By DY_nasty Go To PostFollowing upI'm really liking it. I just got the point where they explain the origin of daemonblight and I like virtually all the characters. They have understandable motivations and actually act on them. In the cases of Velvet, Elenore, and Laphicet, you can actually see them develop out of their original one-dimensional character depth as they adventure and spend more time around the rest of the party.
Berseria is better than Vesperia
It's not high art or anything, but it is enough to keep me entertained while really digging the combat system. The equipment, skill, and enhancing systems are pretty grindy, but I haven't really grinded and I still feel like I'm keeping up and am not underpowered at any point while playing on Hard.
By Ciaran Go To PostNier's demo was….not good. It was surprisingly bland and lacked characterThe level and enemies in the demo are incredibly dull to look at. Its the main worry I have with Nioh as well, in terms of the levels at least, the enemies sseem varied enough.
one game off the list!
Speaking of Nioh, its getting good reviews.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postmight have to give that a go once it goes on sale–better than vesperia? I want it.I just hit the 'better than Vesperia' mark... its about halfway through the game. Berseria is merely really, really good until then.
Like Kibner said though, the equipment grind can be a chore - kinda forces you to switch difficulties up a bit if you want to be a proper skill whore.

I don't like it either. My two biggest problems with post Bayonetta 1 Platinum Games are present in the demo.
1. It's too dodge happy. You can just mash dodge at any time and get the "timing" reward pretty safely. I know this is done for accessibility reasons, but I think without an element of risk to your defensive options in these games, they're really boring to use. I'm at least hoping for more variety of defense beyond dodge in the full game.
2. The most basic enemy doesn't really react to anything you do and dies extremely quickly. I kinda think the most basic common enemy that will almost assuredly flood every encounter alongside new enemies later in the game, should be fun to fight. And by fun I mean they should have a variety of hit reactions for your entire moveset, and be at least somewhat durable so you can use them as combo fodder. Bayonetta is still the only game they've made to date that gets this right.

Had the chance to get that Sony XD8005, but I waited out as I heard of problems with some external HDDs. A crucial feature for me and my older Samsung TVs never had a problem.
Waiting for a good deal now for the KS7090 (7000 in your case, and 8000 for the US guys).
Local market had the 55" for 1300€, but that was just to much. Oh dear ;_;
The Sony 43XD8088 was perfect for me but I just kept waiting for it to hit £500, and it never did :(
Got a 10% discount from Argos, but they in particular have been raising the price, its at £689 there now. Might just take the L and get the silver one from Amazon for £603. Fuck silver electronics tho :(

Though, availability might come into play at that point...

As Kibner said, new models will be there soon enough. March - April I think, prices will go down for sure.

You can get a KS8000 55" for 999$, while the cheapest option here was 1400$ ;_;
its going to take destiny 2's pro mode looking really appealing for me to upgrade

It'll probably be on sale around time of Scorpio launch. My OG PS4 hooked up to my 23" monitor, so I'm good on the Pro
R6 free to play this weekend on all systems btw
Finished FFXV and have been doing some post story stuff. It definitely has some issues but I really liked it.
Damn you Sony for having an online store that's accessible through mobile. I'm drunk and just bought The Last Guardian... That 34.99€ was too tempting...

Fire Emblem Heroes is out. I've learned my lesson with other gacha games, so I'm going through the motions rerolling, until I get a 5 star base (or a someone I recognize).

By p s y Go To PostYo LFM I never got an email and I don't have the ghost recon demo on the ubisoft site either? That's weird as the site says they've been sent. If they aren't accepted in 48h they revert back to me so I will try again tomorrow.
Do have any spare GR codes, Martins? (Assuming it's PS4?)

Absolutely.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostI don't right now.No worries - I'll try my luck in the GAF thread.
Buying The Last Guardian messed up my budget but fuck it. First hour was exactly what I wanted and I can see myself loving the game.
I wanted Lucina, but I stopped rerolling when I got the boi Marth. Rolling without a healer atm, due to the damage my squad has.
Battles move relatively quickly, due to the game being tailored for mobile devices and the lifestyle that encompasses. You really have to pay attention to the triangle (rock, paper, scissors basically) otherwise your squad will perish...rather easily. I'm willing to bet that if they run event dungeons and the like, the difficulty is going to skyrocket.
The only aspect of the game that I'm not overly fond of is the random stats that you get from upgrades. I totally forgot that it was a thing in these games and I never have that option checked when I'm playing X-Com. RNG has been in my favor so far, but it would suck to pull a 5 star base and it end up with okay to kinda bad stats.
The gacha rates seem to be pretty fair. 6% for 5 star base, 36% for 4 star base, and 58% for 3 stars. That's a point higher than FF:Brave Exvius.
Might delete Fantasy War Tactics and roll with this. All depends on what they do with gifts and the like.

Outside of possibly rerolling for a 5 Star unit, no. It's super simple.
I spent the orbs that I've been getting from completing story missions to upgrade my castle (you get bonus XP), but I can see arguments being made to save up to summon units.
If you do decide to reroll:
You only have to finish the first 3 missions after the tutorial to get enough orbs for a multi-summon.
You need a total of 20 for a cost effective multi-summon:
15 for the tutorial
2 for the log in bonus
3 from first 3 missions.
Don't link your Nintendo account so you only have to uninstall to re-roll
If you get the error message just spam retry, don't go to the title screen, it will restart progress.
Unfortunately there is no way to get around the 300MB download as of now for unrooted devices.
If you just do the tutorial missions and get the log in bonus, that's enough for 4 summons.
edit: Oh yea, one aspect that is cool when summoning, is that the cost goes down for summons when you pull multiple times. Usually, it's 5 orbs for a summon, but if you do a multi-pull, you can pay 20 to get 5, instead of spending 25 orbs.
Fire Emblem's story is basura. I wasn't expecting much, but they didn't even try. It being a mobile/gacha game isn't even an excuse. With better writing, Brave Exvius' story would be fine for a console/handheld game. Thankfully, I'm having fun and the maps are good.

If you have the patience, reroll for 2 5 stars.
If possible, keep rerolling until you get 5 star Leon or Young Tiki, or both.
Those are the two best characters in the game.
