MGSV reminds me a lot of Vanquish. All the bells and whistles that separate a good game from an average one that plays well are notably absent.
Horribly underwhelming full stop to the series imo.
Vanquish has the decency to not overstay its welcome though.

Either you won 16-5 or you lost 5-16, there really was no in between. The other biggest complaint was how people troll on it.
Ever since Valve reverted the rank system to the way it originally was, all these people that deranked from LEM/Supreme/Global to Silver/Nova decided to sub to ESEA thinking they were actually decent. Matches are far too one sided, sometimes you get teams that have 10rws (round win shares, basically how much you a contribute to a win) against a team with 6rws players. Also I don't know why, but these rich kids somehow convinced their parents to let them pay $6.95 a month so their son could troll when they could do the same in Valve MM/faceit/CEVO all for free.
They released an update that should hopefully make ESEA worth subbing to. It added ranks so theoretically matches should be way more balanced. I can update you in maybe a few days once more people are done with placement matches.

Wait...they changed the tank system in GO?
Its still the same rank system, but for like 6 months the ranks were top heavy. There were almost no silvers (lowest rank) and like 40% of the playerbase was LEM (3rd highest rank) or above.
Since Valve never communicates, all we can assume is this was due to a massive VAC ban that happened around that time. As a result everyone got pushed up to ranks they didn't deserve. Valve ended up fixing that causing people to go back to the ranks they were at originally.

I only started playing like 2 months ago so I have a lot to learn, but my games have hardly improved from when I calibrated at silver.

Unfortunately ESEA is not what you're looking for then. Instead of blaming you for their rank, they will just blame you for their RWS being low. There also won't really be any tactics. At the end of the day it's a pug, as you go up in ranks (MM or ESEA) you'll just get people that manage to run around less like headless chickens and have better aim.
If you want teamwork you have to ask. Ask them to flash for you, ask them if they can smoke something off. In fact fuck asking, tell them to do it. The biggest problem that plagues CS is the lack of direction in the matches. When someone isn't telling the team what to do it becomes a clusterfuck. If they don't listen, they don't listen. I thought an xbox one upgrade has been heavily needed for some time but I can't help but think a PS4.5 is a big flashing red light that PSVR is poop on the current hardware, they have no other reason to consider upgrading the hardware
