but the requirements of Vive are still far too much to interest me.
By Smokey Go To Post217hrsI don't know man. It got out of hand and I just went with it until there was nothing left to see. Left like 50 tapes untouched too.

Why
The Division's dodgy DPS stats are annoying me. Didn't see the big deal before, but I get it now.
It seemingly assumes that when you hit a certain threshold on accuracy, every shot will be a headshot. That throws the numbers way out of kilter when some guns and mods have a headshot damage bonus.
Would help if the shooting range wasn't a joke.

Yea, there's honestly way too much going on behind the scenes with the guns in general too. It's a chore going through the talents list. I try to make things easy by just going by the DPS and focusing on maxing firearms, health, or skill with armor. I'm not about to do a bunch of crunching to min max a build.
The game is in a good place for me right now. I jump in for a challenge mission and hop off. Easy and done.
Hype went down severely at the fact that raids are only 4 players. Just sounds like a harder version of the challenge modes. Incursions needed to be six players or more and required some element of puzzle solving.

Tried Warrengate earlier, some idiot spent 5 minutes pissing about on the other side of the map. Then he finally turns up and keeps rolling around, sprinting into the middle of the enemies and dying. Didn't get past the first objective.

Same thing happened to me. Then I went and did another Hard mission solo to get the 15 and came back to Warrengate. I was teamed up with the most god tier team. So damn good. I need to run DZ and grind to 50.

38 now, hoping to do 2 levels or so a day. Running the DZ is risky as fuck though with less than 3 people in your group.
Played a little bit of Quantum Break on PC. Seemed alright.
It does, however, have one of my biggest pet peeves in video games. Don't put fucking long winded collectibles in your game and then have the NPC going, 'COME ON MAN HURRY UP' 'COME ON LETS GET GOING' even when you're by yourself 'GOTTA GET MOVING'

I need people to play with on Smite PS4. It's gotten to that point where i'm getting matched with the thickest shits in the universe. Had 3 teammates with 20+ deaths each by the end of a long hour conquest game, just fucking feeding the horrid players on the other team. Couldn't carry as Artemis at that point and our great Hades had given up because of these 3 stooges :k
Would have been an easy win if they played their Gods and stopped treating the mode as TDM.

Tried PS4 remote play yesterday and it ran like shit, couldn't even connect to my PS4 3/4ths of the time.
Tried it today and it works as good as can be, definitely a great move by sony.

I haven't met a team of randoms that couldn't get through challenge mode yet, and always without mics. Some go easier than others though.
One thing that's annoying me right now is the DZ. It's completely broken. Decked out in all high end shit, get attacked by a rogue and see my bullets barely effing denting him, get the death screen and of course he's a level 60 DZ or something. Just terrible.
Damages need to be equalized ala Destiny in the DZ for PvP. Low level players should be bullet sponging higher level A.I, but regular players should go down in a relatively expected window of time. Let there be a dedicated PVP arena where level differences fully matter so the 1%'s can go at it for grand loot, let the rest of us have a decent DZ experience.
Yeah, the base game seems fine but I don't like those videos in Quantum Break at all. They go on forever and aren't based on the main character, so why would anyone care?
I wouldn't be opposed to them in say an Alan Wake 2 though where the gameplay is more of the night time stuff and the videos are the day time interactions. And they go full on Twin Peaks with it.

I'm all about a Dark Zone run at any time with a 4 man squad. But that's the problem is finding a 4 man reliable squad.
I guess I'm not an expert but I feel like Smite matchmaking isn't very good. Instead of putting you on teams with people that are similarly skilled against opponents that are also similarly skilled, it puts you with the dumbest mother fuckers on Earth the second you start going on a win streak. It's like the game punishes you for being good. It's especially bad on PS4 right now with all the new players.

Yup. Thinking I might just stop playing. Worse than dota mm at the moment

I mean as long as they got the gear I just need bodies with me. Anything beyond a literal blind man has its uses in the Dark Zone even if its just a human shield.

Just unbelievable. What a shit show, MS. I didn't think it was possible but it looks like QB has taken the title of 'worst PC port' away from Arkham Knight.

