back to you by the end of the day?
Benches come out tomorrow so I feel like I gotta decide to do it by end of day before those hit, and the value really tanks. We'll see tho.
Might reconsider SLI to be honest if second hand falls that much
the games where you need the power will likely draw enough from the second card to put it over a 1080 pretty easy and the games that don't probably include fukkery like Quantum Break Windows 10

Done with SLI.
I played Witcher 3 on Ultra damn near 8 hours yesterday, and outside of the initial 30 minutes, with no performance overlay on. I think I was around the 50ish fps area, and everything was still smooth thanks to based gysnc. With SLI I have the overlay on almost the entire time just to make sure both cards utilization is at 90%+.

I don't like SLI because it is just yet more noise and I'm sensitive to micro-stutter and hate the driver/game-support meta-game that goes with good SLI support for games. I quit getting AMD cards over constant driver issues and SLI seems like more of the same.
Granted, AMD's driver teams could have gotten better over the last four years.

More like I spent $2,000+ on GPUs this ish better be working properly.
It quickly becomes apparent with SLI if something is not right when you are playing a game. Then you open up that overlay and it begins.

im getting tired of nvidia cutting the legs out from the chair on the regular this point too though
The 970 to 980ti and Titan x represented good value and power tiers. The 1080 seems to only exist for the sake of destroying an entire line of GPU's. I understand they want to make money but fuck.

I mean, isn't the only reason the 1080 can exist is because the new manufacturing process is viable for mass production now? The jumps between the 600 series and now have been relatively small because of physical manufacturing limitations.
