By reilo Go To PostThere was a crazy amount of that in there. It was the terrible voice-acting and the cheesy ass dialog. Adam Jensen's VA is woat-tier.
Lip syncing was kinda terrible too
By Kibner Go To PostI don't think it is part of the sale, but Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky was real fun. The pacing was formulaic (go to town, complete missions while advancing story to get to next town, repeat) but I enjoyed playing it a lot. There wasn't a "good" character that I absolutely hated, which is a big step up from most RPGS I've played.
E: it is also smaller in scope than most. It's mainly about two teenagers striking out into the world in an effort to become independent. Along the way, they uncover a big conspiracy that threatens the city-states in their region.
E2: it is also relatively short for the genre. A first play-through will typically clock in between 40-50 hours. That is about as long as my attention span can last for a single player story game, so it was perfect for me.
I am waiting for Trail of the Sky to go on sale. I heard some the musics and was like yo, I need this in my life.
Next game I am going to get is Grim Dawn.
By DY_nasty Go To Postbtw, i'm thinking of making an overwatch threadaint even had the chance to play yet, blizzard hates us eu kids

I've never owned an Uncharted game. Just always rented them and beat them over the weekend and went, 'eh ok'

It usually goes down to 10 every summer/holiday sale, and its sequel will probably drop to 20. So that's both games for 30 rather than 50.
They're worth it at full though. Trails in the Sky is the game that revived my interest in JRPGs. Love the series to death and glad to see it not only being brought to the west now, but being pretty well received by those who give it a chance.

doom > uncharted
That's dope. It was fun playing through the Wolfenstein 3D levels in The New Order.

I'm also playing through FF9 right now and I like the playable characters there, too, but wish they had more development.

On Steam? Not to my knowledge. I've been looking even outside of the platform for something that scratches the same itch.
but in the end I just stick with this series. If you're interested in I'd try playing the sequels after some time passes. The sequel "Second Chapter" is available on steam now and we're getting the following game "The 3rd" sometime early next year. Then there's the Cold Steel games on PS3/Vita if you have access to one of those.
If you have any other platforms like 3DS or are open to emulation, Dragon Quest, Lunar 1+2(Heard rumors these might be coming to Steam) and the Suikoden series might be the next things you give a shot. They also spend alot of time developing their world and characters, albeit not quite to the extent of the Trails games, for better or worse
I do have a 3ds and loved the dragon quest game on the ps2 (7 I think? ). I'll have to check out those other titles. I do already have Xenoblade and need to beat it instead of doing side quests.
E: I also have the second Trails game but haven't played it, yet

The PS2 Dragon Quest was 8 and is actually getting a re-release on 3DS later this year I believe. I don't have one but I'll probably pick one up for that
Man that Alienation is too damn good. I absolutely love games with loot whoreing and twin stick shooters. Its amazing. Now if only there was a squad i could run with and life would be amazing. Havent played the Division in a week. I miss it lol.
By DY_nasty Go To PostLike
this is why I don't fuck with Ubisoft. I've never disliked a gaming company more. At least EA intends for its products to function as intended 3 weeks after release.
I hold copyright on Ubisoft hate. You can pay me in pictures of Ubisoft upper management in jerricurls

Throws them hordes at the worse times. Tho I got a launcher that does 4x anything I had for awhile
It's still weird to me that the new Hitman is good after Absolution. Especially with the initial reaction to them going on an episodic format.

You don't just drag ass on something like this for a decade then churn out a decent project. Its gonna be fat megaman all over again.

While not a rpg game...check out the Danganronpa series...shit is legit.

I craved in and bought Hitman. Main menu says I disconnected, oh well, I just hit connect and it worked. After 10 seconds of gameplay, a cutscene appeared. After that it booted me out to the main menu again saying it was disconnected.... Hmmm.
Well after that I have not had any disconnects, but still quite annoying. Finished all the training, and then started the Paris mission. Really overwhelming how much shit and ways to do everything, truly feels like a real Hitman just even bigger and better than before. But after about an hour it crashed and I got angry and could not bother continuing, seems like there's a really cool game hidden in there though.

DEHR was so good, I don't have to watch shit to get myself hyped for MD. Was never any question that I'd buy it on release.
Jensen can't be WOAT because David Hayter is the WOAT and has been doing that try-hard tough guy voice for longer
Hayter's voice is also capable of basic fluctuation in his tone and ability to convey emotion. Jensen's VA is just a series of monotone syllables.
By Lambda Go To PostKOF 14 looks super fun, saw a tournament in Japan, i'm ok with the graphicsgraphics still aren't great, but its far better than the initial reveal. at the end of the day it doesn't matter. i can't imagine theres a single person that plays fighting games for graphics.
Hopefully makes its way to PC. I heard KOFXIII did well
been playing destiny all day thinking of year 3/destiny 2 and overwatch

Real close to buying it. Has the Diablo thing going for it, but I'm watching a dude go through his resources, abilities, etc and game looks like a beast.
Doom pre-bought on Steam. At the very worst, it'll provide me with something to do while I wait for Overwatch's final release and the new ATS dlc. I enjoyed what I saw of the single player stuff as I liked both original Doom and Doom 3 and it seems to blur the line in ways that appeal to me.
I'm just really fucking bored right now and don't have much to play

Damn, Uncharted 2 really holds up. From the urban warfare all the way through to the end it's phenomenal.