I highly doubt that. Even if they did eventually fix Arkham Knight, at the launch (and for several months) it was completely unplayable.
Not too surprised with a bad quantum break port, just what I would expect from MS really. Keep insisting they are taking the pc crowd seriously, release a few half arsed ports, some extremely shit store that makes uplay seem nice and then quietly exit the pc gaming market again. It's the cycle they have been working for a long time now, and I do not quite understand the point. But they sure seem like they can't even bother.
It's been fine for me on PC. But I haven't tried to push it or anything.
The actual issue has been the MASSIVE stuttering on the live action parts.

Got the go ahead to use a machine at an office to record game stuff. Xenon E5-2630 v3, 64 gigs of ram, a quadro m4000 and a 4k screen.
Not exactly built for gaming but eh. I take it this will be able to run modern things well?
Going back home to poverty sucks. 😢

After the flop of the Wii U, the half step ideas of the PS4K.
This is probably the least I've ever been excited about 'new consoles' prior to the release of information. We'll see how it ends up when stuff is actually out there, but the ideas that I've heard and what my expectations are aren't very appealing to me.

Don't think there's anything very special about it? Well seeing as Absolutions was quite different from the previous Hitman games, people wanted it to go back to its roots, which it somewhat did.
The Hitman formula is what people want. Interesting settings and setups, with a variety of ways to get the job done.
If they'd tried doing something above and beyond what they're going for (final package) people wouldn't have been happy.
It's a formula that nobody else has done, not well at least. It's clearly not looking to draw people who didn't care for the old ones, and I like that tbh. Make what you're good at, and what your fans want.
Absolution looked like a game nobody wanted, or wanted to make.

All of those hrs in Binding of Isaac and I'm realizing how much I relied on items to carry, instead of skill. I haven't made it past the 4th floor in Gungeon yet. :(
With the exception of the bosses, I can pretty much flawless the first floor with the default pistols. Close to being able to do it in the second, but damn.
The bosses have a little to much health, imo. Even if there is absolutely nothing cheap about them, and they can be killed with the reg weapons...they take a touch long. That said, if you have the right guns...like the fucking bfg9000, they really aren't shit. Gungeon turns into DOOM with that gun. lol

I don't want to spend this much time on it, but I could write an essay about everything Quantum Break does wrong. It is the most forgettable video game I have ever played. It reminds me of what games would look like if the CD-I and 'Hollywood Multi Media' were mega hits. The story is all over the place, none of the characters are developed whatsoever, there is no attachment to anyone, the acting in the games is only compounded by the god awful acting inbetween each act starring Shitty Chris Evans, Overacting Seth Green, and Failed Abercrombie Model That Looks Like She's Always Going To Cry or Laugh.
The writing is so god awful that there is literally a random goon saying, 'I can't wait to kill your wife' and a random, out of place speech about how the idea of God is dumb. The only thing you will remember about this game if you play it, which you shouldn't, is that Lance Reddick kills it at these god awful lines he's fed.
The sets of the live action parts are so fucking sterile, the acting is so bad across the board from everyone that's not named Lance Reddick or Shawn Ashmore(which is a pointless trait because Ashmore, who plays the game's protagonist, is the most boring, cliche, video game programmer self-insert protagonist with ZERO DEPTH explained in the whole game), an incredibly poor selection of weapons where half the assault rifles feel the same, the awful attempt at an American accent by Dominic Monaghan, the powers that are cool for like 4 minutes and then just feel pathetic and weak with a completely uninteresting upgrade system.
I don't even want to call the game trash because it doesn't deserve a label that means it did SOMETHING. It is the most bland, mass market produced looking game I've ever played. It is the USA Original of video games, it's like those mid-tier shooters from last generation with a bigger budget(like Wanted: Weapons of Fate or Binary Domain -- but both those games are more interesting)
I will not remember Quantum Break a year from now. I might not even remember it a month from now other than a waste of money. And that has nothing to do with the port on PC and everything to do with the game itself. And I'm not much of a picky gamer considering I've enjoyed other 'middling' games like Mad Max and Far Cry Primal and the standard Ubisoft fare. This game is somehow more bland than an Ubisoft title. Just think about that for a minute.
