By P S Y C H Go To PostI wasn't expecting to like it so much as I've played so much of the series but it was so damn refreshing to play such a light hearted adventure with fun gameplay. I'm on my 3rd playthrough. First game for the PS4 I've wanted to Platinum. That's great to hear. I'll definitely be picking it up sooner or later. Birthday is in June so probably then.
It's a very enjoyable experience. At the very least, it's a different feeling game than anything you've probably played recently since they don't make those kinds of games anymore.
Best looking graphics of the year so far for me as well.

Quantum Break is boring as fuck. You're basically a god, i cant do this anymore. I think training dummies in fighting games put up more of a challenge
i really feel bad for anyone that paid for this

i was bored stiff when i tested PS VR at Lisbon Games Week
i did the shark cage thing and it's just a game, at no point you feel immersed unless you're really force yourself to
think of VR as hypnosis, it only works if you want it to work

finally got my tax return, damn
i wanna buy cyber sleuth on vita (don't have regular access to a ps4), but my brain is trying to tell me "no" because of that $40 price tag

The two sequels to Shadowrun Returns are quite a bit better than Shadowrun Returns itself. So if you don't plan to play all of them, just go with dragonfall which should be cheap.
Do you judge all meat on the cheapest ground beef you can find in your supermarket?
Maybe it's just not for you, that's fine. No idea why people are so eager to write it off and tell everyone they are wrong, no hypnosis needed for me, it was very impressive and I can't wait to see what we will get out of it in 5 years from now. However PS4 struggles to even render normal games to a decent effect, it will never work well with good expansive vr games.

Speaking of...I finally broke past my equivalent of the runner's wall and can make it to the "final boss" pretty consistently...with the Hunter. Would blame RNG, but I died due to stupid shit on all of those accounts.
Also, fuck the kill pillars...
Dy been pump faking on Shadowrun for a minute now.

Uncharted 2 is still great. Although I had to knock the difficulty down from Hard to Normal. Bad guys were ridiculous bullet sponges on Hard.

Nice. Only picked it up this week and am feeling overwhelmed by how huge the levels are and the amount of shit you can do.
By Red Blaster Go To Postyo this ni-oh alpha on ps4 is hard as fuqi keep trying to fight all these revenants and getting my ass handed to me
I hope Ni-Oh isn't some tryhard Souls shit and is more like Onimusha.
It's bad enough when Souls is its own garbage. But when it infects stuff that I'm interested in, that's the line.

It's inspired by Souls.
It's been a long time since I played Onimusha so I don't even remember how it feels. I only played Ni-Oh for about an hour, and there's different types of weapons (katana/spears/axe) and you can level up skills for each style. I prefer the spear, so with a half circle motion + triangle, I can sweep them to the ground for example. There's also different stances which you can change on the fly, which I'm sure if you play more than an hour will be really useful with all the stuff you can do. The three skills that I chose to level up didn't really give me time to explore possibilities
I only played for an hour just to see if it was as boring as Souls games and I enjoyed it. I'll be buying it Day 1

the active stamina reload with r1 is essential to not getting wrecked
the actual combat resembles something of an onimusha ninja gaiden hybrid--the way enemies swarm you and the speed at which they move is straight out of those games
the shrines are not too far off from the ones in ninja gaiden but the souls inspiration is evident in the leveling system, blood stains, and how you need to return to corpse after you die

I played some of it. I'd be down if the dudes you fought at the start were demons and they took those kind of hits. I'd be down if it was Bushido blade 'everything can die in one hit, including you' type stuff. But the fact that it's just dudes that take like 5 hits to go down and you only take 1-2 and they're just dudes, kind of ruins it for me.

well you have no armor at the beginning. game is still ultimately an arpg.
By Hitch Go To PostOn Crushing basically every shot needs to be a headshotThat doesn't sound fun.

The developers are pretty open about the obvious souls influence
but unlike souls it's actually a challenging game lol
Gonna play some more on my day off. it's kinda fun?
It has souls leveling and bloodstain crap though so I'll probably pass on full release
I'm used to just jumping into a game, playing on the hardest difficulty and dying maybe once the entire campaign.
It was refreshing to get Charlie Villanueva'd not even 10 minutes into the game.

Been playing through Manhunt for some reason the last few nights. I still own the PS2 version which I beat all those years ago and hold the game in high regard.
I can't believe how much I'm struggling to do the very basics like moving around the environment. The X-axis camera controls are invert with no option to change, which is killing me. This is odd because they provide the option for the Y-axis. I just....I don't even know or want to begin to understand game development at this level of stupidity.
The upped res image quality looks fine all things considered, but the controls are awful.

So....Nintendo announced the NX won't be released until March 2017, Zelda WiiU/NX has been delayed until March 2017, they will not be mentioning NX at E3 but will only focus on Zelda... oh, and the NX is a brand NEW concept....
LOL. THIS company.

dunno what to say about nintendo anymore
if they're only going to show off 1 game at e3, they've lost it

Anyone else feel that up-ressed PS2 games look worse than the originals? Something about the mixture of sharpened edges and muddy textures looks awful to me
By Xpike Go To Postdunno what to say about nintendo anymoreHaven't they typically ignored e3 anyways though?

without a proper remaster, sd games always look better on sd tvs
