Yeah every character still has their own trope, but because of the setting and plot direction, you see and can compare how jaded these guys are compared to how they used to be. If you played Zestiria you can pick up on a few things with Aizen.
They're still pretty abrasive in their skits too. This is like the anti-Xillia cast, if everyone in Xillia had their families murdered in front of their eyes and then imprisoned and tortured.
When you get to the climax of the game, it'll be pretty poetic how things end with how this entire game is about vengeance and using that as a reason to keep living.
The ending is some shit. Like you can only hope that Gaelio/Vidar is this ruthless in Orphans.

Just discovered the customization options in For Honor, I'm a black viking omg. Every other warrior is decked out in armor so skin color doesn't matter lol.

Sword Art Online mobile is pretty cool. I don't see myself sticking with it though (playing to many mobile games atm). Kinda nice to see a mobile game without a stamina system, but eh? The combat is pretty responsive and quick. Seems like it's focused on making sure you know how to parry, so you don't get utterly demolished. Surprised that it's upfront about gacha percentages in Global.
Konami managed to strike gold with Yugioh. So much so, that the servers have been having problems for over a week now. I know it's Fuck Konami and all, but it's fun, easy to play, and it gives you plenty of currency to spend on booster packs. I just need the boy Marik to make an appearance. Ranked mode finds opponents pretty quickly and the netcode isn't to terrible.
Enter The Gungeon got a much needed update. Extra rooms, guns, bosses and the like. Fucking finally. Afterbirth + has been pissing me off in ways that none of the other updates for TBOI have.
Kinda want to wait until I get a PS4 and VR, but RE7 PC is tempting the fuck out of me.

I've only ever played the demo for tales of vesperia. My opinions are very trustworthy. I'm an expert. Reilo enjoys trash like the Portland Trail Blazers, very sad man, his website doesn't even have a post count, terrible!
I have to say, being involved in a 2 x 1 battle in For Honor where I managed to kill one guy and then both me and other guy kill each other with our final blow was kind of epic.
After some marathon runs with Berseria on PC compared to marathon runs of FF XV, Destiny, and NBA 2K on PS4, I can confidently say the Steam controller is far more comfortable. The PS4 controller has better face buttons and d-pad, but that's all.
I will say, ToV still has an amazing art style to this day. Watched a few videos on YT to remind myself, and it holds up so damn remarkably well. Berseria is still a very good game though.
Ok, so I got a gaming partner in Japan for the first time in years. Best co-op PC games.. Right now we beat Left 4 Dead and are almost done with Borderlands 2. What are some games that are really good in co-op??? Looking at the Rainbow Six games or maybe Far Cry 4..
The For Honor beta is over. It was very enjoyable though I could see it getting old quickly without some new modes. It's different though which is very rare these days. It's a bit odd that they'd still lock away 3 heroes before launch but it is what it is. I enjoyed the Orochi the most of what I played, and I'll probably wind up buying it when I have time to play.
Also, repeatedly tried to get back into The Division which I enjoyed but there's been so much stuff added that at this point I go the Destiny route, might as well wait on a sequel.

Just played KHDD for like 7 hours straight. For some reason it's clicking with me(didn't like the little i played on the 3ds whenever it came out), not as good as KH2 but man, I haven't played quality rpg in a sec. this is nice. The remaster is quite nice as well, looks pretty darn good.
Spent the majority of the weekend playing the BF1 trial (10 hours). The first half of the trial I played as I normally do, settings at Ultra. Got around mid 70ish with that preset. Then I decided to adjust until I got as close to 144fps as possible to match my monitors refresh rate. Ended up settling on settings that got me around 130fps. Game still looked good, but felt smooth af. Missed this PC life.
Yakuza 0 sounds really good on paper, but I dunno if it's my cup of tea?
I don't normally like fucking around doing mini games or building empires in games like Saint's Row and GTA etc, so this will ultimately be down to how good the actual combat is and the main missions?

I'll be honest with you... I just wanted an excuse to post that gif :lol:
I've never played Yakuza games past number 2. The combat in PS2 games was dial-a-combo, quite shallow tbh. It was fun figuring out all the heat moves tho (tiger punch!).
I've read that they've improved upon it dramatically after PS2 entries, so here's a gif someone posted in Y0 GAF thread
