I don't want Mirror's Edge anymore.
The sequel may as well be Ace Combat Assault Horizon at this point

Played some Heroes of the Storm with my guildies after a WoW raid.
Had a ton of fun. Finally get MOBAs. Well. Lite-MOBAs.

By Facism Go To PostNever really rated the first one, to be honest. It was decent for £3, though.
Same for me. I tried to get into it, when Origin gave it to me for free. But it was just a bit meh.
I always thought Mirror's Edge being such a fan favorite was some revisionist history shit
because I remember the campaign in the first game being a disorientating mess and it being reviewed as such

The first half hour of Saint's Row 4 goes from SOCOM to Independence Day to Happy Days to The Matrix. Then they let me play as the president with blue skin, pink pigtails, and G cup tits. And now I have super powers. This is the greatest game I've ever played.
What the hell happened in the previous two games that it came to this?

By Smokey Go To Post3 was a mistakeYeah, I haven't heard great things. I'll give it a go and if it's too much of a chore I'll play something else.

This is the greatest game I've ever played.I didn't play SR1 or 2, but it seems with 3 they knew they couldn't compete on the same field as GTA, so they started dialing up the insanity. When they got to 4 they basically went all out and I love it. It's my favorite "superhero" game ever.

Make sure you play the Christmas DLC.
yea Saints Row 1 and 2 were always looked at as a poor mans GTA (even though SR2 is the GOAT open world game) so the change of direction was to stand out.
Saints Row 2 was fucking great. Ended up doing them a lot of good to just embrace the fuckery though.

Been playing nothing but BLOPS III consistently for like the past month or so on Xbox One. I'm caught in the cycle of unlocking shit and I can't help it. Probably gonna buy the Season Pass this week. There's a ton of content in the game. This is my future.
Saint's Row IV is a better Matrix game than any of the Matrix games. My only real complaint is the lack of polish - I'm getting caught up on the sides of buildings when leaping around, seeing some small animation issues here and there, and the economy could be balanced a little better. It's a few steps away from being great.
There's a Dubstep gun, though.

Oh no @ Enter the Matrix. Totally forgot that existed. lol. The only thing memorable was the hacking minigame to get the cheat engine working.
Enter The Matrix sounded so fucking good from the previews
I only have 3 memories of it. Post Office level, drab sewer level and shooting a plane's tyres before it can take off

this Zombi game they gave away with Plus this month is a fairly decent time waster, shame movement is so slow
Path of Neo was batshit insane, but it was incredibly rough around the edges, like it still had a year of development left, but they said fuck it and shipped it early.
Some people on gaf gave me shit for what I said about QB, but now that we're out of the honeymoon period. I'm very interested to see if they still got shit to say.
Heroes is so fucking good. Rehgar is that mother fucker

dying light is too good to be real
super fun traversal, sidequests aren't too numerous and don't overwhelm, interesting enough plot for what it is, and slamming a zombie in the head with a bat over and over until the head cracks open never gets old

Dying Light's mission design tends to be totally banal, but.. the movement and combat mechanics are a sheer delight - it's like a refinement of both Mirror's Edge and Dead Island taped together and it's kind of an absolute joy to just play.
Juggling two MMOs is tough, even when you can play them casually.
In GW2, I wanted diamond rank in PVP for a free Ascended backpack, but couldn't get there due to terrible RNG teams and just plain old fatigue. In mean time, I schedule two nights a week to streaming/WvW for the guild. I don't begrudge nor regret this as it's the part I have the most fun with, but scheduling around a game is always an odd thing. It's required because of the nature of organized WvW though. Interdependence isn't as bad as it is in tab-target based PVE MMO raiding, but its strong enough that you want your best suited up to do it at an appointed time.
Odd thing, big changes are supposed to come to WvW and I was SUPPOSED to be in the alpha for this. I am the primo type of player they need to test this, but due to how things played out, I did not get in while part-time PVErs did. Kind of a mess, honestly. No hate for those that got in.
In BDO, I could have hit 50 awhile ago but don't want to grind towards it. I upped my farming and play the game like a beautiful Farmville now. Going to try to hit 50 on my Sorceress before Muso/Blader comes out, which is the class I always wanted to play in the game. I have yet to be ganked or even attacked even though I am the level for open PVP. I think Daum/Pearl is wondering how to get everyone to 50 and into PVP. My advice would be to reduce the gear gaps. Westerners do not like grind-to-win.

Respectable,
Game is fun and fills that "Die until you learn"-itch for me that others might get from the Souls game.
But Ys does it so much better IMO, kinda mad I slept on the games.
Story at GiantBomb.com
Today, multiple sources have confirmed for us details of the project, which is internally referred to as the NEO. No price was provided, but previous reports indicate that the NEO would sell at $399.
The NEO will feature a higher clock speed than the original PS4, an improved GPU, and higher bandwidth on the memory. The documents we've received note that the HDD in the NEO is the same as that in the original PlayStation 4, but it's not clear if that means in terms of capacity or connection speed. Starting in October, every PS4 game is required to ship with both a “Base Mode” which will run on the currently available PS4 and a “NEO Mode” for use on the new console.
The NEO will not supplant the current PS4, but will exist alongside of it and use the same user environment.
Sony seems committed to keeping the NEO and the original PS4 player bases connected. As such, there will be no NEO-only games, and Sony will not let developers separate NEO users from original PS4 players while playing on PSN. Likewise, Sony explicitly and repeatedly states that developers cannot offer exclusive gameplay options or special unlockables for NEO players—so don’t expect NEO owners to get a level editor or a special Rocket League car that you won’t have access to on your original PS4.
That said, so long as both systems have the same feature, the NEO can run an improved version. A local co-op game that features four players on the base PS4 could offer an eight player co-op mode on the NEO, for instance. But again, don't expect those differences to transfer to online modes.
PS4 Base and NEO versions of a game will also need to have parity with regard to peripheral support. So don’t expect NEO Games to have exclusive VR modes. Sony makes no mention of PlayStation VR in the docs we've seen, so it's hard to know what that means for the persistent rumors that this upgraded PS4 will be able to support PSVR without the "breakout box" that the headset ships with. That said, so long as the NEO's upgrades apply to PSVR games, developers should be able to get even more performance out of Sony's VR headset.
Games released previous to the NEO can take advantage of this hardware upgrade, but only if developers decide to patch their titles.

Hard to say but that does not seem a very big bump in performance. Seems like a Radeon 7970 with imperceptibly better CPU and RAM speeds.
By P S Y C H Go To Postis that powerful enough to provide 60fps variants of games going forward?
Maybe at 1080p. Given you cant get 60fps in a lot of games at 4k with a 980Ti then fuck no
Been playing Heroes of the Storm every single night now
get home at 10. fucking 4 hours later all the sudden
get home at 10. fucking 4 hours later all the sudden
All of it sounds solid and thought through from a business standpoint. Techwise: Sure Polaris 10 is being finalized now anyway and there is probably a higher margin selling a new box with the new GCN 4.0 than keep on building the old GCN. It's faster, it's more efficient, it's smaller and stays cooler.
But man do I feel shafted having bought my PS4 in November.
In combination with PSVR this might be just as costly as buying a Rift or Vive if PS4.5 launches alongside it.
