I got to stop buying so many games this year. Just wind up not finishing anything and losing interest after short time cause I wanna play whatever the hot new thing is.

I will get DS3, but can't think of anything else coming out this year worth playing
was thinking about SFV but may as well wait for the riot fighter which will inevitably dominate the fighting game scene
Bought the Division and I'm enjoying it, but I wouldn't say my mind is absolutely blown.
It's a good, solid game that's entertaining me till Dark Souls 3 and Ratchet hit.

By King Riovane Go To PostLoving the Division. Im enjoying it. Whenever any of you cats get it on PS4, lets roll on it.What level are you?
I've massively outlevelled the people I'd normally play with, I'm 24 and they're like 5-9 :(
I see Smokey isn't keeping us up on the Division reviews, so here you go:
By Jay Whatever Go To PostI'm watching gameplay of The Division and I'm not seeing the draw.
No matter how frustrated I grew with the game's semi-indestructible enemies or its repetitive leveling structure, I absolutely could not stop playing. The world was too engrossing, the loot was too enticing, and the campaign was too gripping for me to simply walk away. I stopped caring about the game's flaws after the first few hours and proceeded to lose myself in obsessive stat optimization and cooperative gun battles. The problems (and frustration) never disappeared, but I was more than happy to play through the pain.Sounds exactly like what I anticipated and why I won't buy it.

Its by no means the perfect game. But its an absolute blast to play with a group of friends. Solid little RPG that functions as a third person shooter. Stats matter, weapon stability matter, proper gear and building your Base of Operations matter. Perks matter. Buffs matter. All qualities you would find in an RPG. Except its with guns. And a janky cover system. But I chalk that up to Ubisoft, because they have never gotten a cover system done right. Future Soldier was on the right path tho. Too bad that game failed on other levels. But I digress, The Division is an RPG wrapped in a Tom Clancy coat. If people went in with that knowledge, they may not have as many complaints about bullet sponge enemies and the like.
Example. I got one shotted by a level 28 mob while I was level 15. I have no reason to get upset. I aggroed a mob with a fucking skull in the level marker, i got what I deserved. Some would argue what the fuck. Me im an OG on RPG's. I get it.
The bottom line is The Division is a great multiplayer RPG wrapped in a third person shooter that suffers from the Ubi-syndrome.

The mine death penalty in Stardew Valley is disproportionately rough compared to everything else in the game.
I just couldn't get into having to shoot enemies, human enemies, in the face dozens of times to kill them. That dice roll board game shit with guns doesn't appeal to me. I'm glad people seem to be happy with it though. Sounds like Ubi have a solid base to build from via DLC because we all know it won't be until next gen that they invest in a sequel.
Here's a question:
Is No Man's Sky the worst marketed game in recent memory?
Do people really want Myst in 2016 minus the puzzles or character's or narrative? Because that's what this seems like with every new bit of media I watch. They can't show more than a few seconds of walking without switching planets because there doesn't seem to be much of anything going on on any of these procedurally generated floating rocks.
Can anyone link to something appealing about this $60 "indie" please? I want to like it. I really do.
Nice packaging though.

Evolve is the worst marketed
No Man's Sky is the most self-destructively vague. In fact, calling it vague is probably being kind. Can't help but get the feeling that they've done a poor job of describing why you'd want to play it for more than 2 hours because there is really no reason you'd want to play it for more than 2 hours.

No Man's Sky is gonna be carny of the year in gaming
still have no idea what the game is about other than boring, shallow exploration

Like I said before, the idea of exploring a procedurally generated world sounds extremely dull. Remember how people bashed the Skyrim caves for that? Well, how about a whole game about that?

By GQman2121 Go To PostI finally went back and finished episodes 46 & 47 of MGS V last night.
Wow, that revelation was not what I was expecting. It's so dumb, but kind of in a clever Kojima way that I kind of liked it.
The game as a whole feels wildly under baked, but I definitely enjoyed the time (150 hours somehow) I spent with it.
By Xeno Go To PostI just got to chapter 2 and I have like 110.
WAT?
I completed 3/4 of the missions in chapter 1 using a Tranq gun and barely hit 20 hours. What are you guys doing? Building mother base should not count as play time. 100 hours on MGS V is insane to me as it's rather easy to S rank a good chunk of those missions.
I've done all of the side ops so far. Some of them more than once. Also when I'm just chatting with friends I'll run around and just cause mayhem at various bases.

By Furyous Go To PostWAT?I don't know man. Some of the missions can take as little as ten minutes, but a few of them can take up to an hour or more if you approach them a certain way. I've played well over 100 of the side ops, listened to a bunch of the tapes and watched every cut scene. That shit adds up I guess. Still showing only 75% completion from the ACC.

Not sure how much quality loss there is with this host, but I found the big city in Black Desert. I climbed to the highest spot and took some pics.
looks like 100% quality loss to me.

Morning yall
The Division is the UK's biggest ever game launch during the first three months of any year.
The online shooter's arrival last week was the biggest Q1 debut for any game since previous record holder, PS2 racer Gran Turismo 4 back in 2005.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostThe new HITMAN is legit.I can't stop playing it. Content rich game. Picking apart Paris. I can't wait for the next episode, but at the same time, I still have a LOT to enjoy with this one.
A Ubisoft 86 is in reality a 96 by any other metric tbh
what makes the new hitman better than absolution?

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostA Ubisoft 86 is in reality a 96 by any other metric tbhThey redid the disguise system back to something a LOT better, not identical to previous games but nearly. You can actually see who is a "boss" of your disguise subtype. For instance, if you're dressed as a waiter, you can see who is a manager and will notice that you don't belong as opposed to Absolution, where anyone you are dressed up as could see through you. Levels are made better, so far at least. Incredibly dense. Tons of different ways to complete levels -and- plenty of reasons to go back to it. Absolution did a few things right - different challenges in-game like "picked up the Janitor's hammer" and shit like that, but it makes more sense in this one. Also Contracts mode, from Absolution, is in this, which is the best thing Absolution introduced.

"Opportunities" by overhearing things are in this game, which guides you to other ways to exploit the security or level if you want to use them. Usually tied to a challenge. Also "tiers" of going back to the game with more difficult targets and criteria to fulfill before killing them. One mission might be "Kill this spy!" however you want, next time is "Kill this other dude in the level, but do it dressed as a soldier, and kill him with this gun" which makes you explore even further.
It's great.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postso this is an episodic release? 15 dollars for a level?Yes, but you technically get three. A training level, a "re-enactment" level of some shit that went down in the late 70s or early 80s (which is cool) but the meat of the game is one Paris level and it is DENSE.
You can buy the full thing which is essentially a season pass. It'll be more expensive if you buy it episode-by-episode. You can get the intro pack and then buy the upgrade pack which costs as much as the full thing. But yeah, game is legit and I've spent all weekend playing lol which is pretty crazy since this is my first HITMAN game and only took the plunge because I enjoyed the beta so much.
Only gripe I have is the always online features it has which only seem to be there as a form of DRM.

The missions are really well done in the Division but leveling up in between to be ready for those missions is tedious as all hell.
The side mission content is repetitive and boring.
I wish I could just play mission after mission, but the stupid ass game forces me to level up first through doing shitty side stuff.

shooting feels really good on PC so I don't mind running around doing side content
game needs some kind of mount though...would be a bit corny summoning a bike or something but its quite necessary imo
